“Wonderful!!” Do not hesitate to rent Villa Maris from Fabjan and Ivana. I would--and will-- go back there in a heartbeat. The two wonderful apartments are freshly decorated, well appointed and super clean. The relaxing garden comes complete with a beautiful little secluded lavender reading bed that makes you feel like you've just landed in heaven. The beach just in front of the house always has several chairs reserved just for Villa Maris renters and is not overcrowded. And Fabjan and Ivana are the most helpful, most kind owners we've ever rented a vacation home from. In a minute's notice, Fabjan patiently helped us organize so many wonderful outings. And although I was a bit hesitant about renting near Split instead of near Dubrovnik,I became enchanted by "the living palace" that is Split.

“Beautiful holidays close to the old town of Split - extremely he” We stayed at Studio apartment Lavender for two weeks with our baby daughter. The lovely hosts antonja and Drazen supported us during all phases of our holidays. They answered all our questions about the location and Split already prior to the trip, provided a bed for our little one and even helped us carrying our baggage to the bus-station during departure when 4 hands were not enough. The appartment is located in a quiet road just a short walk from the harbor and the beautiful old town. Restaurants and bars are close by. A nice beach can be reached within 20 minutes on foot. Stairs lead up to the Park Marjan inviting for nice jogging trips. The close by ferries allowed us easy day trips to the beautiful islands Brac and Hvar. The studio is affectionately furnished including kitchen, dish-washer and even a washing machine, which proved to be very valuable when travelling with a baby. All interior seemed to be new. A large table on the terrace in front of the appartment allowed to enjoy the warm evenings - the grapes hanging above invited for a sweet snack. We can highly recommend Studio apartment Lavender to couples and couples with a small child. Thank you very much again to antonja and Drazen.

VillaGG - Exclusive holiday for larger groups with BREAKFAST in Split Croatia

“Perfect” We had a wonderful stay at Villa GG and will give it the best recommendation. We were 17adults and two small kids and everybody said it was a fantastic place and vacation. The Villa had everything, baby beds and strollers for the kids, and a play house in the garden. The host , GG, was very kind. He arranged pick up at the airport for us, gave us a warm welcome with wine and a cheese, gave us a lot of good tips on where to eat and what to see. The villa was very modern and had all the facilities we wanted. The main bathroom was like a spa:) The location of the Villa was also very good. 2 minutes to the beach and a small grocery shop. Very nice area to do exercise like running, bicycle in the mountains and play tennis. We rented a car so it was easy to drive in to Split if we wanted to go to a bigger shopping mall, but GG is also helpful in arranging transportation. We had a fantastic time and I really hope we will be back soon. Thank you so much GG and Croatia for the unforgettable week!

“Lovely apartment, good location, excellent hosts” Spent week on lovely Hvar and thoroughly enjoyed this very well-kept apartment. Spectacular views from top floor apartment, location is convenient to Hvar Town without being in the middle of the hubbub. Nada and anton, our hosts, deserve special mention. Friendly and helpful, they provided everything from taxis to fuel for the available outdoor wood-burning grill. Excellent value overall.

“Marmont Apt in Split - the best location” A very nice apartment next door to the owners, who are very attentive and helped us arrange the Split Museum Card. And he is a doctor! The apartment is roomy with all the facilities you need including clothes washing machine, furnished kitchen with appliances (no microwave), etc. Location is in the heart of the Split shopping area and surrounded by restaurants and nearby supermarket. Some minor inconveniences: 1. 4 flights of stairs to climb. 2. Bathroom has a sewer smell I would associate with a bad drain trap. 3. Instructions to apartment were good except for the last turn. We were instructed to look for a yellow building that is not immediately visible. A better instruction would have been "turn left at the 1 meter high steel coffee cup sitting in the middle of the pedestrian walk way," accompanies by a photo.

“Delightful to have great accommodation in the heart of old town” The ideal place to stay in central 'old town' Split. Pleasantly quiet, yet only 5 mins away from the bustling Riva and Dioclecian Palace. Loved our apartment - spotlessly clean and comfortable with all amenities. It was a delight to meet the owners, who took time to share their knowledge of the town and advise us on 'things to do' and 'places to go'. Love this place and can't wait to get back. “Comfortable and friendly apartment in Split” the apartment is very comfortable ,compact and well equipped.It is situated in what appears as a semi rural area ,but which is very close to the centre of Split..It is also very close to the Majan peninsular which is a wooded rural area with beaches.Zoran and Ranka were very welcoming and made us feel very much at home even making us a lovely meal on the last day of our stay. The apartment has internet and television.We enjoyed our stay very much.

“Best location in Split Old Town!” This lovely apt.is well appointed, with modern appliances and very tastefully decorated. We spent 6 nights in Split and couldn't have asked for a better location! It's about a 10 min. walk from both the ferry or bus station (there's an airport bus every 30 min.to and from the main bus station, I think). Nela, who met us and let us into the apt. was so gracious and helpful. All the main sights and great shopping surround the apartment. Would definitely stay here again if we are fortunate enough to go back to Split!

“relaxation and enjoyment” Impressive place. At several places it still can be seen remains of Greek and Roman architecture. We enjoyed the accommodation in the heart of the oldest city in Croatia. “Lovely apartment, ideally placed for everything in Split” We found this well appointed studio ideally placed for a cultural but relaxing long-weekend break in the heart of Split. Just a short walk from the 'Rive' and Diocletian's Palace, we also enjoyed the fact that it's in the old town, with its narrow streets and excellent local restaurants. The Marjan is as close but up the hill, in the opposite direction. Tastefully decorated and well fitted out, the Studio's jewel is the terrace, where sunbathing or early evening 'sun downers' adds to the enjoyment.

“Wonderful, relaxing break in Hvar!” Earlier this month my husband and I traveled with another couple to Croatia. Since our travel plans were ambitious, we decided to take more of a break in Hvar so that we could relax and enjoy the beautiful Croatian waters. We stayed at House Gorjana and would do so again in an instant! Nada and her husband antun were gracious hosts and the apartment was clean, comfortable and...what a view! being just a few minutes away from the center of town, we could be away from crowds and noise, park our car easily and enjoy a stunning view from our large balcony. Nada was very helpful even before the start of our trip, suggesting where to take the ferry and how to find the house. While there, she suggested activities and sites we might enjoy. Her husband antun made reservations for us at a restaurant in town. We not only had a fabulous dinner, but with the obvious personal recommendation, we enjoyed a great table and wonderful service...so good that we returned a second time! The day we left I was able to see the larger apartment the floor above ours. As stunning as our view was, this was even more amazing! It has one more bedroom and a large living room, so it is great for a large family or 3 couples, with ample shared living space. We highly recommend House Gorjana, not only for it's great location, amenities and view, but for the very personal, warm attention given by its owners. Note that there are 3 available units: 2 smaller ones on the second floor (2 bedroom/2bath) and the larger on the top floor. Nada and antun live on the first floor and are always available should you need anything. And thank you Nada for suggesting we stop in Ston on the way to Dubrovnik. The mussels and oysters were fantastic!
