Description

The Beach Retreat is a beautifully decorated cottage within a traditional Sussex-style development in a quiet location directly across the road from spectacular Camber Sands beach. It's interior is creatively furnished with a mix of antique shop finds, contemporary furniture and original artwork.You will enjoy full amenities in this modern holiday home.

The ground floor has an open plan living area with a well-equipped kitchen with electric cooker, ceramic hob, 900 watt family size microwave, large fridge/freezer and dishwasher. There is a good selection of pots and pans, also recipe books.

The bright and cheerful living area has comfortable seating for five, with an electric fire, 32" Freeview HDTV, DVD player with a DVD library and secure wi-fi. The sofa converts to a sofa bed for occasional use.An oak 'butterfly' style table tucks against the wall or can be opened up to provide convenient dining for four.

The utility room has a washer/dryer, and an extensive tourist information area with books, maps and brochures to help you plan your holiday excursions. There are beach items, such as towels and games. There is a wheelchair accessible downstairs toilet. A back door provides easy access to a private carport.There is an outside tap for washing off sandy feet or paws. Just outside the front door are a patio table and chairs, including sun umbrella, for your exclusive use, also a pretty communal garden and sitting area which is shared with five neighbouring properties.

Upstairs the master bedroom has a king-size bed and the second bedroom a double bed. Both bedrooms feature double bedside tables and lamps, 100% cotton sheets and hypoallergenic duvets and pillows. The bathroom, with bath (shower over), basin, and WC has a heated towel rail and shaver point. Towels and hair dryer are provided. A 'just in case' basket provides toiletries for those who have forgotten to bring their own.

For guests with young children, there is a high- chair, travel cot and stair gate. There is also a large cool box for picnics. The Beach Retreat is a dog friendly cottage and dogs are welcome with prior arrangement.

At The Beach Retreat we designed a holiday home which we would want to rent ourselves - so we strive to provide for your every need. A welcome basket of treats greets every guest. You will find some basic staples in the cupboard such as tea, coffee, sugar, salt and pepper. The fridge has milk and fruit juice, and there is ice in the freezer.

To maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, we personally prepare for your arrival using eco-friendly products - and eco-friendly produdcts are available for your use during your stay.

The Beach Retreat is a no smoking property.

Please note that there is a £250 refundable damage deposit.

“Lovely house close to the Beach”

We really enjoyed our stay. Being less than 10 minutes walk to the beach was great. The beds were very comfortable and the house was very well equipped. The instructions for finding the location were very clear. Would definitely recommend to others.

“Lovely cottage”

We stayed here for a long weekend with our two springers, DJ and Jasper. The cottage is in a good location with walks to the beach just less than 10 min away. The cottage has everything you need, just like home from home. Very clean and comfortable beds. The welcome basket was much appreciated. I would thoroughly recommend this cottage and we hope to visit again.

Very nice house close to a wonderful beach. Hastings and Rye are in a short distance by car. Even a trip to London is possible and very cheap if you buy a super off peak ticket.

We had a really enjoyable stay at the beach retreat. The house is very clean & well equipped, with all the home comforts you would need. This made for a real ‘home from home’ feeling. The location is perfect on a very nice & quiet modern estate & just a short walk to the beach. We would definitely recommend the beach retreat to family & friends & plan to return next year.

“cosy cottage in a great location”

We really enjoyed our short stay in this lovely, well-equipped cottage. It is in a great location for the beach where we swam every day and could also walk our dog. The sand dunes are amazing. It's also only a short drive from Dungeness, Rye and Rye Harbour, where we had a lovely meal in the William the Conqueror pub. We would definitely recommend Beach Retreat and hope to return.
