Description

AdriaticHome offers a comfortable three-bedroom vacation home surrounded by gardens directly on the Adriatic Sea. The 135-sq metre, two-and-a-half bath home sleeps six and is located directly on the sea in Tri Žala (three bays), three kilometers west of Korcula's old town.

From a quiet road, steps lead to the yellow stucco and stone home. One enters the main floor into the kitchen (remodeled and custom built in late 2018); facing the sea to the front are a living room and bedroom. Outside a 35-square metre terrace offers a panoramic view of the ocean and gardens.

Upstairs are another two bedrooms (one with single beds; the other with double bed) with parquet wood floors and a second full bathroom. The lower level is another large living room area with a small kitchen and toilet and another terrace in front. Private stairs from this level lead down gardens to a gazebo and then from there to the Adriatic. The final terrace before the sea also has an outdoor shower where you can rise off after your swim.

The waterfront here and across almost all of Korcula is rocky, but the crystal-clear water is easily entered from a small dock on the property. Traditional stone, flowers and plants decorate the property and extras include a large outdoor grill, a washing machine and many corners for relaxation.

The house is rented in its entirety and no one else will be there during your stay. Although a few islanders rent houses directly on the water, most subdivide the space inside.

Getting around

The house is in Tri Žala, a short drive from the old town and ferry port. Tri Žala is named after the three small bays visible down the coastline from the property. The area is very quiet and without commercial development, with just about a dozen houses directly on the water along this area of the coast. The nearest store is 1.8 kilometers away. Whether you arrive by plane or boat, it is very handy to have a car on Korcula. AdriaticHome is on the coast, three kilometers from town so you will want a car to get to the island's best restaurants which are often not in town, as well as to buy groceries and explore the island. One can rent cars in Dubrovnik, Split and in Korcula (prices may be cheaper in Dubrovnik and Split).
