Point of View overlooking the Yellowstone River

Pray house

3 bedrooms / 2 bathrooms / sleeps 8

“Enjoy this "Point of View"” Our group of gals have stayed twice at "Point of View". We love the location, the view, the eagles, the comfort and amenties. Chico is close enough for a late dinner as well as Livingston's offerings for lunch and/or dinner. Also the kitchen has everything where one could fix all the meals without leaving this beautiful piece of paradise. Gordon and Pat are gracious, accessible host/hostess which gives a bit of a security when planning a visit. Whether you are new to Paradise Valley or from a nearby city, whether a family or girls' getaway or hunting/fishing, this home offers a great "point of view"!

“Superb!!!” We brought our family together from around the country at the O'Neill Guesthouse and it was fabulous! The house is beautiful and cozy with every amenity. There's plenty of space to get everyone together on the deck or around the dining table or bar; plenty of spaces for quiet time. The location right on the Gallatin is fabulous for relaxing, visiting, dining and fishing. And there's nothing like going to sleep - or waking up - to the gentle roar of a mountain stream. The O'Neill's are superb hosts and their recommendations for activities, outfitters, restaurants, etc. were spot on. Do we think it's excellent? We've already booked next year!

“A Forest Bungalow!” My family and I had a great time at Ptarmigan, Big Mountain-Whitefish, MT. We did it all! Went to Glacier National Park, enjoyed Big Mountain, toured the town and relaxed in the hottub! Our favorite part was making meals in a house in the woods. It was so magical being surrounded by cedar trees on a mountainside. Thanks for the memorable stay!

Madison River Home, On the River, Walk to Town

Ennis house

2 bedrooms / 1 bathroom / sleeps 4

“Relaxation on the river” Our stay at the Madison River Home could not have been nicer. We were in town for the ski swap and were able to walk to town, enjoy the Christmas stroll, and walk back with a Nordic ski package! The home is very comfortable and equipped with everything a family needs. Its location "right on the river" is unparalleled and made even better with its proximity to restaurants, shopping, and night life. I look forward to staying in this cozy home again.

About Montana

The Treasure State certainly lives up to its name, but don't come expecting treasure chests of gold. Rather, Montana's treasures lie in its abundance of natural beauty. As one of the least populated states, Montana's backbone comes from the bonds that unite its colorful residents and the state's rugged landscapes. It is an outdoor lover's paradise, with some of the most accessible and unspoiled wilderness left anywhere in the continental United States.

Some of Montana's most popular attractions include:

  • The battleground of Little Bighorn: Visit this historical site where the epic battle between Native Americans and settlers became a turning point in American history. Reenactments are performed for visitors, and a timeless memorial has been erected to commemorate this important event.
  • Glacier National Park: Without doubt, Glacier National Park Montana is one of the state's top draws. With pristine lakes and towering glaciers, some of the best fly fishing in Montana is in this area, and the park itself is home to some of the most diverse wildlife in the country, including cougars, bears, elk, goats, and grizzlies, who all roam free along the rolling valleys.
  • Yellowstone National Park: One of the most famous National Parks in Montana, Yellowstone spans three states and offers even more expanses of untouched wildlife to explore. This iconic American wonderland is home to geysers, hot springs and some of the world's most impressive natural scenery.
  • Helena: Montana's state capital is a beautiful, welcoming community with a small-town feel. Located in the "Gold West Country" region of the state, Helena is the perfect place to rent a condo and use as a base to explore some of Montana's legendary wilderness.
  • Fairmont Hot Springs: Halfway between Yellowstone and Glacier National Parks, the Fairmont Hot Springs in Montana is one of the most unique attractions in the state. Home to a wealth of day spas, this resort area is a perfect place to visit if you want to mingle with your fellow vacationers.

Montana is an equally attractive destination in summer and winter. Summer offers ideal weather for exploring the outdoors, but in winter, some of the nation's premier winter sports venues are in full swing as some of the best cross-country and downhill skiing in America is available in Montana.

A vacation rental offers convenience, space and privacy. If you're staying in the city, you can rent a condo for the short term or for extended stays, and a cabin is the perfect way to get a firsthand look at the rugged outdoorsy lifestyle the locals live year-round.

If you want to explore the area further, head next door to the Dakotas or trek north to cross the border into Canada.

Clean and beautiful view

This cabin was very clean and had a gorgeous view. However, the furniture needs updating and it could be better stocked. Also, a few windows did not function properly which is important with no AC. Overall we really enjoyed it. … see more
Sheep Mountain Cabin - near West Yellowstone
Spectacular week at Sheep Mountain Cabin!!!

Thia vacation was, without a doubt, one of the best our family has taken. Sheep Mountain Cabin had just what we needed for a comfortable stay, and is a beautiful 30 minute drive to West Yellowstone. Our family enjoyed rafting, ziplining, hiking, horseback riding, and the exquisite beauty that Yellowstone National Park and the Grand Tetons has to offer. Mike B. was so responsive, we had no question unanswered, and his cabin is a gem! We will never forget our week at Sheep Mountain Cabin. Thank you Mike!see more

Hidden Peaceful Gem

What a hidden gem this turned out to be. Firstly, you are welcomed with a bag of local Huckleberry Taffy. Yum!! Pictures online do not do it justice. Has a very welcoming fenced yard for children to play safely. With a lovely relaxing back deck to overlook yard. Soft wind chimes blow in the wind fir peaceful setting. Hidden among the trees, you have privacy from neighbors, which you never hear either. The deer stop by in the early am. Such a treat to watch them. House is 2 story with a wonderful below rumpus room with plenty of room for kids or adults to play. Large TV and full wrap couch. With 2 bedrooms and a full bathroom. Upstairs you’ll find a comply living room with TV and plenty of room for family to gather. Dining area and a fully stocked kitchen! Seriously. You have everything a chef would use in their kitchen. Home is located Close to park entrance and good. Went to whisky Distillery In Coram and then next door is a lively place for a quick lunch, Josephines which serves whiskey drinks using the distillery products. Until are next trip..... Thank you, Nancy for sharing your home. John and Lisasee more
