Stylish and quiet apartment in one of Amsterdams nicest neighbourhoods within walking distance of all main central tourist attractions. Enjoy a village-like atmosphere right in the city center. A perfect and quiet retreat after a busy day of sightseeing. Public transport, supermarket, restaurants, bars, shops and (organic) market at walking distance.
The bright and sunny canal side apartment consists of a spacious living room, a bedroom with a luxurious king size bed (180 x 200 cm), a bathroom and a well equipped kitchenette with state-of-the-art DeLonghi whole-bean coffee machine. The sofa couch in the living room can easily be converted into a second bed for two persons (140 x 200 cm).
The apartment is lovely furnished and includes a high-spec smart TV with a full-host of channels, wireless Sennheiser headphones and high-speed wifi.
The neighborhood Western Isles (Westelijke Eilanden) is like a small village on the edge of the city centre. Fourhundred years ago it was Amsterdam’s first expansion. It’s a quiet neighborhood consisting of canals and reconverted warehouses. As Lonely Planet puts it: "The artistic and the creative soul of the city is concealed in the charming Western Islands. This small archipelago bathes in amazing quietness, only nudged from its slumber by bobbing houseboats and bikes rattling across the wooden bridges. Among the former grain, herring and tobacco warehouses, intrepid travellers will now find artists’ studios creating everything from film and music to painting and designer furniture".
The Haarlemmerplein with a supermarket and organic market on Wednesdays is only 150 meters away. The famous shopping street Haarlemmerdijk is a 200 meter walk, the cozy Jordaan with its bars and restaurants 500 meter, the Central Station is a 15 minute walk or short bus ride away. The Anne Frank House is 1,5 km and Dam Square 2 km away.
