“Fantastic!” This was our first time to visit Chincoteague and it was awesome! Snug Harbor was exactly as described including the beautiful views. The location was great because you were close to downtown and getting to the beach was easy. I had envisioned renting kayaks but my husband didn't really want to so we went on a boat tour with Captain John. Such a good call, we got to see so much and the Captain was so interesting you could tell how much he loved the area. If I was going to nitpick, I wish there had been a hook in the bathroom to hang our towels but it was easy to make due. I would stay there again in a heartbeat!

“Amazing location and scenery” I came up with friends for a weekend and wanted to stay a lifetime. This cottage had everything we needed for a peaceful getaway outdoors. Cute little town nearby for food, hiking close by, kayaks to float around in and a fire pit to unwind by. The host (Pat) and her husband were nice as can be and made our stay at their cottage comfortable and relaxing. Honestly, i don't have one critical thing to say about our experience at this cottage. We all agreed that we'd like to come back to this exact spot and do it all again.

“A Real Gem!!!” This cottage is the perfect place for two people. It is truly as beautiful as the pictures! The pool and grounds are exceptional and the view is breathtaking. The place is extremely well maintained and the owner is very kind and helpful. We had a fabulous weekend here and would gladly return!

“Awesome getaway!” I came here with a group of friends for a getaway weekend, and it was awesome! The house is big and comfortable. Huge backyard where you can relax and nearby is a little river where you can walk to. The owners of the house are super friendly and always tried to make you feel comfortable. Definitely would recommend this to others and I would sure be coming back.

“Wonderful Stay in The Adirondacks” We couldn’t have been more comfortable in this lovely home. Everything you needed or wanted is at this home. “Perfect Family Vacation Spot!” We scoured this and other websites for two months looking for the perfect spot for our first vacation as a young family of four... and we found it at this lovely home! Around every corner was exciting new activities for both kids and adults. At the end of each day of our stay, my three-year-old and one-year-old each passed out with exhaustion after a day of playing at the beach, marveling at nearby waterfalls, exploring the lake via kayaks and canoes, and playing with the numerous toys and books throughout the house. And when they did pass out, we adults got to enjoy grilled steaks and a nice bottle of wine overlooking beautiful sunsets over the lake from the second floor deck. I think my three-year-old said it best: "I love the lake house daddy; can we come back again and again?" Indeed. Great owners as well -- thorough, clean, and responsive.

“Highly recommend for great food, lodging, live music,and best of” There is a small group of ladies, three of us, who like to travel for wine tastings. We found a hotel in Richfeild Springs on a lake from trip advisor reviews, close to Cooperstown where our wine tasting was going on. When we returned to the Lake House that evening we sat by a fireplace in the living room and the door was open to the second floor and could hear clearly three men talking about a battle of the Potomac. Then they talked about Pickett's charge and on the 4th of July of '63 a train 14 miles long with Lee's wounded. We did notice an accent when they spoke but could not place it. The interesting part of this review came after our return home. It appears the Hotel is haunted (I am not one to believe in ghosts) but when we told our husbands about these three men talking about General Meade and Pickett's charge etc. and how many of their friends were lost ,They Looked at Bruce who teaches history and in disbelieve, informed us this was later known as the Battle of Gettysburg and ended on July 4th of 1863. This was 146 years ago to the day we were sitting there listening to these civil war veterans and 20 years to the day that the Lake House opened in 1843. Now all six of us will defintely be returning next july 4th to the Lake House for the Ghosts and great conversation.

“Beautiful! Relaxing! Perfect!” I spent 4th of July weekend with a group of friends at this wonderful mountain retreat, and it was all that we wished and more!! The views are spectacular, the private pond and the mountains added so much to our stay. It was like being on a private resort...the home had everything we needed to have fun and enjoy this long summer weekend, and we are already planning to return next year. Thank you so much for providing such an amazing spot for a long weekend getaway! And it must be noted how accommadating and easy it was to communicate with the owner and with flipkey whenever I had any questions-- 5 Stars!
