“My happy place” A beautiful and well maintained villa with a breathtaking view of Coral Bay and the Francis Drake channel. Not the hustle and bustle of Cruz Bay but still close to great restaurants in Coral Bay. Separate living and sleeping buildings isa great idea.

“Incredible Getaway” This is a great place to stay when vacationing in St. Thomas. Max is an incredible host and generously shares her home and her knowledge of the islands. Rent a car if you don't like trekking up the hill, but we made it okay without one.

“Best view in the islands!” For several years now, my favorite form of relaxation at Harbor View is kicking back in the evening and watching the setting sun slide down behind St. Thomas ...while sipping away at something with a lime in it. Great location. Just a couple minute walk downhill to the ferry dock, restaurants, the Dolphin grocery and easy-going night life in Cruz Bay. Super staff at St. John Properties.

“Incredible views, wonderful stay” My husband and I booked this rental last minute after finding an incredibly low airfare to St John, and weren't quite sure what to expect. What a amazing find! Sweet Winds is just outside of Coral Bay, overlooking Hurricane Hole, and words can't do justice to the view you'll have from this property. Even the pictures fall short of showing the incredible view we enjoyed from every room in the villa. Sweet Winds is nicely appointed, impeccably clean, and friendly to groups and families as each of the three bedrooms has a bathroom ensuite. Nina Hahler, the owner, lives next door where she paints and tends to her garden (which is also lovely with bougainvillea and gardenia in full bloom). Nina was very accommodating without being intrusive in any way, and gave us a ton of great tips on the best snorkeling spots and restaurants on the East side of the island. She also has kayaks, beach towels and chairs, and all sorts of beach items for kids available to her renters. If you want to break from the packs of tourists, and you don't require the amenities of a big resort, Sweet Winds and the Coral Bay area can't be beat, in our opinion. We highly highly recommend this rental and look forward to coming back with family next year.

“Excellent property and great destination!” Our stay here was wonderful! We just came back a few weeks ago (Jan 7-14) from our trip and we are ready to book for the next year! We had such a great time: Accommodations - The apartment is very clean and modern. It has nice comfortable beds and lovely décor in every room. The kitchen is stocked with all necessary utensils and appliances. Bathrooms are clean and modern. I loved the cherry wood doors and marble countertops all around. There is a large balcony that you can eat or relax out on. Beach chairs, towels etc. is also provided for you. Beach - you can go downstairs and you are at the Bolongo Bay beach, its lovely, you have all the water sports options that you would find at a typical resort right there. If you walk past the restaurants and the hotel (5 minute walk along the beach), there is a great snorkeling spot past the rocks, very cool! We had a rental car so we also drove (about 15 min) to Smith Bay. This beach is pure heaven! It seems to be mainly visited by locals and is not crowded with perfect white sand and beautiful calm blue waters. Pool - There are a couple of pools that you can use. We used the one by the beach; it had a tap to wash off the sand as well. The pool was nice and clean and the water was pretty warm. Food - Like I mentioned you have everything you need to prepare your food 'at home' if you are on a budget or have specific dietary needs. There are many supermarkets that deliver or you can shop in a warehouse type place (CostUless) or a supermarket (Pueblo) or some local stands that are all around. There are three popular restaurants directly in the Bolongo Bay area so you don't ever have to leave the area if you choose not to: • Iggys - casual burger type place• Mims - fancier place that serves sea food• Lobster Grill - very fancy There is a lot to do on the island and its neighbors, but we have small kids so we took it easy this time and just enjoy the water. Next time we rent this apartment, we will explore the island.

“Lifetime Memories” My family and friends rented Poi Pu for a week this past June. We had an amazing time. We loved the rock double shower. Several nights we cooked dinner and everyone ate out on the deck what a beautiful experience. It was also located close to some of the most beautiful beaches ever. The house was very clean, great amenities, cozy, and we were comfortable. If we needed anything we could call the property management and they were prompt to offer advice or their services if needed. It was also the little things that made our stay like the beach accessories that we were able to use instead of having to rent them daily. Those costs could have added up quickly. A beautiful home with a beautiful view. We can't wait to return. Also we were traveling with our 10 month old daughter. She took her very first steps at Poi Pu. We made lasting memories for our family.

