After a short walk along a narrow path away from the sounds of cars and motorbikes you will enter the magical, luxurious compound of Villa Semua Suka, which means "everybody likes'. Bungalow Jepun is in the same walled compound as Villa Semua Suka, and has one queen-size bedroom, and one large bathroom with both an outdoor and indoor shower and a bathtub. The outdoor veranda, swimming pool, gazebo and garden are all part of your living area.

It was completed last year to Western standards with a Balinese aesthetic, and was built on the lower level of a former rice field. It has a fish pond and small waterfall, its own garden, outdoor l...oungers, umbrella, a small veranda with a table and 2 chairs and another comfortable chair for relaxing.

Bungalow Jepun has a queen-size bed, air conditioning, a flat screen TV and DVD player, iPod player, refrigerator and small daybed, as well as wireless internet throughout the grounds. Your stay at VSS includes a gourmet breakfast featuring our own house-made bread and jams, fresh fruit, choice of eggs, pancakes, and local specialties, plus great Balinese coffee! You'll be well taken care of by our staff led by Made' Pia. . Made' can help with arrangements for day trips, rafting, downhill biking, cooking classes, et al.

The Bungalow is located on a quiet walking path about 200 meters from the main road and is in a small neighborhood where you will pass ex-pats, local Balinese and villas for tourists. You will not see or hear motorbikes or cars up here. Less than 5 minutes walk down the path is an excellent Yoga studio, 4 small, local restaurants and a large supermarket. A few more minutes walk you will find some wonderful massage spas.

You have, in Bungalow Jepun, the quiet of the village of Penestanan and the convenience of being just a 20 minute walk from the town of Ubud, where you can find many excellent restaurants, museums, galleries and shopping fun!

Set in the Ricefields just minutes from the main road on a small walking path. This ensures the quiet and serenity of our location. We are surrounded by a beautiful, lush garden, koi pond, gazebo for resting and relaxing and a full sized swimming pool.
Just a 15 minute walk from downtown Ubud, with its galleries, spas, shops, market, palaces and restaurants.

  Fabulous Stay at Bungalow Jepun in the Ricefields of Ubud

  The Bugalow Jepun is an absolute delight to stay in if you are ever visiting Ubud. The space is perfect for 2 and just sublime! It's a short walk from town. The bungalow was cleaned daily and it was nice to have aircon and a comfy bed. The decor exemplifies the art and culture of Bali and we were made to feel welcome by the smiling staff. We love the outdoor shower and bath. The pool was refreshing, the koi ponds and gardens are a pleasant place to relax and the caretaker Pia was a true treat! She made us breakfast to order daily and her homemade jams were delicious. We ate breakfast out once and couldn't wait to get back to have Pia's yummy breakfast again. We got recommendations for a wonderful, inexpensive spa also within a short walk along with many recommendations for the best restaurants in town which were all fantastically delicious. We also had Blue as our driver for the entire week who spoke great English and was gracious to take us wherever we asked. It was very convenient to have a safe in our bungalow along with hot and cold water and a fridge for some snacks. We will be returning to Ubud and will absolutely be requesting to stay at the Bungalow again. There is nothing we could say to make any improvements at all to our stay. It made Ubud and Bali even more exciting and attractive because the accommodations were just perfect. Thank you for making our first trip to Ubud so delightful. You have a very gracious staff who took care of all of our needs. We will return!

  perfect mother daughter retreat!

  My original plans changed and I ended up coming to bali with my daughter daisy. our time in Ubud at barbaras place was the absolute hi-light. We thought we were 2 princesses in our own little palace in the rice paddies! We spent 3 nights in the cottage and absolutely everything was perfect; the gorgeous decor, the comfortable bedding and furniture, the garden and surrounds a delight. And of course the breskfast! Pia is an absolute treasure, the best in Bali!
  We will never forget our blussful stay at bungalow Jepun.
