Caribbean Style Cottage with Magnificent Views : Belair Garden Cottage Carriacou

Carriacou Island cottage

1 bedroom / 1 bathroom / sleeps 4

“WOW!!! What a great experience” Becca and Michael's cottage is a dream vacation. With tropical gardens, wonderful hosts and a beautiful island - who could want more? Becca was extremely helpful in helping us to plan our jaunts around the island and to suggest places to shop and visit. The cottage was clean and comfortable with the highlights being the quiet and seclusion, beautiful views, iquana visiting in the tree and the outside shower. Cariacou is a beautiful island with friendly and helpful residents. I felt very safe hiking the many trails and roadways. There was easy bus access to anywhere on the island. The costs are reasonable and the food is excellent!!! I will definitely be back!!!

Las Tortugas Seafront Villa on Paradise Beach, Carriacou, Grenada, Grenadines

Carriacou Island villa

3 bedrooms / 4 bathrooms / sleeps 6

“Carriacou Treasure” Beautiful flowing villa with spectacular views! You will feel very welcome when you walk through the door with all the personal artistic touches & the love that has been put in to the villa! Kitchen had all the tools you needed for cooking & also a few staples which came in handy & a delight to cooking with the sea view right in front of you. Beds were comfortable, bathrooms had everything you needed. Godfrey was a pleasure with so much helpful advice & always there when needed. Loved that it was a short walk to the beach that had 4 bar and grills. Our favourite was the Hard Wood Mama Joy & her family were very friendly! If you are an avid TV watcher you may be disappointed with the small TV but we spend 7 day & did not watch the TV once ..Who needs it with the stunning views!!

Palm Trees Beach House, Carriacou near Grenada

Carriacou Island house

2 bedrooms / 2 bathrooms / sleeps 5

“Utter peace and beauty.” Lovely views. Just step down the hill to a gorgeous quiet beach - we were usually the only people on it. The house, on a private road, has a nice porch with a lovely view including sunsets. The house is well appointed with comfortable beds, kitchen. baths. etc. We rented it from Diane and Dave for at least 10 vacations. It was the highlight of my year. We only stopped because of a conflict in availability.

La Pagerie in Carriacou

Carriacou Island villa

5 bedrooms / 4 bathrooms / sleeps 10

“La Pagerie is truly as advertised and we liked that!” We loved our stay there. La Pagerie is as advertised, the villa is so exclusive, so deliberately exotic, back to past elegance and refinement. Bedrooms are incredibly large. The verandahs and decks, the social pool, the gardens are a continued invitation to relax and rest... The sea is right there, quiet and warm. The coral reef is only feet away! Thanks Paulus.

Honey Hill Villa at Anse la Roche, Carriacou

Carriacou Island villa

2 bedrooms / 2 bathrooms / sleeps 4

“A piece of paradise” There a not many places in the world that would keep me coming back for more but this is one. The island Carriacou is a hidden jewel in the Caribbean with some of the most beautiful and deserted beaches anywhere. The people and atmosphere is welcoming without the fake tourist chinz. This is a place I have and do recommend to anyone who wants something unique. The same can be said for Honey Hill. First time I saw it was rounding the corner on the road up to Anse La Roche and it's gleaming white facade in the sunlight, nestled in the deep green, was inviting me in. Once inside.....aas you open the doors to the terrace in front of you the view with Hillsborough bay and re island before you is stunning. I challenge anyone to sit with a rum watching the sunset from this villa terrace and not want to stay forever. The villa itself is very nicely set up. Lovely rooms have good storage space, and very comfortable beds. Air conditioning helps but to honest if you set the louvers the evening breeze means you don't really need the A. The bathrooms are clean and well appointed with good showers. The outside shower is a great addition for getting rid of the sand from a beach trip. The kitchen is well kitted out and the range is one of those nice big US ones. Downstairs there is also a ping pong table just out of reach of your own lime tree...perfect for refreshing my mojito! !!! All in all it is a great place to stay and enjoy a fabulos island....and the WiFi is good too.... Within walking distance was the Roundhouse, an excellent restaurant, and with a menu that keeps you interest each visit. In Hillsborough is La Moringa, a French inspired restaurant with a very good menu which has truly first class dishes. For those self catering most things are available on the island with a little patience, but the one must visit gem is Patty's Deli, an aladdin'sso cave of food heaven....The mince pies are to die for....to be honest most thing there are..... Honey Hill is the perfect hideaway from which to explore and indulge yourself in restfull bliss. We has a fabulous holiday and are already planning our return..

Lime House Cottage

Spring Bay cottage

2 bedrooms / 2 bathrooms / sleeps 4

“Wonderful place to vist and return” I am writing this review about Limehouse, in the Spring area of the beautiful island of Bequia. Bequia is one of the Grenadines, in the country of St. Vincent and the Grenadines. I have been traveling to Bequia with my family for more than 20 years, having visited over 15 times during these years. We love the island, for it is truly a paradise that has not been spoiled by overzealous developers or franchise businesses. It is truly a 'real' and homey place, with people who are friendly and open to visitors. We are particularly enamored with Limehouse, and have stayed there with our two children the last eight or more times we have been on the island. The accommodations are simply wonderful. Limehouse is on a ridge above the ocean where the views are spectacular! The cottage and studio are both extremely attractive, very clean, and are beside one of the prettiest pools and barbeque areas you will find anywhere. We typically stay in the Cottage, a two bedroom, two bath house with just the right amount of space, a beautiful porch area, and fantastic landscaping. The owners, Josephine and allan Gabriel, have become wonderful friends to this family, and our children, now 15 and 21 years of age, truly look forward to visiting because of their love and respect for the Gabriels. Our daughter is certain that she will get married on Bequia and stay at Limehouse (needs to meet a guy first!), and my wife and I plan to visit every winter for a month as soon as we can slow down from dual careers. My only concern in writing a truthful review of Limehouse is that it might mean we have a harder time booking, but that is a chance I am willing to take in order to accurately communicate the wonders of this place.

