Jerusalem, Central, Emek-Refaim, Beautiful, Quiet

Jerusalem apartment

1 bedroom / 2 bathrooms / sleeps 5

“Fantastic place, and lovely people” The flat is in a great location in the German Colony. It's quiet, clean, in good condition, and very homely. It looks just as it appears in the photos. The free parking is a real bonus for Jerusalem. The best thing, though, are the people who own the flat. They were extremely helpful and welcoming, and really went the extra mile, including a classical concert ticket, and even a home baked chocolate cake! In short, highly recommended.

“It was a wonderful time in a warm atmosphere.” Nili and arnie a great hosts giving us the opportunity to learn more about their life. “Amazing Hosts” We had an amazing time at "At Our Yard" in the Hula Valley. Ron and his family were very hospitable and accommodating. The accommodations were very large and everything one needs is there. Ron's mom even left us cookies and milk! We can't wait to return and visit this wonderful and peaceful place along with our new friends.

“Beautiful accomodations and great amenities!” We had an incredible time during our stay at the Windows of Jerusalem vacation rentals! The apartment was not only beautiful (and super clean), but it was also furnished so thoughtfully. Everything we could have needed was already thought of and provided (dishwashing soap, laundry detergent, shampoo...). We really enjoyed the floor to ceiling windows and got striking views of sunrise and sunset over the city. The staff is also very friendly and accommodating and the free internet made it easier for us to work out last minute trip planning. The parking option was also very helpful because we needed to rent a car during our stay and parking in downtown Jerusalem can be hard to find. If you are coming to Jerusalem and want to really be able to focus on making the most of your trip, this is a fantastic option: great location, beautiful and comfortable accommodations, friendly and helpful staff = really great experience!

About Israel

The state of Israel is a bridge between the West and the Middle East. It's full of contrasts and you never quite know what will be around the next corner. You can visit Jerusalem, bathe in the Red Sea, or float happily in the Dead Sea.

To find your ideal Israeli vacation rental, start searching now on FlipKey!

About Israel

Israel has a rich history, although the State was only founded in 1948. It was populated by European Jews who had escaped the Holocaust. Muslims, Christians and Jews share Jerusalem, which is a city full of history. When you walk through the Old Town, you are walking in the footsteps of the Old Testament prophets, kings and Caliphs.

There are diverse cultures in Israel, as people come from different countries to settle there. However, the people love to eat, drink and be merry. They'll get up and dance in a restaurant at the drop of a hat.

The food is varied, but you really must try hummus and the street food, falafel and shwarma. Try Jachnun with a tomato dip but beware, that can be very hot! Shakshuka is another favorite tomato-based dish. Vegetarians can eat well in Israel!

Israel is vibrant, interesting and exciting. There's always something new to see and experience.

What to do in Israel

A visit to the Mehane Yehuda Market in Jerusalem is a must. You can buy fresh fruit and vegetables, nuts, dried fruit and olives, as well as a whole host of other Israeli produce. At night the area comes to life as it has many bars and restaurants.

Of course, you should visit Jerusalem's Old City and see the Dome of the Rock shrine and the Western Wall, the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Church of the Holy Sepulchre.

When you can tear yourself away from Jerusalem, visit the Sea of Galilee, or Kinneret, as it is called by Israelis. It really is beautiful.

If you like Bauhaus architecture you really must go to Tel Aviv. There's plenty to explore there.

Of course, many tourists visit Bethlehem and Nazareth to witness the sites where Jesus was born and grew up. A guided tour is a particularly interesting way to discover these two locations.

If you love a beach vacation, you should definitely head to Eilat, a resort town in the south. You won't be disappointed!

Top travel tips for Israel

The easiest way of getting around Israel is by bus.

You can take a train or bus from Jerusalem to Tel Aviv, or of course, you could rent a car. You should be aware that the bus station in Jerusalem isn't very convenient, as it isn't centrally located, but in a suburb.

As a general rule, you tip waiters between 10 and 15 per cent. If you take a tour, then expect to give the guide a 5 per cent tip. It's usual to tip the driver between 120-150 shekels a day. Don't tip taxi drivers.

Israel is a far cry from an ordinary vacation destination. If you want to be immersed in history and a different culture, it's the place to go. Alternatively, if you enjoy vacations near beaches, you'll love the ones in Israel!

Beautiful Galilean view.

Very prompt response to all concerns while here. Good directions on how all things functioned here. Our host gave very good directions for getting here but the site was not close to anything in town where we could walk to. We were expecting a stove to cook meals. … see more

Wonderful location

We were very pleased with the apartment. It met all of our needs and is in a location that is convenient to the Old City and many other things. There are many places to eat and shop nearby. 7.Ezra Hasofer 9 One bedroom for 2
Perfect and very clean beach condo

Let me start the review by saying that we are a very cleanly couple and this apartment just met all of our expactations! We were travelling with my sister and a friend, so the 4 of us rented this little beach condo for a week. It was perfectly clean, bath towels were available, kitchen was well equipped and the rooms offered enough space for 4 people. The bathroom was extremely clean, toilet paper was provided as well as soap and shampoo for convenience. A hair dryer was also available. The bed and the sofas were very comfortable and sheets were all clean. Our host, Etay, was very friendly and responded immediately to all of our requests via SMS or Whatsapp. He arranged a parking space in the building for us (on days when we rented a car) and was so friendly to leave a remote for the garage. He even arranged a taxi back to the airport and was all in all a perfect host. I do have to say that we never met in person but that is something that didn´t bother any of us since he replied to all of our questions immediately. Thank you, Etay! We really enjoyed staying at your place!see more
