“Villa Beach Cliff - an out of this world experience” We had visited with Rick and Karen a year prior to our rental. We knew then what a perfect place it would be for our group consisting of four couples. To be able to provide each couple with their own en suite accommodation in a house that offered so many great places to hang out is perfect. We have grown to love Grenada as a destination and Villa Beach is a great location on the island. As owners you won't find more caring people. The house was in great working order and they were available by phone at any point we needed them. We will return.

Moonfish Villas - Beachcomber Villa, Waterfront, Pool!

Saint Patrick Parish villa

  • 2 bedrooms
  • 2 bathrooms
  • sleeps 4

“Fantastic, relaxing getaway” In November, my wife and I along with two other friends spent a fantastic week in Grenada at the Moonfish Villas. The villas are simple, but elegant and very spacious. The bedrooms are downstairs, while the kitchen and the living room are upstairs. The true "living room" however is the patio on the second floor with postcard worthy views of the ocean and the Bathway beach. It is a treat throughout the day. There is also a beautiful patio on the first floor, accessed through french doors from the bedrooms. I really enjoyed rolling off the bed onto the patio to watch the sunrise laying down on the hammock. Bathway is somewhat far from the more touristic southwest part of the island, so do not expect a bustling neighborhood. There are no grocery stores walking distance. There is a superb restaurant called aggie's a few minutes walk from the villas. Otherwise, we cooked a few meals at home or drove towards Sauteurs where there are quite a few good restaurants. Bathway beach is beautiful but it is safe to swim only from a small portion of it. This area is a 2 minute walk on the beach from the villas and are essentially tidal pools on the shore. They are great for relaxing and short swim, but probably not ideal for someone looking for extended swimming. Likewise, the dipping pool in front of the villas is a great way to relax while sipping a few drinks and enjoying the spectacular views. And finally our host Kitty, who made our stay memorable. She was incredibly accommodating and helpful and made us feel at home. We sent her a list of provision before our arrival and she stocked up our fridge. She helped us getting our rental car, gave us great recommendations and was there for all our needs. We cannot say enough about her. All in all, I would recommend Moonfish villas to any one looking to truly get away from the crowds and relax. We really enjoyed our time.

“Carriacou Treasure” Beautiful flowing villa with spectacular views! You will feel very welcome when you walk through the door with all the personal artistic touches & the love that has been put in to the villa! Kitchen had all the tools you needed for cooking & also a few staples which came in handy & a delight to cooking with the sea view right in front of you. Beds were comfortable, bathrooms had everything you needed. Godfrey was a pleasure with so much helpful advice & always there when needed. Loved that it was a short walk to the beach that had 4 bar and grills. Our favourite was the Hard Wood Mama Joy & her family were very friendly! If you are an avid TV watcher you may be disappointed with the small TV but we spend 7 day & did not watch the TV once ..Who needs it with the stunning views!!

“Amazing views, wonderful hospitality, perfect escape!” We stayed here for 10 nights and from the moment we were picked up at the airport to when we left we were very well looked after. This was our first time to Grenada and also our first in the Caribbean. If you you want to explore the island it is important to have a car. There are local beaches which are 5 min walk, however if you want to go to Grand anse beach you will need a car. Our housekeeper Bernadette was wonderful. She took us to the local fish market and helped us buy amazing fresh fish, she also helped us buy some fruit and veg at the local food market. Even though we did not ask she also did our laundry and kept the place immaculate. Although there were only two of us, the house can easily accommodate 6. The kitchen was very well equipped, our only advice is to bring your dry goods, such as cereal, pasta, coffee, tea, pasta sauce as these these things are very expensive on the island. Fruit and vegetables can be bought from roadside stands. Some of our local (walking distance) recommendations are Prickly Bay Marina where there is a great pub with nightly specials and strong drinks. We also recommend going to the Mt. Hartman Estate hotel just up the road for a drink or a meal, the hotel is built into the side of the hill and has amazing views and very friendly staff. We also recommend walking down to Prickly Bay beach and walking down to the Calabash hotel and having drinks beach side. There is also amazing snorkelling right off the rocks. We had an amazing time, the local people are so friendly and willing to help if you get lost. All in all we loved it. The booking process was smooth and efficient. Nick and anna were wonderful and stayed in regular contact and provided lots of pre-holiday advice, Anna was the perfect island host once we landed and deserves a special mention.