Las Tortugas Seafront Villa on Paradise Beach, Carriacou, Grenada, Grenadines
Spectacular Views

My family stayed at Las Tortugas last July. After a somewhat rough crossing from Grenada, we arrived to the beautiful blue waters of Carriacou. A short ride the the villa and the first impression is that this is private but quite inviting. The layout of the villa suits 1 or 2 couples, a family with kids or 2 families with kids. Very well kept with all the amenities that you would want. but the "piece de resistance" is the VIEWS. Weather you are on the sprawling balcony or in the infinity pool, you are looking at the most amazing views of the Caribbean - enthralling, enhancing, therapeutic and simply beautiful. Could have been quite content to not leave the villa but the beach below is also amazing - clear and warm.see more
Mapoo Hill Villa, Windward, Carriacou, Grenada
What a view!

We definitely enjoyed our stay here. Being in Windward , there is always a breeze on the hottest days. The breeze also kept away any flying insects as well. We loved sitting or lying on the hammock on the porch. The house was spotless! There are steps up to the main level but it is worth the view. Our host was very interested in making our stay comfortable. Plenty of information for the island was made available and phone numbers left in case we needed any assistance, We would stay here again.see more
Palm Trees Beach House, Carriacou near Grenada
Can't Wait to Come Back

We agree with all the previous reviews! Palm Trees is truly a very special place. We too are hesitant to recommend it for fear of it not being available when we wish to return! If you want that old world Caribbean feel, then the island of Carriacou is the place for you and Palm Trees, located on the old Craigston Lime Plantation is the place to stay. The views are incredible and the house has everything you need. Although there is no AC, there are many fans and being up high means the breeze can easily blow through. The big veranda with large overhang roof is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the view. It is not a place for you if you have difficulty with stairs; there are stairs up to the house, and stairs down to the beach. Also, really young children would need to be careful on the balcony. What makes this place so special is the fact that everything is so open, you feel as if you're in a tree house looking out on a postcard. Make sure you read the house copy of Diana's father's memoirs, "Up Before Dawn". Not only Is it an incredible story of her father's life but also, a wonderful insight into the history and people of the island. Thank you for sharing your home with us Diana.see more
Caribbean Style Cottage with Magnificent Views : Belair Garden Cottage Carriacou
perfect caribbean retreat

We enjoyed our first stay at Belair Garden Cottage in March/April 2015 and it definitely won't be our last. We have been traveling to Grenada and Carriacou for many years and have finally found our perfect vacation hideaway, it exceeded our expectations in every way. The cottage is lovely and has everything a guest might need, our favorite things were the gorgeous tropical gardens, the amazing outdoor shower, the cool sea breeze and, most of all, the deck overlooking a view of the Grenadines that simply must be experienced to be believed. As much as we enjoyed heading out on our daily excursions (more on that later), we couldn't wait to return to the cottage and simply hang out on the deck. Coffee, cocktails, reading...all on the deck, all the time. Plus, if you're out there you may be visited by Antonio and Harry, the semi-wild macaws that live on the island and sometimes stop by for snacks if they see you outside. It was really special to see these magnificent birds living in the wild. Becca and Michael were perfect hosts, their delicious homemade lunches and baked goods were such a treat, and they are available for anything you need. Carriacou is a relatively small island which makes it very easy to get around. We did not rent a car (maybe next year...) and got around fine by walking and hopping on buses. Walking to our destinations (Hillsborough, Anse la Roche, etc.) was easy since it was all downhill, we would then take a bus home to avoid the climb back up. Or we would walk partway and then grab a bus to places like Windward or Paradise Beach. For a first-time visitor to the island a car would probably be easier and more convenient, although riding buses with the locals is really fun. If you're looking for a beautiful, private cottage with the best view in the Caribbean on a quiet, friendly island, you can do no better than this. We can't wait to return.see more
Honey Hill Villa at Anse la Roche, Carriacou
Gorgeous house with outstanding views.

From the moment we arrived at Honey Hill,we knew we had found a very special place. Two lovely ladies were there to welcome us and show us around. The house was so comfortable, more like being at home rather than a rental property. The kitchen was extremely well equipped and the washing machine a bonus. The view down the coast was breathtaking both day and night...we could hardly drag ourselves away to go exploring! Anse La Roche beach is about 20 minutes walk away through the National Park...it was usually deserted and the swimming and snorkeling were fabulous in the calm water. For exploring further afield,we would recommend a rental jeep. The owners were extremely helpful and patient with our pre booking enquiries and the property manager can help with a start up pack of groceries, ready prepared meals, car rentals etc . We would highly recommend Honey Hill...it is great value and very well run, making visiting Carriacou a Delight!see more
Yellow Bird Waterfront Cottage, Carriacou
Nourishment for the Soul

Our time at Yellow Bird was simply wonderful; we are already planning to return, hopefully next year! Each morning we awoke to doves gently cooing us from our slumber and were enveloped by beauty all around us. The warm, turquoise Caribbean Sea is right outside - literally steps away - and we snorkeled and swam each and every day. We also enjoyed just relaxing and reading on the immense wrap around deck (which by the way has a great covered section for those that seek shade). The deck also provided a completely unobstructed view of the most spectacular sunsets and amazing night sky possible. All this without even leaving the grounds! We did however venture out, enjoying a boat trip to snorkel and swim with turtles, hiking to remote beaches, and we even took a fabulous privately guided tour of Carriacou, learning all about the history of the island. Quite simply, Yellow Bird is the perfect place to feed your soul.see more
