Description

Terrazas Del Mar is located a few minutes' walk from the centre of Benalmadena Pueblo, a white village, often referred to as one of Spain's best kept secrets. Quiet and peaceful, with mountain and sea views, yet only 15/20 minutes by road from the lively resorts of Benalmadena Costa and Fuengirola. Local transport (buses and trains) is frequent and on time and the village has a taxi rank. The property is modern with secure underground parking (marked bay 56 near the lift) and is conveniently located near to all amenities including supermarkets and many excellent tapas bars and restaurants.

There is a shared pool, paddle tennis court and children's playground (completed Summer 2008), all with sea views. Leading from the living room is a spacious terrace with stunning sea views, furnished with rattan furniture, sun loungers, table and chairs to enable you to dine al fresco. Comprising one double bedroom with en suite bathroom, one twin bedroom and a separate shower room, the apartment is ideal for families or two couples, with plenty in the surrounding area to see and do during your stay.

Getting around

Buses from the Pueblo run to Mijas and Torremolinos (via Arroyo de la Miel). The trainline operating along the coast runs between Malaga Centro and Fuengirola and passes through Benalmadena/Arroyo de la Miel and the Airport. Renfe trains to other cities depart from Maria Zambrano Train Station which is one stop before Malaga Centro. Use the Centro stop for visiting the port, old town, Cathedral, Gibralfaro and Alcazabar. Take the right hand exit out of Centto and turn right along Alameda Principal (El Corte Ingles will be behind you as you walk to the port).

“Wow just WOW”

What an AMAZING apartment. This apartment will blow you away from the moment you walk in. Me, my husband and 9 year old son had the pleasure of being able to rent this apartment for ten days in August and we didn't want to leave when it was time to check out. The apartment is fully equipped with absolutely everything you could possibly need, it is comfy and has a homely feel to it.  The views from the terrace a spectacular and the apartment block its self is quiet and very well kept.  We went to the pool most days and it felt like we had our own private pool, there was never anymore than five people around the pool at any one time, with our son being the only one using it. Glyn was amazing from day one, he was always messaging me to keep me updated date with details and he made sure that their was someone waiting with keys when we arrived (Yvonne). Yvonne greeted us with the most warmest welcome, told us everything we needed to know about the apartment and was on hand if we needed anything. What a lovely lady (we wanted to take her back to the UK). We will definitely be booking this apartment again, we wouldn't want to stay anywhere else when visiting Benelmadena. Thank you so much Glyn, we loved everything minute.

“Excellent”

Lovely apartment, everything you need, beautiful views from the large balcony through the day and evening,, claire is so helpful, she is the lady who gets the apartment ready. Shame the pool is a walk away across the road, but we mostly caught the bus to Peza Spada hotel in Torremolinis, and walked down to the beach to the right and then left at chemist, fab restaurant on beach Los Leonos and clean beach, from the apartment a short walk into the old Spanish village loads of bars and restaurants very pretty village.

Response from the owner The swimming pool , short tennis court and children's playground are located behind the apartments at the top of some stone steps. The road referred to in the review is the service road between the two apartment blocks. Buses to nearby beaches are frequent and inexpensive. We recommend getting the 121 bus to the Windmill Roundabout in Benalmadena Costa (Las Gaviotas) anf walk 50 metres on to a sandy beach or to the BP Garage after the Marina on the road into Torremolinos and walking 200 metres past the Pez Espada Hotel to La Carihuela Beach. There are beach bars at both but La Carihuela promenade also has a good selection of small shops good for clothes, shoes and souvenirs. It is possible to walk the full length of the promenade (paseo maritimo) into Torremolinos and walk up the stepz to the old town before catching a train back to Benalmadena/Arroyo de Miel Station. It is a 10 minute ride back to Benalmadena Pueblo by bus or taxi. Bus €1.55 and Taxi €8 (summer 2016).