“Peace and quiet and away from it all.” Screened with well=equipped kitchen and two comfortable double beds withh private baths. Big deck with great views of the sea and islands, not to mention sunsets. Private but with neighbors nearby. Two quiet beaches nearby, but requiring many steps. “Beautiful stay at La Pagerie” We are four friends from Kiev in Ukraine, and we decide to spend our vacation in Caribbean that year. We wanted a villa right on beach, and found La Pagerie. Wonderful! Lot of sun actually, showers not so much in spite rainy season. The view is marvelous, the bay, islands away, the sea. Wonderfull snorkeling very close to the shore, I saw lobsters! Very gentle people in charge of estate right above, always available to help. Parrots around too! So nice...

About Grenada

Grenada, made up of Grenada Island, St. George and Carriacou, is a tropical vacation paradise in the heart of the Caribbean. Visitors come here from all over the world to experience Caribbean culture and natural wonders, and to find a serene beachside escape from the bustle of everyday life.

No matter how long you plan to stay in Granada, you'll never run out of things to do and see here. Hike the winding trails to breathtaking vistas in the green mountains of Grand Etang National Park. Visit Fort Frederick, the colorful market square, and the historic Methodist church in St. George.

Learn more about Grenada's fascinating biodiversity and natural history by visiting the La Sagesse Nature center or taking a guided eco-tour along the varied coastline. Explore the famous cricket venues here and learn about the influence of this British sport on the culture of the West Indies.

When the sun goes down after a day of adventures, sample the unique flavors of Caribbean cuisine at world class local restaurants and hear live music at the welcoming energetic nightspots around St. George, Carriacou, and the South Coast.

Here are a few additional suggestions as you plan your trip:

  • Explore the beaches: relax on the white sand and brilliant blue water of Grand Anse Beach, or explore the rocky, secluded natural beauty and coral sands of Bathways Beach in Levera National Park.
  • Visit the Grenada Chocolate Company: Take a tour of the chocolate factory in St. George and learn more about the growing and processing of chocolate, a traditional export of the West Indies.
  • Go scuba diving: Take a guided trip to some of the spectacular coral reefs and underwater destinations around Grenada. Lessons and excursions are available for divers of all skill levels.
  • Hike to inspiring destinations: See Concord Falls, a beautiful sixty-five foot waterfall. Or explore the ancient crater and rainforest around Grand Etang Lake in Grand Etang National Park.
  • Visit the Carriacou Museum: Established in an old cotton ginnery, this museum offers fascinating exhibits documenting the history of the island.
  • Explore the Dougaldston Estate: Take a tour of Grenada's oldest, largest and still operating nutmeg plantation. The estate is part farm and part museum and an excellent representation of Grenada's agricultural history.

You'll find plenty of things to do in Grenada and you'll also have no trouble finding a perfect place to stay. Vacation rental opportunities are available all year long here, and you can easily rent an apartment or condo close to your desired destination points. Rent a cabin in the mountains near the national parks, or find an elegant beach villa with beautiful views of the ocean.

