The property is the private vacation home of a German/Ghanaian/Japanese family who live in Frankfurt, Germany. We visit Ghana for a few weeks during the year, and we love to return to our lovely home each year. Especially because it is our home, it is very important to us that the property is used responsibly and kept in a very good condition. Further description below:Property Location:South Odokor Estates, is just 25 minutes from Kotoka Airport on the new N1 highway. Straightforward and easy drive. Easy access to Spintex, Airport residential area, Tesano, Cantonments, etc. The house is right opposite the SSNIT flats block 14/15. It is a 3 min drive to the Dansoman Roundabout where there are many shops, Bank and ATMs, Forex bureaus, filling station, pharmacies, etc.. 7 min drive to Mallam Junction/intersection connecting the area with the Airport area, Accra, and the Western region. Geographically, it is on the other side of Accra opposite to the Kotoka Airport, and a perfect location for accessing the highway to the Western Region, for those who plan to visit Cape Coast, Takoradi, Shama, to see the old European Slave Forts and Castles, etc. The location is also excellent for expatriates working in the Western Region for R&R.The; house is located in is a well established, developed, respectable residential area (Dansoman is Africa's largest estate), with paved road access, elevated location allowing lots of sea breeze and great view of McCarthy Hill. It is about 15-20 minutes drive to the beautiful Bojo beach or Kokrobite beach, etc. It is a very safe area, with easy access to shops, markets, pharmacy, petrol/Gas station, convenience stores, fast food, taxi rank, Churches, etc.Why stay in the old expatriate residential areas when you can have luxury, peace and tranquility, in a very pleasant and convenient location that is also near beautiful beaches. Away from the hustle and bustle of Accra or Osu, but still in a developed and respectable local residential area which attracts foreign visitors alike. Experience Ghana the way Ghanaians live.Type of Rental:The property is rented as a 'self-catering unit'. Therefore, the tenants are responsible for organizing/ cooking their own meals, room cleaning, laundry, etc. If maid service is required, this can be arranged at additional cost. Cooking and cleaning materials/equipment are provided in the unit for the occupiers to use. Manned security is provided in the evening/night from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning. Relax and take it easy, and see how Ghanaians go about life in a safe, comfortable, relaxing and very pleasant environment.
The house is opposite the Dansoman SSNIT flats, and near the Dansoman roundabout in Accra. It's a very local but lively and very safe residential area with easy access to transport - taxi, trotro, etc. Pharmacy, convenience stores, filling stations, etc., in walking distance. 15-20 minutes drive to beaches: Bojo Beach ((website: hidden)) and Kokrobite Beach. Good location for access to the Western region.

Additional manned security guard service during the day from 6 a.m. till 6 p.m. can be arranged at additional cost. Please enquire. In addition, please enquire about renting at least 4 weeks in advance of your trip (and book at least two weeks in advance of the start of your occupancy). For long stays, depending on length of stay, we may ask you to pay for utilities separately (mains electricity, gas, water), after the 2nd or 3rd month. We will adjust the rent to reflect this therefore please inform us of your plans/schedule. Vodafone basic Internet (Wifi) up to 30 gigabytes is included in monthly rent. However, telephone use (units) is not included in the rent and needs to be purchased by Guests directly from vendor (Vodafone Ghana) for the entire duration of your stay. Details/instructions for how to purchase units are provided in the Guest manual available in the property.
