Mangrove Inn is a villa just on the shoreline in the south of Cebu in the Philippines. This air-conditioned villa is fully furnished and offers all modern equipment for nowadays needs, like a television set with DVD-player, a microwave, WIFI and so on. Inside the house up to three excellent sleeping rooms are available for you and outside a magnificent, private infinity pool overlooks the gorgeous sea. The friendly staff that keeps the house is able to offer all kinds of assistance to make your stay even more pleasant. They are fully equipped to guide and book fishing-, biking- and hiking tours and when wished for, they will do your laundry, babysit, prepare meals and barbeques, meanwhile entertaining you with live music. All this 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. If you want total privacy on the other hand, nobody will bother you and this little paradise will be all yours and yours alone. The private pool is deep enough at the far end to follow diving courses, which the staff can arrange for you at your request. You will love the possibility of taking a refreshing dive in the morning or a romantic swim in the evening, enjoying the beautiful views all around. A convenient terrace, romantically surrounded by coconut trees, offers you the perfect spot to relax and sunbath any time of the day and is just a few steps away from the sea. The first meters into the sea are muddy, but after that the sea becomes very beautiful. The staff of Mangrove Inn always welcomes you with great pleasure.

Response from the owner Hello Kern, There is something you deserve to know about the procedure. The booking-site will send you an acceptation without consulting us. This is purely based on the booking calendar. What happened in this case was that we were in the process of finishing a booking when your request came. As said, your request was automatically accepted without consulting us. To avoid this for the future we found a feature in the bookings site to take a delay in account of 5 days between a request and a confirmation. This does not help you very much. Response from the owner Thank you very much for your review! Let me reply to all your comments individually: We will follow your suggestion to change the lights in the bedrooms. LED lights with dimmers will be placed during our stay in August 2016. The cloth washer is replaced by a new one since we had this review comment. I’m highly surprised to receive this message that the new machine does not work. I will contact the caretaker immediately to get this done. I fully agree that we should not advertise stuff that is not available. The safe box will be attached to the cabinet. We considered to attach the safe box to the floor. That would be the safest but not very convenient. This will be done in August 2016 too. The water supply is high on the agenda indeed since the local supplier seems to have more and more delivery problems. This August we will investigate if we can drill our own well near the sea avoiding salty water. If that does not work we will double the water storage capacity. In all occasions I will instruct the caretaker to get water manually before it runs out. The balcony should indeed have lounge chairs and a table. We will instruct the caretaker to place them there and never remove again. Also the roof above the balcony will get lights with a dimmer. The roof near the pool will get lights as well. We are not really sure what you mean with your comment about the furniture but will review it ourselves this August to see what can be improved. Yes, Erma is a very sweet person! Response from the owner Thank you for this review! We've been contacting with the caretakers and unfortunately the airconditioning downstairs was already NOT working on the same week you arrived. Sorry for the inconvenience! When the caretakers, informed us about the damage, we asked them to switch off the whole unit. We have bought it back in 2005, so we think it is time to replace a new one. Too bad you felt deceived. Hope to serve you better in the future!
