Description
Quiet and cozy with morning sun on the ocean front balcony! If you are looking for the best ocean view on the island, up close and personal, and a quiet, peaceful setting, you have found it. In addition to year-round daily dolphin sightings, this year we have seen humpback whales, too, (December and January).
Renovated again in 2019, this top floor ocean-facing beach condo is suitable for a romantic getaway or for a small family beach vacation at an affordable rate. The best feature? A beautiful ocean view from a covered balcony to sit and watch the dolphins play.
This third floor (walk-up) at building 5 of Topsail Reef is a one bedroom air conditioned unit and includes a queen bed, mounted TV, bathroom with combo tub/shower, built in bunks for children or smaller people, and a well appointed kitchen, fridge with ice-maker, microwave, stove, coffee maker, toaster, blender, hot air corn popper, flatware, utensils, cookware suitable for simple meal preparation. The living room is equipped with a loveseat and chairs, 32" flat screen TV and DVD player. There is a small dinette with chairs, although if you are like us, you will prefer to dine on the balcony.
North Topsail Island is a quiet, family community with beautiful bluish green waters and uncrowded, unspoiled beaches, the perfect place for kicking back and enjoying nature. Enjoy nature walks that include open ocean on one side and marsh land with estuaries on the other. Though quietly tucked away from the beaten path, it's not far from shopping, dining, restaurants, a spa and a country club for those who want to play golf. Topsail is a sanctuary and boasts a turtle rehabilitation center in nearby Surf City. Wilmington is only 20 miles away for great sight seeing, restaurants, and shopping.
You only need to bring your own bed linens, towels and a bathing suit! There are coin operated laundry facilities on-site, as well as two grill areas, with tennis courts and basketball across the street.
**Please Note - recent beach erosion, there is limited beach for sunbathing DIRECTLY in front of the unit's sandbags DURING HIGH TIDE, however, beach is still very accessible with private access from building. A short walk allows beach time even during high tide, too. Guests have not reported this to be a problem for them.

Response from the owner I’m sorry to hear that the failed bedroom AC turned an otherwise great experience into a terrible one for you. But air conditioners do fail sometimes, no matter where you book, and I am glad you were not entirely without AC. I’m thankful that the large 12,000 btu unit worked great for you and that you otherwise enjoyed Topsail Beach. The AC in the bedroom was replaced as soon as was physically possible, and I worked very hard to make that happen. I do apologize that it was not soon enough to ensure a better stay for you.
