We have spend 8 days in this marvelous house. Great location (mountain closed to the house, sea with lovely snorkling place at 1 km). The house is very quiet. The team tries to give you the best holydays that you would like. They are so nice. If you like nature, calm and quiet holydays in paradise, this is the place !

GermanyWonderful villa - relaxing stay
Left on 01/08/2013 for a stay in September 2012
We were a couple who stayed in villa Bukhit for 7 days. When we arrived we could not believe that we two will live alone in this villa with a very big and beautiful garden for some days. And after the nice welcome of the staff we felt like at home.
We enjoyed all: the villa with the nice and unique design, the outstanding garden with the huge and clean pool, the looks from the different sitting places in the garden or in the mointains and the outdoor bath room. Of course you don't have to worry about little lizards. But we liked these shy animals.
The staff is so nice and helpful. Komang, the property manager, repaired the bicycles for us. We loved to ride by bicycle to the beach or to the temples.Nyoman did the laundry for us and cooked prepared several times a really great dinner for us. And the breakfast was great too. We organised some pineapples and Nyoman prepared pancakes for us.
It was so relaxing that we really didn't like to go away. But as divers we surely did a diving trip to Mejangan Island. That is a must and it was a great experience and really worth to go. Although we were snorkeling at the Pemuteran reef. We can recommend to see the Biorock project. It's a great snorkeling there.
We liked Pemuteran a lot, because it is quiet place with a beautiful beach and mountain view and not so busy and loud as the rest of Bali.
If you are looking for a nice place to relax, you have to go to villa Bukit. We can recommend it.

SydneyHuge pool, great staff and a beautiful villa in a private settin
Left on 01/01/2013 for a stay in December 2012
We were a group of 2 couples who stayed in villa Bukhit for a week around Xmas time. We arrived at this amazing villa greeted by a group of 4 very friendly staff.
When we arrived we were impressed by the surroundings including the large pool, beautifully manicured gardens, privacy as the villa was the last one before the hill and in general the villa design and facilities.
The pool was a highlight - nice and big and very clean!
Komang the property manager ensured our needs were met whilst Nyoman cooked, cleaned and did our laundry. Kutut and Wayang did a great job looking after the garden and pool! All staff were very accommodating. For Christmas Komang and the staff organised a suckling pig with side dishes, local drink of arak and a large fruit basket which turned out to be a huge feast!
Also - great condiments supplied at breakfast time with the organic jam, coffee, nice butter, bread, fresh OJ etc etc.. And the constant replenishment of the drinks and fridge items were appreciated by us all!
Pemuteran is in a quiet part of Bali located in the North West. There are no big supermarkets, boutiques, exclusive bars and restaurants as you would find in Kuta or Seminyak but that's what makes this location unique. You won't be hassled to buy things off the street and are free to enjoy the surroundings and do as much or as little as you want!
We spent very little money during our week here and we ate off the house menu almost every night (food prepared by Nyoman) + enjoyed a Xmas feast and consumed other food and drinks as ordered through the staff.
Our stay was so relaxing and just what we needed after a busy year working. We will definitely recommend this villa to friends thinking of coming to Bali in the future. -

PerthRelaxing and beautiful
Left on 10/21/2012 for a stay in October 2012
Great villa with beautiful grounds, located in a quiet corner, but with plenty to do close by - if you can tear yourself away from the villa.
Staff helpful, friendly, discrete - easier and nicer to eat in than go to a resteraunt. We have 2 boys (5 and 3), and they had a great time in pool. With young kids best to have a car or hire moped to get to beach or other things.
Diving good. Coral reef right up to beach - great place for kids to learn to snorkle, and even toddlers can put on goggles and see reef fish swimming - fantastic. -

SydneyHad a fantastic stay there
Left on 05/14/2012 for a stay in April 2012
We stayed at this villa for a week and had a really great stay there. Pemuteran is so quiet and relaxing, yet has all the required facilities. I prefer this area over the more touristy areas of Bali and will definitely go back there again.
The villa is very comfortable and nicely fitted out. There were five staff there, who took care of all of our needs, including the housekeeper, who is also an excellent cook. She will cook for you, so there is no need to go out, although there are a few very excellent restaurants nearby.Response from Mark van der Laan - 05/17/2012

AustraliaPerfect retreat offering many chill-out zones
Left on 10/16/2011 for a stay in September 2011
This place is perfect. The pictures on this website do not do it justice!! We are a family with kids aged 8 & 10yrs. Villa Bukit Kaja Kauh had extensive indoor and outdoor living areas. Everyone found their own perfect chill-out zone. My son spent his time on an indoor day bed we named the Indian Throne'. I loved the outside day bed on the verandah... Wonderful to have your own crystal clean pool and the grounds were extensive. The place was spotlessly clean. Not a single piece of grit when walking around barefoot. The staff were always attentive - breakfast was included and we ate at the villa most nights too. The villa is about 900 meters from the beach and main accommodation strip of Pemuteran.
The other accomodation options at Pemuteran are all adjacent to each other along a strip of a few hundred meters of beach front. We were glad we choose to stay at the Villa. The Villa offered heap and heaps more space and only a short stroll (900m) from other options such as amertha Bali, Taman Selini, Pondok Sari, Seen Reef. Would recommend this Villa Bukit Kaja Kauh to all families.
Only draw back - there are no taxis in Pemuteran so you do need to head back to the villa before nightfall if going by foot. It is however easy to hire a motor bike if you think you need extra freedom.
Enjoy !! -

We had had a completely perfect stay in the villa and a wonderful time. We stayed for five days (and in Pemuteran for another four days, in addi assri - also nice but no way close to our villa bukit experience) We were with only three people - which felt really decadent; we could also have stayed with ten people or more. The housekeeper aioman and his wife, the ladies who did the cooking and celaning, the gardener ketut - they were the nicest and friendliest people we ever met. We felt completely welcome and at ease. Me and my wife did a lot of snorkling at the reef seen site (just as beautiful as amed) and made nice snorkling trips to pulau menjangan. My mother in law really enjoyed the beautiful swimmingpool. We also visited the wooden tower and the mangroves.
And then our only misfortune; My mother in law walked around the house with her reading glasses still on, slipped and fell in the pond. Luckely she didn't hurt herself and after a good shower she didn't look that muddy anymore too. There must still be a frog with a cheap pair of Hema reading glasses on. Even so; we still think that removing the fence was a good idea and that it enhances the garden experience in the villa. Only reading glasses should be prohibited.
We already did recommend Villa Bukit to our friends. -

A stay in Villa Bukit Kajah Kauh is the perfect way of spending holiday time, no matter how you choose to spend your day; being lazy by the pool, enjoying beach life only a few minutes away, surrounded by great restaurants, not being bothered by anyone trying to sell you anything, or making day-trips to impressive Bali sights. And always coming home to the beautiful gardens, the comfortable house and the very friendly staff, that takes wonderful care of you without being pushy. The fact that the Permuteran area is full of beautiful diving and snorkling spots definitely adds to the fun!

We had the privilege of staying in Villa Bukit together with the owner. We experienced his love for Bali, the Villa, the premises and the staff. We enjoyed being guests of such a loving and caring "family" on such a beautiful little piece of Bali.
