“Unique and Secluded Tropical Island on the Texas Gulf Coast” We were looking for somewhere new to stay in Texas on the Gulf and were going to try Galveston, but luckily we found the Matagorda Dunes Condos on Matagorda Island before we made our reservations. I inquired about the condo and was pleasantly surprised by a phone call from a very friendly and professional owner who gave me information about Condos 1 and 2. We decided to give it a try because I was really impressed with the owner, Kim, and it was a great decision. The condo was super clean, and everything you could possibly need was supplied. The view from both decks was awesome and included the lagoon and the Gulf Coast. You could hear the sound of the waves day and night. The beach is only a few minutes away and it was clean and beautiful. The birds such as the pink Spoonbills, Seagulls, Egrets, and Pelicans could be seen not only from our deck on the lagoon, but also in many numbers on our drives up and down the beach. My husband and I are hesitant to recommend this place because we want to keep it all to ourselves, but that wouldnt be fair to anyone who has not visited this very unique and wonderful island. We cant say enough about how nice the owner Kim is. She was there from day one to all answer questions, and was basically 'on call' the whole time we were visiting there. A plus also were the three restaurants on the island, gift shops, and a grocery store only minutes away from the condos as well. Do yourself a big favor, contact Kim and stay at either of the condos at Matagorda Dunes. You wont regret it, in fact you will count the days until you can return.

“Enjoyed our stay!” Our family of four stayed here for a little getaway. Conveniently located close to everything and still a pretty good view of the beach. Easy beach access. Condo was clean, no complaints there. Only wish the condo building (villa del sol) took better care of the pool and overall grounds in general.

“Wonderful spot in Austin!” I stayed at this rental in Hyde Park for two weeks in September. It met my expectations and more. The rental was quiet, and well kept. In fact it was spotless inside! The kitchen was basically equipped but I had the essentials for making my own meals. The neighborhood is great and I would go for walks each day in the neighborhood meeting lots of friendly Austinites! Pete is a fantastic property manager and replied very quickly to any concerns I had. This is a great place to stay that is just out of downtown yet close to several restaurants and grocery stores. Also near bus routes if you don't have a car. Loved it. I will be back!

“Awesome location!” The location was perfect for our family's activities! It was just a short drive to Schlitterbahn and the children's museum. The river access was great for early morning and early evening fun!

“Relaxing place to call "home" and perfect location!” Leah and Roland were awesome! The home was stocked with everything we needed to cook a meal, and had a great deck to relax after a day at the beach. The bedrooms were so comfortable too! I loved the decor and the location. My family of 4 enjoyed the Rockport Beach and local restaurants nearby. We will be back soon!

“love love loved!!” This was a beautiful and comfortable stay!! The name suits it very well! Not only do you wake to the waves, but to fall asleep to them is even better!! I loved the simple walk to the beach and the convenience of the pool!! I must admit, being able to watch my husband and kids play on the beach while i watched from the bedroom balcony was by far my favorite!! Love love loved it!! Thanks cheryl!! “NICE” Good times!! The location is amazing - the beach is on the doorstep! This is a great family-friendly condo with a stunning pool and wonderful hot tub. Ben (the owner) even let our dog stay. We'll visit again!