“We want to return!” We had 12 glorious days at Quart-A-Nancy Point. What a fabulous spot. This was truly the most relaxing vacation we have ever taken. We have sailed to Cooper Island for the last 10 years, and decided to rent a house this time. The best decision ever! The views are spectacular, the hermit crabs very entertaining, snorkeling and kayaking for exercise, and enjoying reading on the beautiful outdoor living room porch (love the hammock!). Everything about this home is ideal. We'll be back. Thank you to Fred and Candia for allowing us to rent your paradise.

“Absolute Paradise!!!!” Thanks to Tom we had the perfect getaway!!! Fast booking, we were provided with tons of information before we even left and the deposit returned asap. This condo was in the best place - you were in your own world yet so close to everything. We had privacy, everyone was pleasant and perfect weather. All that was needed was right there. The view was beautiful, the pool 2 minutes away - walking and Sapphire Beach 5 minutes away - walking. And lets not leave out the Off the Grid food truck at the top of the hill. We are early risers so we snorkeled in the morning, walked the beach in the afternoon and made good use of the pool 7am to 10pm with cocktails and appetizers at the Sapphire and Grill. The ferry to St. Thomas is a 5 minute drive too!!! This is the place you want to be and we will definitely be booking this amazing place again. Thanks to you Tom and your condo - you rock!!!!

Palm Vista: 1 of the Top 10 Villa Views in World! Over 120 FIVE STAR REVIEWS
Cruz Bay villa
- 3 bedrooms
- 3 bathrooms
- sleeps 6
“Comfortable and pleasant with easy days and restful nights.” We returned home with fond memories of our wonderful 10 days in St. Johns. On our arrival, we were welcomed at the Cruz Bay ferry dock by a representative of Palm Vista who guided us, after picking up our car rental, to the Palm Vista villa. All operational issues of the villa and our responsibilities were explained. The lodging at Palm Vista was perfect for what we had wished--isolated when we were there, spectacular views at all times of day, comfortable, clean inside and out, nice flowers and setting, spacious and quiet. To top that, everything worked splendidly, from the kitchen and its appliances, to the showers, to the grill, to the wireless if you were so inclined. The seemingly perilous drive to Palm Vista through the turns and up the slopes was definitely worth the few anxious moments and the courageous act was always generously rewarded. We made many trips with our rented Jeep Wrangler and snorkeled and enjoyed visiting other parts of the island and having some memorable dinners. But, returning to Palm Vista was always joined with great anticipation by all four of us for the waiting discussion, drinks, sometimes dinner, and views to pass the time and to catch some sun with complete relaxation, mostly around the pool and on the main patio. Some books were read and the nights were perfect for a restful sleep. We took a chance depending upon the website for information, and it worked out excellently. I will keep Palm Vista in mind for the next time. Of course, the picture of Palm Vista copied on the ceramic cup that we took home, will come in sight every time the cup is lifted, be it containing coffee or scotch, and it will bring back great memories of the paradise we found. All things worked out regarding travel and car rental, and we enjoyed some nice food and comfortable dining in town. We all had a great time! There is no mistake here!

“Perfect!” Title says it all. PERFECT island vacation home. Better than advertised. We had 7 adults and 2 infants and had plenty of room to relax. Pool, views are incredible. Convenient enough to travel the rest of the island (although you may ask yourself "why leave!". Rick and Steve are great hosts, responsive to any questions you might have. Recommend renting SUV and also that you give yourself plenty of time at the airport when departing. Highly recommend Villa Amour and would definitely return!

