“Quiet, comfortable, delicious, interesting and easy!” Quiet, tho we watched a movie and enjoyed the creek flow sounds; comfortable and pretty indoors and out; delicious organic goodies from the garden with tour; interesting to see and learn about the eco architecture; and super easy staying in or going to Bryson City or asheville. We totally enjoyed it and meeting Linda!

“A Magnificent stay in the Great Smokey Mountains!!” We had a lovely time visiting your cabin! The panoramic views were breathtaking!! There were many options for us to relax. Indoors and out there were comfortable sitting areas. A large and well equipped kitchen, and dining area for entertaining. Outdoors we enjoyed the hot tub, the fire pit, breathtaking views and starry nights. Your home was beautifully decorated and the beds were very cozy. We were happily secluded but just a drive down the mountain to town if needed. Thank you for sharing you beautiful mountain home with us!! Looking forward to another stay at your Water Rock Retreat!!

“Excellent get away” It was a very nice cabin with a wonderful view. Everything is nice and clean. Such a pleasure to stay in. We most definitely will be staying their again. A fast response to my inquiry witch was very helpful. Overall a impressive place to stay.

“Best anniversary yet.” We brought our extended family to the Ferguson House for our 39th anniversary. Everyone loved staying here, it was large enough to accomodate all of us. The patio area with firepit, hot tub, waterfall, and views were particularily enjoyed in the evening. We cooked out on the gas grill and had a great time indoors and outdoors. We all would highly recommend Ferguson House. Thanks for letting us stay here. Hope to come back same time next year for our 40th anniversary.

“Relaxing and Peaceful” We enjoyed our stay. It had a wonderful view and we really enjoyed watching all of the Humming Birds. We came to hike the mountains and there were plenty of trails to hike.

“The perfect trip! Awesome!” Wife and I recently spent our 15th anniversary in "A Mountain Dream"...and, it was a dream, indeed! Cozy, quaint, a true "cabin feel"...beautiful views and plenty of privacy. “Sad to Leave” Vacationing with my husband and my parents, we wanted to stay together while having our own private spaces. This cabin fit perfectly. The cabin can comfortably sleeps six, but 4 or less is ideal. The upstairs loft was adorable and my parents chose to stay up there because they thought it would be fun. It had twin beds, so not the most romantic of arrangements...but still fun and unique. The master bedroom was nice. The bed was a little on the soft side for my liking...but that's just me. We kept so busy during the week, I still managed to sleep like a baby the whole trip. The hot tub was always nice and hot and I loved sitting in there at night listening to the sounds and enjoying the view. The shower was a bit of an experience, but nothing I couldn't adapt to. It's a little on the small side, so I recommend making sure the water is to your liking before stepping in, lol. I loved the kitchen, it was wonderful having a full sized fridge, a microwave, toaster, small stove and dish washer. We went grocery shopping upon arriving in town, which saved us a lot of money by not eating out all the time. The biggest draw of all was the washer/dryer. Knowing we could do laundry allowed us to minimize our luggage as well. Over the course of six nights, we fell in love with this cabin and did not want to leave. Our last morning was spent running around, taking pictures of every last nook and cranny...preserving every memory we could. I can't imagine ever staying anywhere else whenever we visit Pigeon Forge from now on. In a moment, Trip Advisor is going to as me if I would recommend this vacation rental to a friend... not only will I, I haven't shut up about it. I can't stop telling my friends about it. :)

“Just Book It!” My wife and I have stayed in many cabins in Tennessee over the years but if you want a view you must book Cloud 9. The price is low for what you get. We even saw a bear next to the cabin. The drive to the cabin is very steep and I wouldn't drive it even in a 4X4 in snow or ice. The pictures are accurate with a few minor updates like newer Tv's. We love this cabin and have already booked it again in 2014!

“Yancey Palace” Cabin and property were just what we expected from a mountain home It’s located almost in a pasture with beautiful views all around us Short ride to Burnsville and Asheville We did not meet the owner Annette but did speak with her on the phone. She couldn’t have been nicer We were there a week but will return as we fell in love with the area. Thank you Annette

“Wish I could live here!!!” My husband and I stayed here for an extended weekend with our five year old son. We have stayed in numerous cabins throughout the Boone area and this one is by far, the best one yet! The cabin has all of the amentities of a home, just bring your clothes and some food and you're all set! The cabin is very comfy, tastefully decorated and in a perfect location. We were far enough away from Boone to truly relax yet there is a grocery store five minutes away. We grilled out each evening on the wonderful wrap around deck. The sunset view from the deck and hot tub are absolutely amazing! I wish I could experience this every evening! My son fell in love with the hot tub, we could not get him out of there!! We truly appreciate the little things about this cabin. There were fun games, Netflix access (which was great for our son!!), etc. My husband was impressed with the surprise beer he found waiting for us and I enjoyed the complimentary wine :) This is truly a home away from home. I was very sad to leave and we will definitely be back, hopefully very soon :)

“My home away from home!” I'm a repeat customer at Green Mountain. I first visited July, 2008 and have been back 2-3 times a year since. I've stayed in both cabins depending on my needs. Landen is a wonderful hostess and makes me feel right at home. My dog Frankie often accompanies me and loves it there. The fenced 3 acre pasture where he can run may have something to do with that. The cabins have all the comforts necessary for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. The kitchens are fully equipped so you don't have to go anywhere if you don't want to. The location is very convenient to Hendersonville and asheville. I love it here and try to stay as often as I can get away.

“Slice of heaven” I lost my husband of 34 years in 2005 and simply didn't want to return to the mountains until my dear friends convinced me it would do me good to go with them for a relaxing week-end at the Nelson's " retreat in the sky. I'm so thankful I went because we all had such a wonderful time. The home was impeccably decorated and had every amenity you could possibly ask for. The views were breathtaking particularly from the deck. The home sits on top of the mountain so it was as though we could just reach up and touch the clouds! Our days were spent exploring the many shops in Bryson City or nearby towns and our evenings were filled with laughter just relaxing in the jacuzi, playing card games & sharing life's stories. We are presently working out details for our next "Golden" getaway this summer at the Nelson's Retreat and we can't wait!

“Beautiful, comfortable, and relaxing.” We really enjoyed this cabin, even though we were only able to stay one night. It was beautifully decorated and had all the comforts of home. We are looking forward to going back and spending more time.

“Nice & Cozy” I was very pleased with the cabin & the location. I really liked how it was off to itself but yet it was still close to downtown Cherokee and the casino. Would recommend this cabin for a nice place to stay.
