“Wonderfully relaxing” My husband, 1 1/2 yr old, and myself vacationed here as a babymoon and it was so relaxing and beautiful. The condo was very clean and very comfortable. It had everything we needed to enjoy our vacation. It is a very short walk to the beach and very quiet. There is a lot of space for a 2 bdrm condo and we loved being able to have meals there instead of always eating out. I have no complaints at all! Kathy was always very responsive and extremely flexible. We look forward to coming back soon!

“Beautiful Condo” Perfectly located, beautiful decor, updated appliances and quiet location. It does not have a ocean view but steps away from pool and beach. We are a family of 4 and were very comfortable. The sofa couch was great for our kids but I think adults would not like it. We would absolutely stay here again.

About Amelia Island

Historic Amelia Island was once a quaint shrimping village, and is now a welcoming, laid back family vacation destination. Come here to explore the historic architecture along the side streets of Fernandina Beach. Wander through quirky craft shops and unique art galleries. Learn about Florida's complex history with a visit to some of Amelia Island's preserved Civil War landmarks. Rent a kayak and explore the fantastic biodiversity of the island's shorelines and rivers. Go on a deep water fishing excursion, play a round of golf on one of Florida's emerald green courses, or just relax on the beach with a good book.

Amelia Island provides a perfect family vacation spot or a backdrop for important events. Each year, hundreds of visitors come here for family reunions, honeymoons, or Amelia Island weddings. No matter what plans you have in mind, you'll never run out of fun things to do here. The best way to experience Amelia Island is by staying in a vacation rental of your own. Wake up in the morning, enjoy a leisurely breakfast on the balcony of your private beach condo or villa, and then head downtown for a day of shopping, sightseeing, and vacation fun. In the evening, come home to your apartment and host dinner for your family and friends.

Here are a few suggested activities for your trip:

  • Take a horse drawn carriage tour: Experience the charming streets and elegant Victorian architecture of Amelia Island by taking a guided horse drawn carriage ride.
  • Visit the Blue Door Art Gallery: This collective gallery is owned by ten talented local artists working in a variety of genres and media.
  • Visit the Amelia Island Museum of History or tour an Amelia Island plantation: Florida has a rich and fascinating history, much of which is documented by the exhibits of this popular museum.
  • Take a boat trip along the Amelia River: Take a guided boat tour and see elusive Amelia Island wildlife like dolphins, wild horses, and rare wild boar.
  • Tour Fort Clinch: Explore this historic fort that was occupied by both Union and Confederate Troops during the Civil War, then go hiking and biking along the scenic trails of Fort Clinch State Park.
  • Experience Amelia Island golf: Tee off at one of the popular 18 hole golf courses around the Island.

You'll have no trouble finding a perfect place to stay in Fernandina Beach or anywhere on Amelia Island. The weather here is beautiful during all four seasons of the year, and vacation rental opportunities are always widely available. Find a quaint condo overlooking the historic streets, or rent an apartment just a few steps away from the beach. While you're visiting Amelia Island, you may want to take a day trip and explore Crystal Beach or Inverness.

Spacious 3 Bedroom Oceanview Condo
Beautiful, Comfortable and Spacious beach condo!

The location is wonderful, we could walk to the beach or drive. Great, family-friendly environment to have fun or just relax. Restaurants are a walk away or you can drive a short distance to the bay-eat, take pictures and walk around town. Of course you have to get ice cream! Amelia Island is our favorite place for vacation. This condo was perfect for our large family and we enjoyed having the fully stocked kitchen to prepare breakfast and lunch! The pool area was also very nice and relaxing!see more

Paradise

I would give this place 10 stars out of 5! Right on the ocean, condo had everything needed and then some. Updated appliances, dishwasher, full size washer/dryer, end unit so very quiet. The pool was spectacular with an oceanfront view. Everyone I met was so welcoming and kind! Outstanding restaurants nearby with excellent seafood. Ask owner about golf cart rental, or bikes, great way to see the island! Amelia Island is such a gem and this property is gated so the beach was not your typical crowded touristy Florida beach. It was secluded and peaceful and perfect for this stressed out teacher that wanted to relax over spring break. I also went to nearby Fort clinch and found a megladon shark tooth, full pristine sandollars, and shells galore! I will be a repeat renter, as the owner is so amazing to work with. When my dad was hospitalised, and I had to cut my trip short by a day, he did not charge me for the last day. That is unheard of and I have used VRBO’s, and Airbnb’s a lot. I had the trip of my dreams here!see more

Walk-in Amelia Island Beachside Villa
Better than advertised!

This property was very nice and met our needs when we were in a pinch with a screw up by another property management company. We were so grateful that this property was available. We have stayed at Sailmaker and nearby a number of times and we love this resort! The property is convenient to the parking lot and the pool, and like all Sailmaker units, it has a very private beach access. Neither the beach nor the pool was crowded during our stay, which was a relief as we are in the middle of the coronavirus pandemic. The most important thing to know is that the pics on Flipkey are outdated. The kitchen, patio, and bathrooms have been updated! This was quite a pleasant surprise. The owner was very communicative and kind. We have no complaints about our interactions with him. The property was adequate and had pretty much everything we needed. It was clean and well-equipped. Our biggest complaint was that when we got there, it was full of mosquitoes! Our guess is that the cleaning service must have left all the doors open while they cleaned. Luckily, the mosquitoes were sluggish and not hungry and we were able to squish most of them. By the second night, they were nearly gone. It was quite an annoyance the first night to have mosquitoes buzzing in our ears, though. It was also a little annoying to have to visit the property management office to get our check-in information. This seemed a little antiquated, especially since the door lock was a coded lock and we didn't need a key. It seems like the property management company could've sent the code to us in an email. (Nobody in the office was wearing a mask during the pandemic, which was doubly annoying. This has nothing to do with the property owner except for his choice of property management companies.) Overall, this was a nice property. It is well-priced and the owner is great. We would definitely stay again (and would bring our bug zapper if we did).see more
