“Beautiful, very quiet, beachfront condo!!” My husband and I booked this condo for a beach getaway with our two daughters ages 12 and 16. We were looking for something quiet and relaxing with easy access to the beach and this was exactly what we got. The whole condo is perfectly furnished and the king size bed was extremely comfortable. I usually don't sleep well at rentals because I'm used to sleeping on a tempurpedic, but this bed was great. Even the sheets felt high end. Much better than you get a regular hotel. My girls loved their room as well. It was so quiet (which is how we like it) that I slept better at the condo than at my own home. It literally felt like we were the only ones there. This would be a great rental for couples, retirees or for a family like our own looking to get away from everyday stressors who enjoy a laid back, beachy vibe. Literally, the only thing you will hear are beach waves when on your beachfront balcony. We plan on coming back again. Owner was very attentive to all needs and responded quickly to all questions we had before booking.

“Relaxing and luxurious!” The experience was all we wanted it to be and more. We stayed at the condo with my husband, 2 teens and a 18 month old and we all fit comfortably! The place is beautifully appointed with gorgeous views, exquisite patio, and gracious hosts. We had fun just enjoying the place itself, the kids had their own quarters with TV and board games and me and my husband stayed in adjoining suite complete with living room and kitchen. Very nice setup, very relaxing, great location right next to tons of amazing restaurants, upscale shopping and amusement parks. Just all-around perfect family vacation spot!

“Better than Mexico all-inclusive” Better than Mexico all inclusives. Surfside 1 in South Padre, TX Spi78597 was staying at the beautiflly updated beach condo was very relaxing. Frp, tje flat screem TV to the Granite in the bathroom there was everything my family and I needed for a home away from home. (Even a hair blow dryer) Surfside 1 in S. P. “love love loved!!” This was a beautiful and comfortable stay!! The name suits it very well! Not only do you wake to the waves, but to fall asleep to them is even better!! I loved the simple walk to the beach and the convenience of the pool!! I must admit, being able to watch my husband and kids play on the beach while i watched from the bedroom balcony was by far my favorite!! Love love loved it!! Thanks cheryl!! “great stay” We stay with this complex every year and are never disappointed. I love the location, right next to the beautiful beach. The condo is clean and very nice.Comfortable decor and comfy beds. The pool is nice and the grounds are clean. We enjoy the playground and enjoy cooking out on one of the grills on the property. I like the new gazebo that has been installed since we were there last. I would definately recommend this place and I do all the time.

“Finally able to relax.” Friendly helpful service. Very Clean, comfortable and fully functional. Felt secure. Close to elevators, close to pool but still for enough away for a little privacy.No traffic noise. High enough for great view of the gulf through the palms, but close enough to the ground for a beach experience instead of nose bleed. Some may say the kitchen might need an update but the pictures are accurate. We were fine with it.

“Unique and Secluded Tropical Island on the Texas Gulf Coast” We were looking for somewhere new to stay in Texas on the Gulf and were going to try Galveston, but luckily we found the Matagorda Dunes Condos on Matagorda Island before we made our reservations. I inquired about the condo and was pleasantly surprised by a phone call from a very friendly and professional owner who gave me information about Condos 1 and 2. We decided to give it a try because I was really impressed with the owner, Kim, and it was a great decision. The condo was super clean, and everything you could possibly need was supplied. The view from both decks was awesome and included the lagoon and the Gulf Coast. You could hear the sound of the waves day and night. The beach is only a few minutes away and it was clean and beautiful. The birds such as the pink Spoonbills, Seagulls, Egrets, and Pelicans could be seen not only from our deck on the lagoon, but also in many numbers on our drives up and down the beach. My husband and I are hesitant to recommend this place because we want to keep it all to ourselves, but that wouldnt be fair to anyone who has not visited this very unique and wonderful island. We cant say enough about how nice the owner Kim is. She was there from day one to all answer questions, and was basically 'on call' the whole time we were visiting there. A plus also were the three restaurants on the island, gift shops, and a grocery store only minutes away from the condos as well. Do yourself a big favor, contact Kim and stay at either of the condos at Matagorda Dunes. You wont regret it, in fact you will count the days until you can return.
