“Wonderful stay!” We had a wonderful trip and the apartment was even better than we expected. We had no trouble getting ahold of Sonja when we arrived and she was ready and waiting for us after our taxi arrived. The apartment was very clean, very well furnished and had everything we needed for our stay. Really like a home away from home although the apartment is slightly larger than our house so we reveled in the extra space! We spent the first week mostly hanging around Speightstown, going to the beach a lot and exploring the town. We had breakfast on the balcony every morning; it was wonderful to sit outside and watch the waves. Our son especially loved to stand on the balcony and watch the cars go by (go figure). We did have to rearrange some of the decorations to be out of his reach, but that was a minor thing and I think I put everything back in its proper place. :) The beach was very nice and private; we were the only people using it the vast majority of the time we went down there. All the rocks and coral did make it a little hard to wade with our two year old but we did find some nice sandy spots and he had fun going out a little deeper with us holding him. We spent the second week renting a car and exploring more of the island and found that Speightstown was a very good base for going to most of the attractions that we wanted to see like the wildlife reserve and animal Flower Cave. Overall, we had an excellent trip and would recommend Barbados, and this apartment, to anyone seeking a fun and relaxing family vacation.

“Beautiful Setting, Relaxing Stay” This is our second visit to Tankah Bay and it's pretty hard to beat our first stay. This was definitely comparable. The house was beautiful, clean, spacious and perfect for what we wanted. The caretakers were absolutely wonderful and very accommodating for our needs. I recommend taking advantage of their cooking skills, it will add to your relaxing experience and the food was excellent. Everyday you can stroll on the beach, take a swim, snorkel and kayak. Everything is right there, almost no need to leave the property. Within walking distance you have the Manatee Cenote, I highly recommend, just go early because it can get busy. Also, within walking distance, you have two bar/restaurants. My favorite part of the day was relaxing under the palapa, right on water, watching the birds hunt and dive. The beach side of the villa also offers privacy with a patio and lounging areas sheltered by hedges. I'd like to give a special thank-you to the property manager who provided us with fresh eggs from a local farm when the grocery store ran out of them just before Christmas. The Tulum ruins are a must see, as well as the Coba ruins. If you are adventurous, you can climb largest ruin in Coba and get an amazing view of the jungle. I could go on and on about how amazing this place is, but, you'll have to find out for yourselves! We will definitely be back and highly recommend this stunning villa. A much needed escape from the gray and cold of winter.

“Truly Amazing property!” There are no words to describe how wonderful it was to wake up to the magnificent views at Casa Espanola. The concierge and staff at my vacation Costa Rica were very attentive to all our needs. We were there for my girlfriend's bachelorette party and we were a group of 15! From the beginning, geralyn and Amy did a great job planning out our trip. I was very anxious about how the trip was going to turn out because i had never been to Costa Rica, but they were always so prompt with responding to my emails and executing all that was promised. Geralyn set up all of our excursions ahead of time. She even scheduled massages at the property! You won't want to leave this place! The pictures do not do it justice! It is even more beautiful in person. We posted photos on instagram with the hashtag #casaespanola so that you can see some photos from our experience. There were 4 floors and each had an ocean view! It was refreshing being able to wake up to that every morning! Every day, the cleaning staff came and cleaned up the property thoroughly, so the house was so nice every time we got back from our daily outing. Oh and our private chef, Chef Harold, was amazing!!!! He and his wife are so nice and the food is delicious! They have a menu on site and they will cook anything you request as long as they can get the ingredients. I would recommend Costa Rican cuisine because it is really yummy. All you have to pay for is the cost of food. And it is definitely worth it! The beaches are close by and easy to get to. The cost of transportation is about $1.75 per person each way. We had breakfast at Cafe Milagro. Their food is really good and the coffee drinks are deelish! You must see Manuel Antonio park. It is about a 20 minute stroll through the park where you see cute monkeys and other exotic animals. Once you get to the end of the park, you get to Manuel Antonio beach which is totally worth it! We had a blast. We also went to playa biesanz which is nice and private. Our trip was at the beginning of rainy season (May 28th-June 1st). I was really anxious about the weather because of the weather reports. I will say this: please disregard what you see on your weather app. It said that it was 100% precipitation and that it would be cloudy and raining every day. The weather was amazing pretty much all day. It would get cloudy in the late evening and it did rain a couple nights, but Costa Rica is so amazing that it didn't even bother us. Especially since we stayed at casa Española. I forgot to mention that they even provide you with 2 cell phones in case you need to get in touch with your concierge! How amazing is that? You can use the phone to make any local calls. So after the first couple days, i was able to call my own taxi lol I’m sure some of the other girls will post a review so you can definitely see how happy we were with our experience! Stay here! “Wonderful Place” We went as a family in the beginning of summer for a few days away. Everything was as described. The dining area was perfect to fit all of us together for a family dinner. The deck is perfect to sit and relax with a great view of lake. Everything you need for a BBQ was provided. The living room has a large fireplace , which we used even in the summer! The dock was a little bit of a walk, but well worth it. It is right on the lake with a table to sit and enjoy the lake. The owner was very accessible for any questions we had during our stay. Would definitely rent the place again! Very reasonable for a home so close to lake.

“Most amazing vacation and service I've ever had” There are so many wonderful things to say about this vacation its hard to consolidate it down :) The house is absolutely amazing. Each bedroom is special and unique and the outdoor living space is more than we could dream of. Hio and Nadine were our chefs and housekeepers and I couldn't say anything better about those two - they made the most delicious food, helped us with any favors or questions we had, and probably made too many trips to the grocery store (and liquor store!) than usual for us! Robert was awesome as the groundskeeper - as soon as it started raining (which probably lasted 5 minutes the entire trip) he would appear out of thin air to get the outdoor seat cushions out of the rain. We had such a great time and it was my husband and mine's first time bringing our friends - its a different kind of vacation, much more authentic and cultural than most are used to so we were a little nervous about how they would like it but everyone agreed - this vacation was amazing. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a more relaxing, private, and less touristy vacation spot.

“3 weeks in Paradise.” We have stayed in this wonderfull villa the last five years for shorter or longer time. We enjoyed to relax by the pool in the beautifull surroundings,take the boat out to one of the islands for a picnik, or to one of the resturants nearby. The Villa is tastefully decorated in antiguan style it is easy to feel at home and very comfetable. The garden is wonderfull and there is a little private beach where you can enjoy the morning swim. We enjoyed the evening on the terrace watching the boats anker up in the bay.

“serene, secluded gem” We have just returned from a wonderful vacation at Unit 12, Sunrise Beach Villas owed by John Fitzsimmons, on Paradise Island. This property is beautiful with a great patio looking out to the beautiful pool, and ocean. It was a very quiet area, and secluded feel, but close to everything. We could walk to the ferry, Marina Village which was beautiful, groceries, liquor stores, and atlantis. The ocean was calm and warm and our part of the beach was not crowded. I will definately recommend his units to my friends, and also thank you John for being so helpful.

“Little slice of paradise” Incredible food. Perfect beach. Professional, talented staff. Great house -- comfortable, classy and laid back, all at the same time. Me and a few friends rented the villa for four days in February, and we had not a single complaint. If you are looking for a low key beach vacation, away from crowds and hubbub, this is a wonderful spot to consider. I can't think of a single complaint. Oh, and the view from the SkyLounge -- exceptional.
