Saint Philips house

2 bedrooms / 1 bathroom / sleeps 5

“Awesome” It's not often that one finds a place to call home and Cupid's Home is a home away from home. It was a vacation like I've never experience before. Everything was spotless. The condo was very self-contained to all my needs, and Mr. Cupid was most pleasant and accommodating. I also enjoyed the bonus of the vehicle he offers with the package, meaning no transportation issues, and the location was approximately 7mins away from any point of interest I wished to visit. I highly recommend staying at Cupid's Home, for an enjoyable and most relaxing vacation.

Bolans cottage

“gorgeous hillside guesthouse, interesting & thoughtful hosts” Karol and Merv Stewart make this a special place, from the lovely guesthouse to helping with tours & advice. I don't mind the flowers, lizards & hummingbirds, and dview of Montserrat either. One morning Merv walked through the yard picking limes, mangos and soursop for me. It's about 4/10 of a mile to the main road, where you can catch a bus every few minutes to the supermarket, casino, marina etc. in Jolly Harbour-- or just walk a mile to get there. 4 beaches within a mile and a half, with restaurants at a couple of the beaches. If you like birds, they got plenty at the salt pond just landward of Darkwood beach.

Beachside One Bedroom Apartment - Agave Landings

Saint Mary Parish apartment

1 bedroom / 1 bathroom / sleeps 3

“Best vacation !” We have returned yesterday from one of the best vacation we had up now, a two weeks spent in Antigua, at Agave Landings residence. We enjoyed very much our staying here because of the beautiful landscapes and friendlily people and of course, the fantastic Caribbean Sea. Same time we appreciated very much the hospitality and availability of our hosts : Paul and Rosemarie Kelly who offered us a peaceful and clean apartment with a sea view just across the beach. The home is completely loaded with all the necessary items you might need and if there is something more you want, you can ask Paul and he'll always find a way to solve your problem! We liked the location because it was close to Jolly Beach/Harbor and also close to some very nice restaurants (Denis's and Carlmichael from Sugar Ridge). We highly appreciated the discretion and pleasant behavior of all the inhabitants of Agave Landings and especially of our hosts - whom I want to thank again for everytrhing. I warmly recommend Agave Landings as vacation home to anyone who desires to spend a pleasant and peaceful holiday!

Yepton Estate Cottages - 1-Bedroom Cottages

St. John's house

1 bedroom / 1 bathroom / sleeps 2

“Excellent accomdation with superb hosts - just what we were look” This accommodation was excellent and just what we were looking for. We had researched many of the larger hotel resort type complexes on lots of different Islands across the Caribbean but preferred something more personal and less crowded and that exactly what we got with Gabby and Douglas at Yepton Cottages. Our cottage was very comfortable with a nice kitchen and living room area and an excellent veranda overlooking the lake. You could hear the sound of the sea from here and see the palm trees that indicated the back of the beach (less than a 5 minute walk away). This was an excellent place to start the day with breakfast outside. The only downside to the accommodation was the mosquitoes that would gather by the lights on our veranda once the sun went down. Obviously a certain level of mosquitoes is to be expected in the Caribbean but I think being by the lake made this worse at night. Gabby and Douglas were the perfect hosts - very helpful and incredibly welcoming. For instance on our first day in antigua Douglas spent a long time giving us some excellent advice on where to visit and what to see. And then Gabby drove us into town so we could do our food shopping for the week and even gave us the free use of a mobile phone for week. This sort of personalised treatment made us feel more like one of the family than a paying guest. Overall, I would definitely recommend Yepton Cottages, especially if you're looking for a holiday in the Caribbean without having to go down the all-inclusive, package holiday type experience. The accommodation is very comfortable, clean, reasonably priced and with excellent hosts. We had a great week and were very sad to leave!

Shell Villa - 5 Bedroom Luxurious Oceanfront Villa overlooking Montserrat

Falmouth villa

5 bedrooms / 5 bathrooms / sleeps 10

“A piece of paradise.” I have now stayed in Shell Villa on three occasions within the last two years simply because as soon as I come home, I miss it and want to return. Shell Villa is perfectly situated on the Falmouth side of the island and the house itself is totally private and not overlooked by any neighbours, therefore it offers peaceful tranquillity. The views from Shell Villa are simply spectacular; you can lye in the pool by day watching the banana quits and birds of prey flying overhead and then relax on the decking with a rum in hand to watch the sun setting over Monserrat island in the evening. There are all of the modern conveniences that you would expect in a villa of this quality: en-suite bathrooms for every bedroom, a beautifully maintained garden and pool (and fantastic cleaner, Daphne who will ensure you have everything you could possibly need), cooking equipment etc. but the thing that makes Shell Villa a place you want to keep coming back to is the added extras which make it more like a home away from home; something you just don't get in hotels and most rental properties. For example, the house has its own library where guests can borrow books during their stay. There is fabulous artwork around the vlla and the kitchen is equipped with every possible thing you could require including cookbooks and recipes from around the island so it is great for those who enjoy experimenting with local food. From the villa, one can walk to local beaches, snorkel off the rocks (I have yet to find better snorkelling in another part of the island) as well as being well situated for the bars and restaurants at Falmouth Harbour, just a 10 minute drive or taxi away. Antigua is an amazing island with beautiful beaches, rainforest-like landscape, wonderful food and lovely people. Shell Villa really is a small piece of paradise nestled within this natural beauty and I would recommend anyone to stay here.

