“Surrounded by Nature with the comforts of home.” With a peaceful, private lake just a footpath away from this completely updated unit, you can't go wrong! Despite all the modern touches the unit holds, it has such a cozy "cabin" feel to it. It was great having all the amenities for our active boys just a walk away as well as beautiful Lake George so close by! Our family has rented several times and upon each return we notice another convenience or update added to the unit. A perfect day for us includes, eating breakfast on the covered patio, followed by a hiking adventure at the many places nearby,(our kids will squeeze in some tennis or basketball too) then down the path to the lake to catch some sun, some swimming, kayaking or boating then back to the condo for a grilled dinner and campfire! Then off to the comfortable beds for a good nights sleep so we could spend the next day at beautiful Lake George! It's such a treat to enjoy all that Mother Nature has to offer and to come back to such a comfortable, cozy, and well loved condo!

About Lake George

Affectionately nicknamed "Queen of American Lakes," Lake George, New York is located in the upper region of the Great Appalachian Valley between Albany, New York and Montreal, Canada. It is renowned for playing a significant part in U.S. history, and today is a popular destination that offers a plethora of activities for travelers of all ages. There is plenty of outdoor recreation to enjoy in every season. Water sports include diving, fishing, jet skiing, and parasailing. On land, visitors can enjoy hiking, horseback riding, golfing, skating, and skiing. There are also many shops, restaurants, and cafes to check out on the bustling Main Street downtown. Along the waterfront, visitors can take in all the spectacular surroundings of mountains, water, and sky. As a family-friendly vacation spot, Lake George can't be beat.

Here are just a handful of the many sights you will want to see:

  • Adirondack Winery & Tasting Room: This is a great place to try some unique wines and learn about them from the friendly and knowledgeable staff.
  • Great Escape and Splashwater Kingdom: As New York's largest amusement park, this place has numerous rides, general attractions, and special events.
  • Prospect Mountain: This popular spot for hikers is also a must-see for anyone who wants to view the breathtaking landscape of the region. At the top of the mountain, you can see the lake, mountains, and areas as far away as New Hampshire and Vermont.
  • Fort William Henry Museum: As a fun educational opportunity, this museum has it all: historical drama, ghosts, archeology, and more.
  • Boat Cruises: This activity, provided by a number of different carriers, is a great way to learn all about the region and see all of its offerings firsthand.
  • The Old Court House: Erected in 1845, this historical site has a museum with wartime artifacts, a bookstore, and a library. In the basement, you will find the original jail rumored to have ghosts.

Once your day of sightseeing is done, you can settle down for the night in your own wood-side cabin or in a condo downtown. During the summer, a waterfront vacation rental is an ideal place to stay so you can enjoy every aspect of the lake. No matter what season you visit, there are many exciting annual events taking place in town. Some of these celebrations include the Lake George Winter Carnival in February and the Lake George Family Festival in August. If you still have time for a few day trips, check out neighboring towns Queensbury and Glens Falls.

Villa
So peaceful!!!!!!

We stayed at twin pines in August 2012. Great place. Lots of fun. Very friendly and kind owners. We are actually planning another trip there this year even though we don't vacation one place more than once. We loved it. The cabin was clean and everything was provided in the kitchen where we prepared all our mealssee more
