“Great Location and Condo” Great Condo and Location I can't say enough great things about this location and condo, we arrived on Monday and by that afternoon my husband was already wanting to set a date for a return trip. We decided to try to return for the week after Christmas since he's a teacher and the kids will be out of school. This location is wonderful for a family, it has a great pool as well as being really close to the beach. My concern was that I wouldn't be able to get my teenagers out of the Condo since they brought the PS3 and each have cellphones. Once we hit the beach they had a wonderful time and we couldn't get them out of the water. The beach was clean and wasn't crowded at all. Perhaps it was the time of year or that it was during the week but it wasn't crowded until Friday and we had been out almost everyday. We also ate at Doc's Local Restaurant which had a very nice view and the food was good. I haven't had guacamole with crab, pretty tasty. Also we went to Port Aransas and took the Red Pirate Ship tour, it had a cute show for little ones or for the "young at heart". We enjoyed our stay thoroughly and will certainly be returning soon. You will enjoy your stay at this condo even if it is just for a get away. There wasn't a lot of loud music or noise around the complex either, which I really enjoyed while we were sitting out on the patio having coffee in the morning or drinks in the evening. “Our third stay is booked!” We have stayed at Kathy's Kottage twice before and have just booked our third stay for next summer. We love Pointe West and this house has just been a perfect place for our family. This year we actually brought a couple of extra kids with us. Each time we come we venture out a little more and find new things to do and restaurants to visit. This year we found Olympia Grill on the bay at Pier 21. It was great. We also spent a little more time downtown. They had live music and many neat shops that the kids enjoyed going into. We had seen reports of seaweed in Galveston on the television, but by the time we arrived in late July the only seaweed we saw lingered in piles along the beachfront. If you are a repeat tenant make sure to ask for a small discount. We saved enough to pay for that meal at Olympia :).

“Mini vacation 2017” The location is great.We will definitely go back.Close to everything walking distance.Everything was clean all appliances came in handy especially having a washer and dryer was a plus.Only one problem mosquitoes in the morning due to grass not cut but besides that it was a great stay!

“Highly recommended” Beautiful location, and the house was very clean & cozy. House has everything you need to make it feel like you are at home. Beautiful scenery form the back and front decks, and our kids enjoyed kayaking in the canal. We would highly recommend it to anyone.

“Mrs. Mary Jo Gallagher” We enjoyed our stay. The bedrooms upstairs being accessible only from an outside stair case was a little inconvenient. We loved walking the neighborhood with our dog. What a pretty setting. Thanks for allowing or dog in your home. She loved the fenced in area.

“Great family time!!” We meet at Mustang Island at least once a year. This house was comfortable and slept our whole family. It was a little hike to the beach but not too bad.

“Best vacation rental in Houston” I booked this Townhome for NBa Allstar weekend. Great location! With all the people in town and all the crazy traffic. I was able to take the streets everywhere and beat all traffic. The home is so cozy and has the best decor ever. I suggest if your looking for a nice, quiet, cozy place to stay during your stay in houston. Book this!

“Had a great time at Portofino” We were pleased with our stay at Portofino. The house was very spacious for the 6 of us. The only thing is the walls are so thin you can hear everything, even when someones phone is on the floor upstairs you could hear it vibrate downstairs. And then we ended up with neighbors that packed a whole community into the house next door & they stayed in the pool playing their music til 1:00 & 2:00 in the morning. That was frustrating because we could hear it all. And the rosemary bush in front of the air conditioning unit needs to be trimmed. It's getting a little out of hand since that's the only way guests can come & go. Those are the only few things that any of us complained about. Over all it was a very pleasant stay & the house was decorated really cute.
