Here in the deep South of Sri Lanka - a country just a bit smaller than Scotland - the new luxurious holiday villa “Lanka Beach Villa” can sleep up to 8 persons and is located in a palm grove directly at the beautiful 5 miles long fine sand...y turtle beach of Rekawa near the idyllic little town of Tangalle about 113 miles south of Colombo. So far, there are only a few simple bungalow resorts at this peaceful beach.

The South of Sri Lanka is still utterly pristine from tourism; to that effect the people welcome foreigners in a friendly and hearty way.

Especially nature has stayed original and undisturbed here.

Two of the most beautiful national parks in Sri Lanka – the Yala Nationalpark with the biggest leopard population on earth and the elephant nationalpark Udawalawe - are located at a short distance of your holiday villa.

You can enter the villa via a typically Sri Lankan courtyard with a fountain and then crossing through the big living room with stereo system and WLAN Internet you arrive at the roofed terrace with sea view.

The villa comes with four bed rooms with double beds and each one with en-suite bath room, two of the bedrooms in the ground floor, two in the first floor. Every room features skillfully crafted teak wood furniture, Persian carpets, mosquito nets and air-conditioning.

Every bedroom has access to a terrace and three of the four bedrooms feature sea view while one bedroom with an own furniture terrace has a lagoon view.

The big private pool ( 40 feet x 21 feet) with massage attachments, a nice sala and sun beds are located in the nice tropical garden ( 1,900 square yards) under old shade-giving palm trees directly on the fine sandy beach.

Every terrace features cosy furniture. The main terrace that opens out onto the sea comes with a lounge sofa set near the koi pond and the big dining corner where family and friends meet to dine together.

This villa comes with staff (cook and cleaner) who not only will take care of your personal needs but who also can arrange trips etc.

Food will be cooked by the staff in a separate kitchen which is located in a staff area with an own entrance, so that the staff only has to enter your private area and the house to serve the food and to clean the rooms. So you will never be disturbed.

The whole area is fenced and has 24 hours security.

So much to do, so much to see:

Take a cruise on the lagoon of Kahandamodara, in the bird sanctuary Bundala or on the river Walawe and observe many birds, monkey hordes, with a bit of luck crocodiles and monitor lizards.

On order, you can take a fishing trip in a motorized fishing boat together with a local fisher man – directly from the beach.

Dwell on a lotus pond while taking a walk to the village and observe a water buffalo herd taking a bath. Be excited about the monkey hordes in the tree top of a palm tree; watch a peacock family or the monitor lizards who like to visit our compost place. Tune in to the jaunty chirping of the parrot colony.

Take a trip for whale watching just off the coast or spend your evening in the turtle sanctuary watching those fascinating exotic creatures lay eggs.

Also be interested in the culture of Sri Lanka and for example visit one of the oldest temples in the country, the gorgeous Pahala Vihara Rock temple in Mulkirigala near Tangalle. Take this tour in one of the traditional motorized rickshaws.

A visit of the Hindu temple Wewurukannala near Dickwella is also worthwhile.

Take a trip to Galle where you can perambulate a beautiful historical fort attested to the colonial era of the Netherlands.

After a lunch in the time-honoured Rampart Hotel located directly near the fortress you can schedule a shopping trip which will lead you through the new district. On your way back you will have the possibility to climb the lighthouse in Dondra Heads.

Last but not least: On one’s own initiative you can take a tuk tuk taxi alongside the paddy fields to Tangalle.

Let the atmosphere and the hustle and bustle on the local farmer’s market bewitch you. Afterwards, stroll through the narrow alleys and buy a few souvenirs or enter a liquor shop to get a tasty bottle of white wine for your dinner in the evening.

  I and my family had an absolute great experience during our last trip to Sri Lanka.
  
  Thanks to the remarkable friendly contact of Mrs. Mörschel we decided to stay at her offered location.
  Mrs. Mörschel did not only reply quick and friendly but she also gave us recommendations customized to our special needs and wishes.
  A great service already before even starting holiday!
  
  The arrival was comfortable and did not cause any delays, nevertheless we did not organise the transfer by ourselves but let Mrs. Mörschel organise everything.
  
