“Amazing!” This house is absolutely beautiful and the location is perfect! DeLayne is a gracious host and provided us with a very comfortable home. The beach is stunning! We watched whales and dolphins and when the tide was down we walked through the tide pools. We can't wait to go back!! Thank you DeLayne

“This is a gorgeous and spacious lake home with plenty of amentities for adults and child. 5 Stars!!!!” This property is on a gorgeous location on top of a small hill. The view of the lake from the house is breathtaking. Our group enjoyed our stay thoroughly and we took full advantage of the amenities in the property like out door fire pit, hammock, boats/kayak allowed by the home-owner to be used by us. The house has enough space--we were a group of 9 people and the space was ample however there is only one shower so that might be a limitation. the kitchen was very spacious and had all the stuff needed for cooking. It would have been nice if there was a functional grill for using outdoors--the one that was there was kind of old and did not work very well. There was some strange odor in the dishwasher but that might be because of its limited usage. Overall, this place is highly recommended for vacation stay. The owners were really nice and friendly and the view and location is absolutely spectacular! My Response Thank you for your kind words. I do want to say that we have replaced the outdoor grill. I'm sorry you had trouble with it. I checked the dishwater also but could not smell or see anything in the trap. We disconnected the plumbing to examine and clean. Whatever the odor was, it's gone. My apologies. I am glad you enjoyed yourself. Upon your next visit, you can enjoy our new 16x30 log railing deck we just finished 8/19/14! Appreciatively Yours, Shawn Skeele

“Great Location” My family just spent 8 days in Nassau at Ocean Paradise. It was a fantastic location for a relaxing beach vacation. We swam in the ocean every day and enjoyed the fabulous views/ The house was in good shape and very well suited to families.I have used Vrob for many years and Catherine was a great hostess. We will definitely book this house again.

Cottage in Iceland spectacular views with hot tub on request, cost € 15 per day

“A perfect cottage in which to feel at home.” This is a perfect cottage in which to feel at home whilst exploring the south west of Iceland. The views across the lake and to the surrounding hills are very special. It is well equipped and has a spacious living area and I would recommend paying the small extra fee for use of the hot tub after a day's trekking in the mountains or driving around the fjords. Iceland's highest waterfall, Glymur, is nearby and is well worth the walk. Haukur and anna Lisa, the hosts, are very helpful and friendly and we very much enjoyed our time in their summerhouse.

“A Forest Bungalow!” My family and I had a great time at Ptarmigan, Big Mountain-Whitefish, MT. We did it all! Went to Glacier National Park, enjoyed Big Mountain, toured the town and relaxed in the hottub! Our favorite part was making meals in a house in the woods. It was so magical being surrounded by cedar trees on a mountainside. Thanks for the memorable stay!

“perfect” We love Oar Island. It is the perfect vacation place for families with children of different ages, or just a couple. There is hiking, sunning, relaxation, but mostly what we love about Oar Island is the isolation. It is an adventure as well, since the only way to get there is by the little motorboat. It is a getaway for certain kinds of people; but if you prefer the Marriott type of stay, this is not that kind, it is much more "out-doorsy".

“OZARK MOUNTAIN FUN” My wife and I recently spent a wonderful and relaxing week in Eileen and Tom's luxury condo on Teble Rock Lake. We liked being close to all the activities surrounding Branson Missouri and Table Rock Lake without all the traffic and noise often found in Branson itself. In addition to Tom being extremely helpful in answering our questions the condo was all that was promised and more.

“Girls weekend away” Six of us brought together through a breast cancer survivor dragonboat team formed a bond and now we get together once a year at the "Annex". We go in the fall and enjoy the colours and serenity of the place. We have so much fun, the house is big and rustic. We enjoy the fireplace, the big kitchen, we take turns making meals and can't enough of the great outdoors. Dave makes sure we have enough wood and all the comforts of home. We just love the place and are looking forward to going back again this year.

“Awesome getaway!” Hearts Delight and the hosts, Mac and Dar are just that...a delight! The cabin is clean and comfortable with all the amenities of home but in a very relaxed country setting. The grounds are just beautiful and well maintained with a fire pit, swimming and fishing ponds, walking trails through the woods and a shared hot tub. You could not ask for a nicer getaway that is not that far from many of Ohio's highlights.

“We love to hear the ocean!” Georgina treated us like family. She communicated everything we needed to know prior to our arrival & departure. The windows in each room slide open & we went to sleep & awoke each day listening to the ocean & overlooking it along with the gorgeous green mountains. ust incredible! Lots of cute places to eat a few minute stroll up the road. The roof top pool & lounge is like being on a yacht. Easy access to the beach & nice clean sand. We cant wait to come back!

