Description
Wooow is how many guests describe their experience when the set foot on this property. The views are breath-taking. They marvel at the endless blue water of the Caribbean as they turn their heads from side to side. The view is enhanced by the sight of cruise ships as they gracefully make their way in and out of the world re-known harbor of Charlotte Amalie, capital of the United States Virgin Islands. Far on the horizon one may see the sister island of St. Croix, while watching ferry boats head east to and from the other sister island of St John. However, for the most part the experience that amazes guests is the tranquil environment which surrounds them as they gaze at some smaller islands dotted across the panoramic view of the Caribbean..
The property, affectionately called Little Taj by-the-Sea, is perched some 60 feet above the sea, enabling guests to have a spectacular view of the Caribbean Sea. There are three beaches within walking distance.
The multi-level house offers a delightful blend of Caribbean, Spanish, Roman, and American architecture. Guests are greeted by expansive decks, some covered to provide the ultimate experience of gazing at the beautiful sea; some decks are open to the sky, to provide that much sought after sun tan during the day, and unobstructed star gazing at night.
Once guests approach the main house, they are greeted by the Spanish-type arches that form part of its perimeter. Once inside, the delightful architectural menu begin to unfold starting with a ball-room size living room, featuring cathedral high ceiling with open rafters plus a 300 degrees view of the sea. Semi-curved mahogany staircase leads to the island kitchen and dining area, each boasting a 180+ degree unobstructed view of the beautiful blue water of the Sea. Four of the five bedrooms also have a view of the sea. One of the bedrooms has two single beds which form a king-size bed when joined. The master bedroom also has a king-size bed.
The master bathroom is another delight for most guests. It is bigger than average bathrooms, and features an open space shower nick-named "the Water Fall", a his and hers royal wash basins, and a Jacuzzi. All five bedrooms have split-unit air condition.
The swimming pool on the eastern deck offers a romantic moment, especially in the early mornings for early risers. They can swim or sip their tea/coffee on the deck as they watch cruise ships gracefully slide into the nearby Charlotte Amalie harbor. For the evening romantics, the swimming pool is the place to watch the sunset and turn their gaze at the stars while listening to the music of the sea as the waves navigate their way over the coral reefs in the Caribbean Sea water below the property.
The property features a circular driveway which is lined by colorful bougainvillea and poinciana trees, plus coconut and palm trees whose brunches dance in the wind and provide an experience to remember. The yard has a variety of fruit plants including mangoes,bread fruit, papaya, and sugar apple.
A beach resort is within four to six minutes walking distance from the property. A nationally rated high school which features a very good gym is a 10 minutes walk or less than three minutes drive from the property. There are several fine eating places within four minutes. Shopping places including downtown, the mecca of tourist shopping, are within seven to ten minutes drive.
Above it all, the spectaculars views from Little Taj by-the-Sea make the property stand out among other vacation rentals.

As for the two beaches below my property, while the sandy beaches and beautiful water have fully recovered from the hurricanes, the restaurants are yet to be rebuilt.