  The location itself is nicely located between a Laguna in the back and the sea in the front: more water around you might be impossible without having a boat =)
  Absolutely unforgettable is the beautiful sunset we may enjoy every single evening from the terrace.
  
  The staff speaks English and is helpful concerning any wishes we were asking for: the food is prepared freshly from natural products the cook buys at the local market. We enjoyed the offered menu plan, even including a dessert which is usually not offered in similar locations.
  
  The only real negative point for us was the fact we had to leave the house and this beautiful country once again. Nevertheless the complete family is already looking forward to spend another holiday at Mrs. Mörschel's beautiful house.

  Together with two other families we stayed in this beautiful villa in January 2013. The house has really nice funrniture, a big private swimming pool and is located directly on a nice, sandy beach.
  
  There are many sun beds in the palm garden and it is very peaceful there. Many wildlife around...
  We used to go to swim in the sea often and made nice walks along the beach each evening.
  
  The house has staff - a cook, a house boy and a gardener. All are very polite and have excellent manners. You will not see them during the day unless you need them, so you have a lot of privacy for yourself. The cook prepared excellent meals - Sri Lankan and Western style cuisine.
  
  We enjoyed the stay very much and we will recommend this villa to all our friends

  This luxury villa sits on a beautiful isolated beach. The build quality of the villa and furnishings are of the highest standards. Much attention has been paid to every detail of the Villa including the beautiful pool. The staff were exceptional and the food was excellent.

  My family and me stayed in Rekawa´s Lanka Beach Villa in December for 3 weeks. It was one of our best vacations ever !
  
  The villa really is a dream: directly on the beach, very well equipped rooms, stunning views from both balconies and terrace. Big private pool with massage nozzles. We also made good use of the calm palm tree garden with the hammocks and the sun beds.
  
  The food was really excellent: each day new dishes, new changing desserts and very friendly and discreet staff. The cook Mr. Ravi is a real artist !!
  
  So much to do and so much to see in the near vincinity.
  
  Love to come back again, maybe in 2014 !!

  8 jours au paradis!
  Dans un puit de verdure, une maison vaste, merveilleusement bien conçue et bien exposée, un jardin ombragé,
  Singes, buffles , varans geants, paons, perroquets et autres espèces exotiques aux pieds de la maison. De l'autre coté, en accès direct , la plage, rien que pour vous, ou presque.
  En tuk tuk, 20min de Tangalle, approvisionnemnt assuré... enfin, vous pouvez ausi déléguer à Ravi, l'artiste cuisinier des lieux.
  Un endroit privilegié, peu exploité, des sri lankais très accueillants, toujours bienveillants.

  Herrliche Tage in einer tollen Villa direkt am Strand

  Wir waren fĂĽr zwei Wochen Mitte Oktober zu Gast in der Lanka Beach Villa am Strand von Rekawa.
  Das Haus ist sehr schön eingerichtet, hat 4 Schlafzimmer mit Doppelbetten und Moskitonetzen, jedes Schlafzimmer hat ein eigenes Bad und alle Schlafzimmer haben eine Klimaanlage. Alle Möbel sind aus Teakholz und alles ist sehr leibevoll dekoriert und eingerichtet. Es gibt drei Terrassen, davon zwei zum Meer (nur ca. 50 m entfernt), alle Terrassen nett möbliert, einen großen Fischteich direkt im anschluss an die größte Terrasse.
  
  Im Garten ist ein groĂźer Pool mit MassagedĂĽsen, am Pool 8 Liegen mit auflagen.
  
  Der Koch Ravi kocht klasse srilankesische , aber auch europäische Gerichte. Wir haben uns jeden einzelnen Tag auf das Essen gefreut. Das Frühstück war reichhaltig mit Eiern, Toast, Früchten, frisch gepressten Säften u.s.w. Mittags gibt es eine Karte zum auswählen der Speisen, und abends das Hauptessen immer mit Dessert !
  
  Alles war sauber, das Personal unaufdringlich , nett und sehr hilfsbereit...
  
  Wir hatten mehrere ausflĂĽge in die Umgebung gemacht - Yala und Udawalawe National Park und einen Lagunentour. Alles leicht zu erreichen und sehr interessant.
  
  Das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis des Hauses ist wirklich unschlagbar !!
  
  Wir haben schon fĂĽr 2014 wieder gebucht !