“Land of Fire, Ice and the cottage with three beagles.” We were greeted by Brynja upon our arrival and immediately we knew we had made the right decision. Before setting off for Iceland we had planned our itinerary pretty meticulously but Brynja provided us with enough ideas for places to visit and things to do to keep us occupied for a month. The cottage itself was delightful: well appointed on the shores of an Icelandic Fjord and with views of some of some of the most breathtaking scenery. Inside the cottage was no less impressive; spotlessly clean and complete with more all the comforts of home. We had chosen the cottage because of its location - an hour from Reykjavik - and had made plans to get all our shopping from the city. There is, however, a small shop 5 minutes drive from the cottage. Our stay in Iceland was amazing thanks in no small part to having this incredible home away from home.

“Great RRV Getaway -- Quiet & Remote, yet Conveniently Located to” We rented this updated house for Thanksgiving. We were a party of 6: grandparents, adult children & 2 grandchildren. We stayed in the downstairs, and the kids and grandkids stayed in the upstairs 2 BR with one large bathroom (with jacuzzi tub, shower stall & sauna) and a separate 1/2 bath. The house itself has one large living & kitchen area, with an eating bar, upstairs, with a second living area and kitchenette downstairs, which has an additional exterior door). We did not realize that the upstairs & downstairs aren't connected "inside"-you have to use the outside stairs to go from one area to the other. It's not a big deal and it provided a bit of separation from the noise and commotion of the kiddos.Overall, the house updated: updates in the kitchen, bathrooms, downstairs, central heat, Wifi, etc.Yet very comfortable and quaint with electric fireplaces (no wood burning),views of the redwoods from every window & large outdoor decks. The decks wrap around the house and provide privacy if you choose to use the hot tub or sit outside and enjoy the porch views of the trees & the RR. With latching gates at the top of the stairs, it was safe for the 3 yr old.The kitchen is a bit tight, but it is fully equipped with a nice frig, new gas range, new dishwasher. We cooked a full Thanksgiving dinner(always a challenge in someone else's kitchen),there were plenty of dishes, utensils, service wear, pots, pans, etc. The upstairs:full bath and half bath are adjacent to the living area. The upstairs beds are very comfy, with nice furniture and finishing. The sheets and towels are all very new and fluffy. The primary bathroom is huge, with a large Jacuzzi and the separate shower. The bathroom has a zen vibe-very relaxing. The half-bath is convenient with a crowd. We walked down the steps to the river, enjoyed the scenic fall views of the RR.Fun!The owner was delightful to work with & gave us plenty of info, good directions.Very helpful!

Cozy Cottage at a Magical Lakefront Retreat Property on Lake Travis
Spicewood cottage
- 1 bedroom
- 1 bathroom
- sleeps 4
“Paradise found at The Cozy Cottage on Lake Travis!!!” Speaking for our entire family, I want to thank you for an amazing four day vacation/experience. Upon arriving at Living Waters, we were immediately drawn into the peaceful, inspirational environment that encompasses the "compound". "The Cottage" was perfect for the seven of us. After we arrived, we sat out on the back porch to admire our surroundings. Bethany arrived to give us some wonderful advice as to what to see and do in and around Spicewood. Her charm and enthusiasm immediately got us all excited about our next few days of activities. Our next activities were from Bethany and Travis's recommendations: visits to the Stone House and Spicewood Wineries and swimming at Krause Springs. I saved the best recommendation for last: The Friday night Tomato Happy Hour with Kathleen. We met so many wonderful "regulars" as well as the other two couples who were staying at Living Waters. It was a memorable experience. Kathleen is an amazing person. After I read her little book that was upstairs in the cottage, I couldn't wait to talk with her. She bonded instantly with our family and the children were taken in by her warmth and friendliness. Little Haynie hadn't come home by the time we left so Kathleen invited us to come back the next morning, bright and early, so that we could meet him. We set our alarms for 6:30 am and we were not disappointed. My grandson Evan (age 10) said that petting a deer was one of the most wonderful experiences he's ever had. We all decided that we wanted to have a pet deer of our own!!! Thank you so much for giving us the opportunity to experience life in that little corner of heaven called Living Waters. “We all love the place” This house is both casual and luxurious. The lakeside house has great beds, nice sheets, a well-equipped kitchen, an amazing open and scenic living room, a lovely garden surrounding the house and lots to do in the area. I've enjoyed walking on and exploring the area along the shore, wading out into the lake to swim, relaxing in the hammock, and cycling on the many country roads. I've stayed there several times, with and without my kids, and we all love the place.
