“Relaxing Weekend Getaway” We love this home! It is on a private dead-end street, and everything is just perfect. Kept the boat right at the dock, fished right there at night, took some nice boat rides through the back country, and relaxed in paradise. Wifi is good and fast (I had to do some work while we were there), and we can't wait to go back.

“Tranquil, beautiful property” The gardens and pool area are just beautiful and tranquil. We enjoyed sitting outside in our quiet, secluded paradise, but were not far from all the hub bub and attractions of Old Key West. We loved our little apartment too, although it was a little small for 4 adults. We spent most of our time outdoors though, but the room was clean and comfortable. We used the kitchen quite a bit and saved money on eating out.

“Perfect location for the "Food" end of Duval!” A perfect sized studio bungalow! Very comfortable, with a fully equipped kitchenette, full bathroom, living room area and comfy queen bed. Everything we needed was provided. Towels, sheets, pillows, blow dryer, on site washer and dryer, etc. The pool was great. Located in a small complex, it was nice to meet other travelers. There's a small store at the end of the block. The entry way has books available to read while lounging at the pool. Walking distance to many restaurants like Seven Fish, McConnell's Pub, Blue Heaven, Santiago's Bodega, etc. Close to Ft. Taylor State Beach, Higgs and Smather's Beaches, too. Not far from Hemingway's House, the USCG Cutter Ingham and Key West Eco-Discovery Center. So much else close by! We were able to walk everywhere. Though we rented bikes for part of our visit available right on Duval, making it much easier to get to around Key West faster.

“Very nice” I loved to stay in this appt. Next stay in Key West will be booked at Key West Vacation Rentals too. They are very friendly people and they helped in all way they could if problems happen. The best is the short distance to the Duval Street. And the second-best is the adult-pool in the Centre Street.

“Quiet, Nice Little Getaway” Papa's certainly is a nice little hideaway for a Key West vacation. It has a really nice outdoor area with a small pool and lots of tables and seating for relaxing. The rooms are a bit small, but if you're in Key West you're probably not spending too much time in the room anyways. If you are there for an extended period, you probably won't really have enough space to cook even though there is a kitchen, so I wouldn't plan on that. However, it is in close proximity to many restaurants and bars so you really shouldn't have to bunker in anyways. For the price, this is a nice little getaway and we were very pleased with our stay. I would definitely stay here again in the future. Very relaxing and a nice, quiet getaway from the busy Key West night life.

“Weekend Getaway” Overall, we were very happy with Papa's Hideaway. Just far enough off the beaten path to be quiet when necessary and just close enough to be meandering down Duvall Street in minutes. The most frustrating aspect of our stay was obtaining and dropping off keys. Making the reservation was simple. The management company was very polite and professional. However, about a week before our trip we realized we had not heard a thing from the management company. We called to confirm our reservation and all was well. What we did not realize at the time was that we did not receive our confirmation e-mail that explained the check-in and key process. We showed up at our destination with no access to the property, not realizing the management company was not on site. This was frustrating after a very long trip. We were saved by an employee leaving for the day, but that was pure luck. So be aware. Look for your e-mail. Have the management company phone number in hand. Ask questions about check-out and who to call for problems during your stay. These are the only things we struggled with while at Papa's Hideaway. We would definitely stay here again.
