“Glacier National Park Trip” The owners of the home, Ryan & Sarah, provided us with a beautiful & very clean home. They also provided a lot of extra information on Glacier National Park & the surrounding area. Information on best hikes, other places to visit in the area, favorite restaurants & shopping, etc. The scenery in Glacier is spectacular & the home is conveniently located approximately 20 miles from the West Glacier entrance. My wife & I highly recommend this home & dealing with Ryan & Sarah was extremely easy & pleasant. If you fly into the Glacier Park airport in Kalispell you are only 2 or 3 miles from the home. In our experience this is a great place to stay.

Columbia Falls log cabin

“Fantastic Spot” This is one of the best vacations we have ever had. It was so quiet and peaceful on the lake. we caught fish on the dock every day and did lots of hiking in Glacier National Park. We took the "short-cut" to the Park and that worked out great with only a short drive and lots to see along the way. The cabin is very cute and well stocked...even fishing gear and bear spray to take hiking in the park! We couldn't believe how close we were to the town of Columbia Falls, since it seams you are way out in the wilderness at the cabin. We really enjoyed the great chicken and rib baskets at the "Back Room" restaurant in Columbia falls. We loved watching the eagles and loons on the lake and hiked over to the other lake where there is a huge beaver den and beaver dam. Bill and Eliska provided us with good information and were so easy to work with. Wish we could have stayed longer than 4 days and would love to return.

Minutes From Glacier Park-Super Clean Cabin
Perfect cabin that meets all your needs

The cabin smelled great and was completely clean. All details were covered...hair dryer with diffuser, cooking utensils, coffee, linens, etc. I especially liked the soft water. We enjoyed glacier park during our 3 night stay. The only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is the location to the road. The traffic noise kept me from sleeping well. I'm glad we chose this cabin, we totally enjoyed our mini vacation.see more

Immaculate, Well-Stocked House

The house was spotless and the yard impeccable. The kitchen was better stocked than those of most people I know. I suggest you go to the house to check out the pantry and cupboards before buying groceries and supplies because many of the items you will need are already there. For example, you probably will not need to buy any spices or condiments. In addition, they had several coolers that could be borrowed. The owners were very accessible. They came by at least three times during our week-long stay, but they were not intrusive. We also called them a few times to ask some questions, and they were more than happy to provide information. They will send you a detailed packet of information well before your trip that includes info on the house, restaurants in the area, and day trips. They also have a copy of this at the house so you don’t need to bring it with you. They have laundry detergent and dish soap. All the furniture was very comfortable, including the bedding and the patio furniture. It was relaxing to come “home” after a long day’s hike in Glacier. Almost every evening, we sat on the patio, enjoyed the mountain views, and watched the sun go down. Having an office was nice for the two in our party who wanted to have a “working vacation”. The only problem we had was with the desktop computer. We couldn’t figure out how to pull out the keyboard to a more comfortable position, and once we accessed the internet, we could only access what looked like the home page for the local TV station or newspaper. We were unable to access Google or any other site on the internet. But of course, whenever the owners came by, we didn’t think to ask them about it. I’m sure if we did, they would have worked to solve the problem immediately. Because we all had smart phones or laptop computers and the WiFi worked just fine, we didn’t really need the desktop computer anyway. The house is 35-45 minutes from the West Glacier entrance of Glacier National Park. Be aware that, once you enter the park, there is almost another 45-minute drive from the entrance to Logan’s Pass. Since the parking lot at Logan’s Pass is full by 9:00, you will want to leave home by 7:30 if you are going there. The drive was easy, though, so it didn’t seem as long as it really was. The Super 1 grocery store in Columbia Falls, between the house and the park, is good for buying sandwiches for picnicking in the park. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this house!see more
Aspen Shores Cabin on Spoon Lake near Glacier National Park
What an incredibly relaxing time

From the moment we arrived, to the moment we had to leave, we felt comfortable and relaxed. We took a row in the lake, kicked it in the hammock, watched the crystal clear lake and in general just relaxed. This place made all of those things easy to do. On top of that, its an easy ride into town, and an easy ride over to Glacier National Park. This was our Honeymoon, and we could not have asked for a better place than a quite cabin on the lake. Our worries: On one side of the cabin is another small cabin, and on the other side was a larger cabin. While we heard people arrive at both of these, they did not make any noise outside of that. Weather - We came out in mid-September, while we may have been lucky, the weather was perfect. Cool, but not cold, dry but not without any rain. The downstairs pullout couch is a bit uncomfortable, so if you plan on needing it, be sure to bring an extra blanket or two to put below you.see more