“Perfect Honeymoon” My husband and I stayed at this property at the end of June/early July for our honeymoon...which ended up being great because St. John was celebrating carnival! We didn't rent a car and had no trouble navigating the island. However, we like to do things "off the beaten path"...I don't think everyone would enjoy the safari buses or "gypsy" taxi drivers, but we really enjoyed both and you can't beat the price. $1 per person go travel to Red Hook?! Billy's list of transportation, activities, etc. was amazing. We went to Coki Beach - interact with locals and snorkeling, St. John - hiking/beautiful beaches/carnival, Red Hook for groceries and restaurants/bars, Charlotte Amalie for shopping/pier/more food (avoid at all costs on Tuesdays and Wednesdays - cruise ships come in these days), Magen's Bay - beautiful and great to relax, Linquist Beach - this one was a little to windy and too much sea grass for me, but my husband enjoyed it. Some of our favorite restaurants were Duffy's (not so much the food, but the atmosphere and bartender were great), XO Bistro (amazing food and cocktails, fine dining atmosphere), Greengos (Mexican cuisine in Charlotte Amalie - fun sitting in the shopping corridors), Tap & Still (great burgers). Latitude 18 was our absolute favorite. Laid back, live music, great food, and friendly locals right on the water. The actual condo was perfect for us because we were out and about except to shower and sleep. I did cook breakfast almost every morning (there was plenty of cooking equipment for this), but we ate at a different beach or restaurant for every other meal. There were plenty of towels (for showers and the beach), bedding, and toiletries. We loved the coolers, so we could save on beverage costs when we went to the beaches. The only confusing part was the transportation around the resort. Initially, we were told we had to pay $40 a day for transportation. We kept calling for golf cart rides to the front gate (where we would catch the safari bus or a taxi)...waiting for them to ask us for payment, but they never did. A couple days into the trip, I met a very friendly resort employee and she said that was absolutely incorrect and the resort employees will take us anywhere on the grounds for no charge. The $40 a day transportation is if you wanted to go anywhere off grounds. Not a big deal, but incase someone else is told they have to pay $40...here you go. Billy was great to work with and his communication couldn't have been better. All-in-all, we can't wait to come back! It was an amazing start to our marriage :)

Honeymoon/Romantic Private Suite w Ocean View & Pool - Little Palm Guest Suite
Cruz Bay house

“Week in paradise!” Our stay in the Little Palm Suite was wonderful! The suite was exactly as described in the posting and was accurately displayed in the photos. The view of Fish Bay off the deck was amazing! It was a beautiful sight to look forward to every morning. The suite was very clean and well-stocked with necessities. Both the inside and outside (grounds) at the suite were extremely well-maintained. We appreciated having beach towels and beach chairs provided for us to use for our daily trip(s) to the beaches. Michael was a wonderful host! The information he provided to prior to our trip was extremely helpful as we made our plans. He was so helpful to us during our stay as well with directions and with restaurant and beach recommendations. We enjoyed all of the restaurants that he recommended. Our personal favorites were the Sun Dog Cafe for breakfast/lunch and the Lime Inn and Fish Trap for dinner. We loved being able to eat every meal outside for an entire week! The ice cream shop at the end of Mongoose Junction was also a favorite. Our favorite north side beaches were Hawksnest (smaller and not very busy) and Trunk Bay (busier, but so beautiful and picturesque). We really enjoyed the laid-back pace on St. John and had a truly relaxing week. I really enjoyed staying a little bit outside of Cruz Bay and the location in Fish Bay was perfect. We would highly recommend Little Palm Suite! Thank you, Michael for sharing your home with us and for helping us enjoy our week in paradise!

“Incredible, Gorgeous View!” Our family stayed at Drake's View June 13th - July 1st, 2013. We needed a villa with 4 bedrooms. It was the "view" from Drake's View that won it over! Wow, what an incredible, gorgeous view of Coral Bay & the Bvi's! The Kit, LR & DR areas are all on the upper level & flow into each other so you always feel a part of what's going on & with several seating areas, you can have your space too! There are 3 bdrms on the lower level in the main house & a private 1 bdrm cottage. All are equal with a/C & kg beds with 1 in the main house having the option to be made into twins. Entry to 1 of the bedrooms in the main house is off the porch so you have to walk outside to get to it. The kit was well equipped & used & so was the BBQ grill. We ate about ½ our meals at the villa while enjoying the view! We used the pool & hot tub just about every day after coming back from the beach. The pool gets good sun until mid-day & is larger than most. It has a gradual slope to deep end & has a built-in bench all along the length of the pool. You can sit there or in the hot tub & enjoy a nice view. The villa has plenty of outdoor seating space, sun & shade, to gather as a group or find a quiet space to yourself! Even though you could see a couple villas on other hillsides, they were far enough away & situated to where we felt complete privacy! In the evenings we enjoyed listening to music on the stereo...speakers worked great...while playing Scrabble & card games. The villa only has 1 TV...no big deal because we don't typically watch TV. The large capacity W/D are on the lower level & conveniently located near the pool's ½ bath for wet suits & towels & near the bdrms. They were used often during our 18 night stay & worked great! We loved Drake's View & the Bordeaux Mtn location...the view, close to Maho Bay & close to our family's favorite Coral Bay restaurant...Shipwreck Landing!

