“Another fabulous vacation on Kauai!” Once again we enjoyed Poipu Shores courtesy of Patricia Bien and her incredible condo! We have stayed in 206a in the past and love it too. 303a seems larger with incredible upgrades and views of the ocean. There is no other place to stay in Kauai, particularly with so many turtles just a stone throw away from patio and pool area. Another benefit is location to beaches and other properties like the Grand Hyatt and restaurants--all walkable! We love this place and will return in the future!!!

“A Getaway For Those adventurous, Expressive Souls!” I came to Suitable Digs for the 20th time or so...this time, with my fairly new boyfriend. We were still in the early stages of getting to know each other and basking in such beautiful and lively surroundings, that I learned some new things about him (one can't help but express themselves openly while visiting Suitable Digs). The interest and the pleasure he took in retro, vintage style items was new to me--and only enhanced by our getting to stay in the unique classic, the Spartan. We were already excited by the incredible vegetable and fruit gardens growing in this desert Eden, alongside the various and fascinating water catchment, solar and other energy-conserving systems. So much to see and take in! But hen we stepped into the Spartan for the first time, wow...he came alive in a new and different way than I had seen before. His eyes gleamed with wonder, like a little boy on the first eve of Chanukah. The trailer was adorned in time period style, authentic in its original form with all the little extras that Lisa had taken the time and painstaking effort to locate and attach, no distance too far or too wide, no fixture unaccounted for. My beau settled in on the couch to read, out loud, several pages of Red Sky at Morning, a 1968 novel by Richard Bradford that takes place in New Mexico. He laughed and reminisced all over again, as he had when he first read it years ago. That evening, we sat in chairs on the patio outside the Spartan, gazing at the bright moonlit sky and feeling dreamy about where we had landed together. I recall the moonlight as it shone into the Spartan and landed on soft pillows, just as the warm morning sunlight welcomed itself into our cozy abode to gently awaken us the next day. Being at Suitable Digs for the 21st time was just as familiar as ever...and at the same time, it was as unexpected and fresh as traveling to a completely unfamiliar exotic destination for the first time. The innovative air that always exists there, remains.

“The best vacation ever at the best villa with the best staff” Alan & Reg, We had a fabulous time at Nutmeg! All six of us loved this villa/property. The ocean view was heavenly. All of the bedroom were great, and the master was simply beautiful. The staff was outstanding! We fell in love with all of them; Ms. P, Carlington, Nataleen, Shereen, Andre and Wilton. They were very professional and all were great at their jobs. Ms. P is an excellent chef. We loved each meal! We plan to retun to Nutmeg next year! We wish we could buy this property. I was told that it would be going on the market soon, however, we are sure that it will be too pricey for us. So, for now, we will just have to visit yearly. “Miramar 403 was very nice!” The staff at Cozumel Seaside Retreats go above and beyond to ensure everything is perfect. Mariana was very helpful and answered our emails promptly. Matias ensured that our condo was in perfect order, and even gave us a ride to the Mega for groceries the morning after our late arrival. He was kind enough to post a letter to a friend in Merida for us and emailed a photo of the letter for confirmation it had been sent. Mariana also arranged our rental car and Matias arranged our dives with Tres Hermanus. We had a great view of the ocean from our bedroom and great views of the sunset. The condo was nicely equipped and a short ride or 20 minute walk to town.

“Great Return Visit to Condominios Miramar” Our fourth consecutive annual visit to Condominios Miramar on the island of Cozumel was consistent with the previous three -- outstanding! We've stayed in three different units in this very small condo complex and while they all vary in design -- from studio one bedrooms to units with more than one level and/or 2-3 bedrooms -- they've all been great. The location is north of the town of San Miguel, a 45-minute or so leisurely walk to the town center. The Miramar condos are spacious, clean, well-maintained and views of the ocean are spectacular. Miramar #201 is perfect for two adults. It's one level with entrance at street level in front and on the second level in back on the ocean side, offering good views of the pool and ocean, with some privacy, too. We eat dinner in town most nights, so we don't use the stove and oven in Miramar #201 much (though have in the past and found the oven instructions to be hard to follow, a minor downside for us but would be helpful for visitors who cook in the condo more often). Note: If you take a taxi to Miramar from town, it's good to let the driver know when you're getting close to the building (English ok, in Spanish even better!). We found many taxi drivers know the bigger properties nearby, but Miramar is new to them. Scuba divers have options with boats that depart from nearby piers or from the marina about 10- to 15-minute walk south. We've dived with AlexScuba (departs from marina, bigger boats) and Pepe Scuba (based in the hotel Coral Princess, small, faster boats) and both were great. And snorkeling just off of the property is convenient and surprisingly good. As always, the hard-working, very friendly housekeeping and property management staff add to the comfort and pleasant experience. We've advised previously that if you stay in any of the condos at Miramar, please be generous with tipping the maids and the maintenance crew. They work so hard and deserve the extra "gracias."
