“Awesome time was had by all...” We had a wonderful experience! The house was stocked with almost everything that we needed. Port angeles weather could not have been better which allowed us to see almost everything we wanted. The only problem was that we ran out of time. We loved going to Sunny Farms for most of groceries. I wish that we could have taken them back with us.. The business reviews were very helpful in make our dining choices. It was extremely hard to return to the hot dry state of Texas...We are already talking about when we can return.

Serenity Shores Beachfront Home w/Boat Launch
Calm seas, fair winds and 4th of July fireworks

Serenity Shores was a relaxing and comfortable setting for our week in Sequim, WA. The house was clean and well appointed. We enjoyed looking at the marine life right outside our window! We saw an eagle proudly perched on one of the pilings to the west of the house, puffin, sea otters (one actually came up on shore to enjoy some seafood delight) , geese (by the dozens would swim by in the evenings), dolphins and so much more! Crab season opened while we were here, so we enjoyed watching the neighbors bring in their catch of the day of buckets and buckets of crab and shrimp. Our mouths watered as we watched them delight in their delicious fresh seafood dinners. Every once in awhile a couple of kayakers would paddle by. On the Fourth of July, a group of the private planes from the private air strip above the house were also flying around together - almost as if they were "practicing" for an air show. Fourth of July was full of activity. The beach at Diamond Point was full of homeowners setting off their own fireworks. We could see fireworks going off all around Dungeness Spit and north over to San Juan Island and around to the east towards Port Townsend. Many of the neighbors enjoyed backyard fires and we could see them making s'mores and roasting their marshmallows. The sunsets have been brilliant. So in addition to a sky of oranges and bright reds, pink amend purple, the sky was lit was lots of color from the fireworks. One of the things we enjoyed most while staying here was taking walks along the beach and down the street. There are wild berry bushes on the street; and after a neighbor pointed them out to me, I began to gather fresh berries and made a delicious fresh mixed berry compote to go over our ice cream. I froze a bag of them and hope to make a fresh berry cobbler for our friends. We have enjoyed our day trips to Port Angeles and Hurricane Ridge, Port Townsend, downtown Sequim and out to the Dungeness Spit. We have visited lighthouses at Fort Woodson/Point Wilson, New Dungeness Spit and on Ediz Hook in Port Angeles. There are a lot of brochures and pamphlets next to the desk in the living area that give you a nice overview of things to do. One of our favorite days was visiting several of the lavender farms in the area. We plotted our course and visited Martha's Lavender, Washington Lavender, Jardin du Sole' Lavender, and Sunshine Lavender (which is right near the house). We also went by Graymarsh Farms where dozens of people were taking baskets and boxes and going out to pick berries in their fields. We enjoyed the Highway 101 Diner and Old Mill Café for lunch a couple of days. In Port Townsend, the Chestnut Cottage offered a delicious lunch as well. Because the kitchen is so well furnished with kitchen utensils, dishes, pots and pans, etc., it was a pleasure to prepare our breakfasts and dinners while gazing out picture windows and onto the water. The wildflowers have been brilliant - especially the magenta fireweed that blankets the meadows along with yellow dandelions and white daisies. Vibrant foxgloves pop up all over as well in a variety of colors from white to pastel pink to magenta. Purple lupine and every color of day lily are also in full bloom. And the berries! Wild raspberries, blackberries, salmon berries - everywhere you look! Thank you Cheri for giving us the opportunity to stay at Serenity Shores and truly relax and enjoy this area.see more

Lovely Victorian Home in Downtown Port Angeles
Wonderful charming home to explore Olympic National Park!

We stayed at the property for 4 days while visiting Olympic National Park. Our only regret is that it was only 4 days! The home is spotless, and charming. Our 17 and 15 year old loved having their own space upstairs. The patio space was private and comfortable. We had our coffee outside every morning. The location is very convenient. You can walk to downtown. While in Port angeles, we took day trips to the beaches, rain forest, and Victoria BC. A highlight of our trip was a horseback tour of the forest with Rain Forest Horse Rides. Based out of Port angeles. You cannot go wrong. We would love to come back, and plan to stay longer next time!see more
Wood Street Guest House // 1 bedroom // Sleeps 4
charming guest house in convenient location

My husband, baby and I spent 4 nights at WSGH over the July 4th weekend. We stayed in the 1 BR part of the house, which was perfectly sized for our needs. The house is adorable, well equipped and centrally located. It was easy to walk to stroll down the main street to the grocery store and perfectly located for day trip explorations to the WA beaches and Hoh rain forest. We were even able to watch the fireworks from the front yard of the house!see more

Great stay

A very comfortable place for two people. The view was as beautiful as the pictures. The place was well supplied and very clean. The outdoor area had gorgeous flowers thanks to Pam's green thumb. The hosts Pam and Dick were available for anything we needed. We would return. … see more