“Well maintained, quality furnished condo with very helpful owner.” We have stayed in several different condos @ Sapphire Beach in several different price ranges. John's is by far the best maintained despite it not being the highest end priced. It also has a great bar/eating area on the lower deck. Renting from John is like renting from a friend or family member. There were no surprises from John other than I had over paid without realizing & he contacted me to let me know he was sending me a check.

“Truly Exceptional Property!” Villa Sunrose was a truly exceptional property. The villa was exceedingly well appointed, very tasteful and spacious. All the bedrooms were extremely well decorated and comfortable, and the cottage was a once in a lifetime experience. The main living areas and kitchen were spacious and beautiful, and accommodated our group wonderfully. The owners have thought of everything, and make your stay warm and inviting, from having beach chairs and coolers to kitchen supplies ready for your use. Like the inside, the outdoor decks/living areas went far beyond our expectations, and we thoroughly enjoyed our time in the hammocks, glider and chairs, and meals and games at the outdoor tables. The views from all the decks of St. John and the BVIs were breathtaking day and night. The binoculars were a fabulous treat. The decks, like the inside, were so very well appointed and decorated, and we truly enjoyed all the small touches throughout the many decks. The kids loved the pool, and we adults appreciated the ample covered decking to enjoy the outside while taking a break from the sun. The outdoor shower was a hit, the boys and dads especially loved this. Thank you for a truly exceptional stay at your villa. Your graciousness and sharing of your exceptional property have left us all with a trip of a lifetime.

“Beyond Expectations” I would not stay anywhere else on the island. The house itself is in immaculate condition with huge sliding glass doors in every room allowing for amazing views of the Caribbean from every room. I loved waking up to the breathtaking sunrise every morning and the house's beautiful décor encourages complete relaxation. Whether watching TV, playing Xbox/Playstation or listening to music via the surround sound system, it felt like our every whim was met. The kitchen is stocked with gourmet appliances and cookware which made my ability to create fantastic meals for us easy and fun. When we tired of laying by the pool, the beach was less than a mile away and the Red Hook night life was right down the street. This villa is truly one of the premier locations on the island. I cannot wait for the next trip back

“Wonderful island retreat with views!” This was our fourth trip to St. Thomas, and we are so glad that we found Max and Chris. Not only did we feel connected to all the activities in Red Hook, we also had a sense of privacy - being 350 feet up the mountainside. This also afforded us fantastic panoramic views of St. Thomas, St. John, St. Croix on the horizon, and BVI as well. The cottage is beautifully appointed, and Chris has made beautiful mahogany finishes and furniture - including the tables and queen-sized bed. Max and Chris are gracious hosts who are as visible (or invisible) as you need. We also spent a magnificent day sailing with Max as well. We've had great success in finding places to stay in St. Thomas, but this is clearly our favorite! We'll be back soon.

Coral Bay cottage

“Self-contained, off-the-grid mountaintop luxury with a view” Anyone who thinks living off the grid requires sacrifice of comfort clearly hasn't stayed here. Your water is provided by the rain. Your electricity is provided by the sun. A huge deck, cushy living spaces with beds in open air... windows? There aren't any. Shower? Outside. Yes, the toilets flush. And the view is a never-ending masterpiece of sea and sky. Complete privacy here on the mountain top. No neighbors.. except for an occasional island donkey. If you like quiet, romantic places, this is it. The stairs up are steep so if you can't climb, don't come here. But if you can climb stairs, you need to try this place, one of the cheapest luxuries on St. John. and one of the most powerful boosts for the soul one can imagine.