About Antigua and Barbuda

Antigua and Barbuda

Found at the point where the Caribbean Sea meets the Atlantic Ocean, these two islands are stunning vacation destinations.

From the beautiful sandy beaches to the cultural and historical hotspots of the picturesque island group, Antigua and Barbuda is the place for a dream vacation. Choose from the thousands of rental homes available on FlipKey, from beach cabins to private estates, and enjoy a tropical escape you’ll never forget.

About Antigua and Barbuda

A getaway in Antigua and Barbuda offers the perfect combination of crystal blue waters, historic forts and colorful villages.

It first became established as a hideaway for the British Royal Navy in 1784, and you can still see elements of this history today. The English Harbour was the site of Nelson’s dockyard during Britain’s golden age of naval supremacy. Now, the islands have blossomed into a paradise for those seeking rest and relaxation.

Antigua and Barbuda boasts a tropical climate. December to March is when the weather is the coolest, but even then, it’s still very pleasant. It’s mostly dry all year round but there can be tropical storms and rain showers at times.

What to do in Antigua and Barbuda

The islands feature a wealth of pursuits for you to enjoy. Whether you’re searching for beach activities, nature or nightlife, you’ll find something to keep you occupied. Half Moon Bay offers snorkeling and bodysurfing, but there’s always time for sunbathing, too.

If you want to see the local wildlife, head to the Frigate Bird Sanctuary. See one of the world’s largest colonies of frigate birds. You can only visit the lagoon from Codrington jetty via sea taxi, so make sure you book in advance.

To explore the history of the islands, be sure to visit the national museum in St John’s, the capital of Antigua and Barbuda. You’ll discover all sorts of exhibits that tell you the story of the islands from the indigenous people to British colonial times.

The delicious cuisine on the islands is highly satisfying. Le Bistro offers tasty French dishes. From lobster to duck, the fine dining is impeccable and booking is essential. Alternatively, enjoy a seafood platter at Papa Zouk. Found in St. John’s, this culinary delight is an eclectic feast for the eyes.

Top travel tips for Antigua and Barbuda

If you‘re planning on visiting the islands, the best time to go is during off-peak season. From May to November, the islands boast hot weather and there is slightly less bustle. While there is a small chance of a hurricane, the weather is at its best and the beaches are far from overcrowded.

Whether you’re searching for white sandy beaches, tropical waters, or pretty scenery from the cover of a glossy travel magazine, Antigua and Barbuda is for you. Search FlipKey today to find your perfect vacation rental in one of the most scenic parts of the Caribbean.

Featuring incredible wildlife, epic beach sports and a paradise away from the stress of daily life, the islands are a spectacular destination to add to your passport.

2 Bedroom house with A/C close to beach & town
A sweet retreat near the beach, super market and main shopping area

This lovingly maintained guest home is a short drive to St. John, the super market and beach. It contains all the supplies one would need (dishes, utensils, towels, linens etc.). There are two bedrooms with excellent air conditioning, the bed is very comfortable. The living room has wi-fi and a small cable TV. The home is situated next to the owner and is gated. I cannot say enough about the owners, they make you feel like family, no request seems a bother. The grounds are beautiful with flowers and shrubs well maintained. I would recommend and stay here again.see more

Dickenson Bay Beach Condo
Beautiful

We are enjoying our stay on Dickenson Bay. It's very quiet. Lovely condo. Very clean & comfy. Juney has been very helpful. Love the water views from our balcony. So glad we found this place. Will keep this place in mind for a return trip. So glad to be south of Sandals Resort. Too many people up that end of the beach, but no problem as Sandals offers a great deal of entertainment in people watching. Like the closeness to St. John's. Antigua offers some many fun & interesting activities & sights to see that can't be appreciated in just 2 wks. We are enjoying our visit.see more

Luxury Waterfront Villa 431F
Almost Perfect

This villa is renovated beautifully! Everything was up to date, modern, and extremely clean. The owner was very friendly and easy to communicate with about any questions we had during our stay. The only downside was the property didn’t have a grill that forced to eat out more than planned. We will be repeat guests!see more
