“Awesome” It's not often that one finds a place to call home and Cupid's Home is a home away from home. It was a vacation like I've never experience before. Everything was spotless. The condo was very self-contained to all my needs, and Mr. Cupid was most pleasant and accommodating. I also enjoyed the bonus of the vehicle he offers with the package, meaning no transportation issues, and the location was approximately 7mins away from any point of interest I wished to visit. I highly recommend staying at Cupid's Home, for an enjoyable and most relaxing vacation.

“Breathtaking views!” Of all the places we have visited, this is one of our favorites by far. The Villas at Stoneyhill have the most amazing views from your balcony. The pictures don't do it justice. Super clean, private, and all the amenities you need. Great for a romantic get-away, or just for some much needed R&R.; Merve and Karol are the best hosts ever! We will definitely be back.

“Relaxing family holiday in a nature lovers location with wonderf” We chose a cottage in antigua as we wanted a place for ourselves & our 20 month old toddler. On arrival we were met at the airport by our hospitable host along with a child's car seat. It was additional extra touches such as this throughout our stay that made Doug & Gabby such good hosts. The self catering cottages had everything you needed & the large gas barbie on the veranda overlooking the lake made cooking a pleasure not a chore. We made friends with two tame finches who along with the pelicans, humming birds, egrets & cranes to name but a few kept the whole family entertained for hours. Our cottage overlooked a lake on the other side of which was the beach & sea accessible within a 5 minute walk. On the days our son didnt fancy the waves in the sea he had plenty of fun splasing in the shared pool by the villa. The island was small enough to cover within our 10 day stay by hire car so we were able to see all the major sites which Doug mapped out for us. All in all a wonderful time, highly recommended.

Shell Villa - 5 Bedroom Luxurious Oceanfront Villa overlooking Montserrat

Falmouth villa

  • 5 bedrooms
  • 5 bathrooms
  • sleeps 10

“A piece of paradise.” I have now stayed in Shell Villa on three occasions within the last two years simply because as soon as I come home, I miss it and want to return. Shell Villa is perfectly situated on the Falmouth side of the island and the house itself is totally private and not overlooked by any neighbours, therefore it offers peaceful tranquillity. The views from Shell Villa are simply spectacular; you can lye in the pool by day watching the banana quits and birds of prey flying overhead and then relax on the decking with a rum in hand to watch the sun setting over Monserrat island in the evening. There are all of the modern conveniences that you would expect in a villa of this quality: en-suite bathrooms for every bedroom, a beautifully maintained garden and pool (and fantastic cleaner, Daphne who will ensure you have everything you could possibly need), cooking equipment etc. but the thing that makes Shell Villa a place you want to keep coming back to is the added extras which make it more like a home away from home; something you just don't get in hotels and most rental properties. For example, the house has its own library where guests can borrow books during their stay. There is fabulous artwork around the vlla and the kitchen is equipped with every possible thing you could require including cookbooks and recipes from around the island so it is great for those who enjoy experimenting with local food. From the villa, one can walk to local beaches, snorkel off the rocks (I have yet to find better snorkelling in another part of the island) as well as being well situated for the bars and restaurants at Falmouth Harbour, just a 10 minute drive or taxi away. Antigua is an amazing island with beautiful beaches, rainforest-like landscape, wonderful food and lovely people. Shell Villa really is a small piece of paradise nestled within this natural beauty and I would recommend anyone to stay here.

“3 weeks in Paradise.” We have stayed in this wonderfull villa the last five years for shorter or longer time. We enjoyed to relax by the pool in the beautifull surroundings, take the boat out to one of the islands for a picnik, or to one of the resturants nearby. The Villa is tastefully decorated in antiguan style it is easy to feel at home and very comfetable. The garden is wonderfull and there is a little private beach where you can enjoy the morning swim. We enjoyed the evening on the terrace watching the boats anker up in the bay.

About Antigua and Barbuda

Antigua and Barbuda

Found at the point where the Caribbean Sea meets the Atlantic Ocean, these two islands are stunning vacation destinations.

From the beautiful sandy beaches to the cultural and historical hotspots of the picturesque island group, Antigua and Barbuda is the place for a dream vacation. Choose from the thousands of rental homes available on FlipKey, from beach cabins to private estates, and enjoy a tropical escape you’ll never forget.

About Antigua and Barbuda

A getaway in Antigua and Barbuda offers the perfect combination of crystal blue waters, historic forts and colorful villages.

It first became established as a hideaway for the British Royal Navy in 1784, and you can still see elements of this history today. The English Harbour was the site of Nelson’s dockyard during Britain’s golden age of naval supremacy. Now, the islands have blossomed into a paradise for those seeking rest and relaxation.

Antigua and Barbuda boasts a tropical climate. December to March is when the weather is the coolest, but even then, it’s still very pleasant. It’s mostly dry all year round but there can be tropical storms and rain showers at times.

What to do in Antigua and Barbuda

The islands feature a wealth of pursuits for you to enjoy. Whether you’re searching for beach activities, nature or nightlife, you’ll find something to keep you occupied. Half Moon Bay offers snorkeling and bodysurfing, but there’s always time for sunbathing, too.

If you want to see the local wildlife, head to the Frigate Bird Sanctuary. See one of the world’s largest colonies of frigate birds. You can only visit the lagoon from Codrington jetty via sea taxi, so make sure you book in advance.

To explore the history of the islands, be sure to visit the national museum in St John’s, the capital of Antigua and Barbuda. You’ll discover all sorts of exhibits that tell you the story of the islands from the indigenous people to British colonial times.