Crochu Bay Studio at Two Bays Beach Villa
Rustic, quiet and "native" accommodations

Two Bays is quite a distance (about an hour) from the airport and NOT to be attempted after dark! For those not accustomed to right hand drive cars, or driving on the left side of the road, your additional challenges are the absence of road signs and the continuous narrow, hairpin turns. Once you arrive, however, it is a delightful and eclectic retreat with a mix of simple basics, native surprises and a touch of French cuisine. Alexander was in charge of the accommodations- a kind, quiet man with a heavy German accent. He gave us our key and explained how to turn on the propane for cooking, where switches were (warning- plugs are European but they did have an adapter for US items) and how to slide the louvered doors. The kitchenette was fully stocked with blender, coffee maker, toaster (all European plugs), dishes, pots and pans & flatware. You must stop at a grocery for your food, drinks, paper towels, shampoo & sun block. The room pictured, looking out on the bay was our room #15 (no numbers on the door)- best view! The netting must be heavily sprayed with bug spray before bed. I never saw mosquitos, but have dozens of itchy bites on my legs!! Right next to the units was the infinity pool and sunning area. Delightfully warm and clean. It is a short walk from the "Two Bays" units down to the bar/restaurant area, the caged animal collection (parrots, turtles, iguanas, monkeys...) and then more steps down to the beach. The beach was usually vacant, had lovely shade under the palms, and lounge chairs available. The dining/bar area is run by Bruno and Iris who will do everything they can to please you with their delicious menus. I enjoyed their "three course meal" for dinner on 4 separate nights and had such items as calalloo and goat cheese quiche, parrot fish, bread fruit, ochre and creme' brulee. I highly recommend the pina coladas. Meals were about $30 US. We took a tour of the island with Iris, a driver and another couple. A very bumpy but entertaining 8 hours with stops at a fish market, abandoned airplanes, nutmeg factory, chocolate plantation, quirky lunch spot, waterfalls (complete with a cliff diver!!) and plenty of photo opportunities. While we were there, poor Bruno was suffering with kidney stones but Iris carried on, single handedly managing everything with grace and experience. This is not a place for those that would be offended by goat poop on the path or noisy crickets at dinner, but is more for those who want a natural adventure in an adequate, relaxing and naturally beautiful surrounding. Yes, there is Wifi, but no tv and you don't really want to keep those lights on at night to read if it will draw the mosquitos! We swam after dark, or stayed down at dinner with drinks and then were asleep by 9! If you snorkel or scuba, my sister says you will REALLY love Grenada for that sport, but perhaps you might spend your time in the southwest corner or western side of the island.see more
Comfort Stay: Live Like A Local
My experience living like a local.

My comfort stay holiday was an experience that I will never forget. It was exactly what I was looking for. I was able to relax when I wanted and enjoy the carnival experience. Clema was a lovely hostess who was very helpful, she welcomed me like family. She did her best to make me feel comfortable but was also there to talk to if needs be. I would like to say thanks again Clema for making my stay amazing. I will be back to visit you see more
Mapoo Hill Villa, Windward, Carriacou, Grenada
What a view!

We definitely enjoyed our stay here. Being in Windward , there is always a breeze on the hottest days. The breeze also kept away any flying insects as well. We loved sitting or lying on the hammock on the porch. The house was spotless! There are steps up to the main level but it is worth the view. Our host was very interested in making our stay comfortable. Plenty of information for the island was made available and phone numbers left in case we needed any assistance, We would stay here again.see more
Honey Hill Villa at Anse la Roche, Carriacou
Gorgeous house with outstanding views.

From the moment we arrived at Honey Hill,we knew we had found a very special place. Two lovely ladies were there to welcome us and show us around. The house was so comfortable, more like being at home rather than a rental property. The kitchen was extremely well equipped and the washing machine a bonus. The view down the coast was breathtaking both day and night...we could hardly drag ourselves away to go exploring! Anse La Roche beach is about 20 minutes walk away through the National Park...it was usually deserted and the swimming and snorkeling were fabulous in the calm water. For exploring further afield,we would recommend a rental jeep. The owners were extremely helpful and patient with our pre booking enquiries and the property manager can help with a start up pack of groceries, ready prepared meals, car rentals etc . We would highly recommend Honey Hill...it is great value and very well run, making visiting Carriacou a Delight!see more
