Description

Sunset Chalet is located just 15 minutes from Tomar where the Templar Castle and the Convent of The Knitghts of Christ can not be missed. Fatima is well worth a visit as is Dornes. The beautiful Castelo do Bode dam with river beach (12 Km) nearby for a swim or water sports. Boat trips can also be arranged. The house has easy access to all amenities, including the local market and several restaurants for eating out.

The house has a private fenced pool, perfect for the children, and an outside furnished area for eating in the open air. On the ground floor: 4 twin bedrooms (2 ensuites) and 2 bathrooms. For larger groups we also rent the 1st floor with: 2 double bedrooms (2 ensuites), 1 twin bedroom (ensuite) and 1 large room with 2 bunk beds for 6 children with bathroom.

The villa is ideal for families, with plenty in the surrounding area to see and do during your stay.

Quinta da Barcoiça is located right in the center of Portugal, with very good accesses to all different places of the country. It is less than an hour to the West coast beaches, to Coimbra, to Fátima or to Santarém. Aveiro," the Portuguese Venice", is just 1 and an half hours, as well as Lisbon. Oporto is just under 2 hours. Around 100 Km you can find 4 very good golf courses, one of them beeing ellected nr. 1 in Europe in 2017: West Cliffs.- Óbidos

Interaction with guest

The guests will be personally received by the owners, who live in Lisbon but are permanently available by phone. The person in charge of the swimming pool will assist everyday, early in the morning and also in the evening. If necessary, a person can take care of the daily tasks of the house or even cook a meal, by direct arrangement whith the guests.

“Wonderful family home perfect for a family holiday.”

Quinta da Barcoica looked great on the website but the reality was even more amazing. Ana was very helpful prior to our visit and Jorge was most welcoming on arrival. The house is stunning, the location tranquil and picturesque, and the grounds are perfect for fun and relaxation. The pool was great and kept us cool throughout the heatwave and we appreciated little extras like pool towels and inflatables. The area has lots to offer although we only briefly visited Tomar and the lakes. Our party consisted of 15 ranging from 6 to 69 years and each of them voted this our best EVER holiday home. We would love to return. Many thanks Ana and Jorge.