The delicious cuisine on the islands is highly satisfying. Le Bistro offers tasty French dishes. From lobster to duck, the fine dining is impeccable and booking is essential. Alternatively, enjoy a seafood platter at Papa Zouk. Found in St. John’s, this culinary delight is an eclectic feast for the eyes.

Top travel tips for Antigua and Barbuda

Travel to the islands via V.C Bird International Airport, close to St. John’s on Antigua. From here, you can easily travel to your hotel via bus, taxi or car. If you’re traveling to Barbuda, get a boat to the island.

The currency of the country is East Caribbean Dollars.

If you‘re planning on visiting the islands, the best time to go is during off-peak season. From May to November, the islands boast hot weather and there is slightly less bustle. While there is a small chance of a hurricane, the weather is at its best and the beaches are far from overcrowded.

Whether you’re searching for white sandy beaches, tropical waters, or pretty scenery from the cover of a glossy travel magazine, Antigua and Barbuda is for you. Search FlipKey today to find your perfect vacation rental in one of the most scenic parts of the Caribbean.

Featuring incredible wildlife, epic beach sports and a paradise away from the stress of daily life, the islands are a spectacular destination to add to your passport.

2 Bedroom house with A/C close to beach & town
A sweet retreat near the beach, super market and main shopping area

This lovingly maintained guest home is a short drive to St. John, the super market and beach. It contains all the supplies one would need (dishes, utensils, towels, linens etc.). There are two bedrooms with excellent air conditioning, the bed is very comfortable. The living room has wi-fi and a small cable TV. The home is situated next to the owner and is gated. I cannot say enough about the owners, they make you feel like family, no request seems a bother. The grounds are beautiful with flowers and shrubs well maintained. I would recommend and stay here again.see more

Good quiet area for a relaxing holiday

Kason is a brilliant host, he meets you at the airport and drops you back there for your return journey. If you needed to contact Kason he would respond quickly to your emails or phone calls. The house is in a quiet residential area, at the end of a cul-de-sac. The neighbours were pleasant, greeting us with a 'good morning ' / ' evening ' or a wave if we saw them. We really felt at home and were chilled out during our three week stay. Having the car and use of a cell phone was just perfect. Six Roads was just a short drive where you could get your supplies if you wanted to prepare your own meals. Oistins fish market is always worth a visit to pick up some fresh fish, or stay and eat at one of the many small local bar/grills next to the fish market. St.Philip is a lovely part of the island, with a car it is so easy to head out to the lovely beaches which are mostly deserted. Harrismith and Bottom Bay are only a few minutes drive away. The house is clean, roomy, has tiled floors throughout and the settee/loungers are so comfy. We could have happily stayed longer. Thank you Kason for a lovely stay in your Sunset House, yes we did see a few lovely sunsets sat out on the porch. We would love to return and stay in your house again.see more
Sea front villa in Nonsuch Bay; own beach & pool
Paradise

Our party have just come back from staying at this house and all seems like a dream ! The location is stunning - looking over the infinity pool to the sea beyond. the house is very well equipped - even down to a great coffee machine , TV , Wifi and massive of fridges ! The beds are very comfortable and the bathrooms modern. There are many different outdoor 'rooms' for sitting or dining (indoor lovely as well) We had a great deal of fun on the little beach, mucking round on boats and snorketlling too - right on the door step. Comfort in paradise - what more can anyone want. The only sad thing is that we had to leave !see more

A little slice of Paradise...

Where do I start?! I'm super glad i choose to travel to antigua & stay at Stoneyhill apt's. Both exceeded my expectations & dreams. Everything about my short 6 night stay was perfect & hassle free. So relaxing that 6 nights felt like 6 weeks! I was greeted at airport by Nat (local taxi driver organized by owner Karol) and driven door to door. The 3 private apartments have an idyllic and exclusive location set into the hillside overlooking the palm tree fringed Caribbean Sea. There are many local restaurant's, a massive supermarket and marina within a short drive or a 20-30 min walk of the apartments. There are also 3 absolutely stunning local beaches, again 5 min drive or 15/20 min walk away. White sand, crystal clear aqua waters and lovely palm tress. It really is picture postcard paradise! From the moment I arrived the owners Karol & Merv treated me like extended family or an old friend. They really give a warm welcome and nothing is too much trouble for them, driving me around. I was travelling alone and they really made me feel comfortable & safe. Karol makes wonderful Caribbean curry and Merv amazing cocktails! Both have lived on the island for a long time so they are full of wonderful tips for things to do and places to eat / drink etc. The apartments are spacious and very tastefully furnished. It felt like a 5* luxury apartment. Balcony is massive with your own hammock! The outdoor pool is cooling after the midday sun and is perfectly located, overlooking the ocean only a few steps away from the apt's and next to Merv's bar! Really enjoyed our late night discussions about island life and sampling local rum & fruits from the extensive & lush gardens. If you enjoy wildlife you will love the gardens. I highly recommend a trip to Cades Reef, snorkelling and your own mini speed boat for half a day. Go to the Sunday evening reggae night at Shirley Heights overlooking the amazing English Harbour. I will stay at Stoneyhill apt's if I return to antigua!see more

Absolutely Amazing

Michael is the ideal Owner. He was very sweet in the months and weeks before my trip. He is prompt to respond to all inquiries and has great suggestions. He made sure to have everything that I needed upon arrival. He even arranged for my golf cart rental to be at the villa when I arrived. He is very kind and checks in from time to time without being overbearing. I loved my renting experience with Michael.see more
