“Paradise” My husband and I plus 3 children recently returned from our first trip to Orlando, Florida. We stayed in the Villa Esquire. I can't say enough good things about this place! The neighbourhood is beautiful. I spent many hours walking the streets with my 3 children and always felt completely safe. David and Nikki did everything within their power to make our stay comfortable and fun! They called several times just to see if there was anything that they could assist us with. They keep this home in immaculate shape. Everything from the paint to the appliances, bedding, dishes, and electronics are brand new. This home is also spotless and tastefully decorated with tons of personal touches to make you feel right at home. It had everything I could possibly need for my infant including; a brand new stroller, a play pen and high chair to even baby spoons and baby linens. The kitchen is fully equipped to help with all of your cooking needs big or small. I even found a sewing kit when I ripped the hem on my dress! The layout of this home is perfect for several families. There is two master suites; one upstairs and one down. So even though we had 3 different groups in the home their was still tons of privacy. The game room was awesome! My kids and husband spent many evenings enjoying the x box, pool table etc. We also spent hours on end enjoying the heated pool! The kids loved it so much we had a hard time convincing them to leave the house to hit the parks! Disney is a close 15 minutes, Sea World 25, Busch Gardens 1 hour, and Cape Canaveral Beach a hair over an hour. There are also loads of restaurants nearby such as Olive Garden, Long Horn, Chilies, and applebee's. Plus a choice choice of shopping centres and outlets. the grocery, post office and Walmart were literally a five minute drive down the street. We absolutely loved Florida and this beautiful home and hope to return soon. Thank you David and Nikki for making our stay perfect and our trip one we will never forget!

“Superb orlando villa - fantastic family home away from home” This was our first ever booking with HomeAway/VRBO and we were immediately drawn by the description, photos and other reviews on the site for Lakeview House. We decided to go for it (a family of 3 adults, 2 children) and the booking process was seamless - Derek, the owner, was in constant touch and with very useful information ahead of arrival. Although our flight from the UK had a bit of a glitch (meaning we arrived in the dead of night) we found the place without issue. There is always a nagging doubt with 'owner direct' type sites that pictures can be taken to flatter, or camera angles used to conceal. However, this is completely without warrant in this case and I can categorically guarantee that what you see in the pictures is absolutely what you get in real life! Think that wonderful vista over the lake behind Mickey and Minnie framing the fountain is an illusion? Absolutely not, it's that fantastic. Think the pictures of the pool and spa look too good to be true? Well believe it, we enjoyed them to the full. Games room really that capable? Oh yes, my son and I enjoyed the pool table and the air hockey immensely. This villa was perfect, and as travellers a long way from home, it was a joy to stay in. Location was excellent - to the west end of the '192' so great for driving to the parks and in a quiet and tidy residential street. As there is no-one immediately to the right of this villa (there's a small 'inlet' from the lake) there is a 'semi-detached' feel to it which adds to the sense of open-ness and space when out the back. Facilities were superb, kitchen well appointed, TVs everywhere. Missing 'ice hockey' pucks were spotted before we arrived and dealt with proactively - this villa is clearly well managed and Derek gave us a ring mid-stay to check everything was ok. Beds were comfy and air con and fans meant the villa was always a welcome and refreshing haven at the end of tough day in the parks. It was an intense two weeks for us as a family, as we were doing the Disney and Universal 'thing' to the max but the villa was everything we hoped for and more. We whole-heartedly recommend this villa either as a base for doing the Orlando 'Madness' or simply as somewhere to stay 24/7 and soak up the sun quietly. We will certainly return, God-willing, and if you're reading this and tempted to book, go ahead and bon vacances! Thanks you Derek and Julie for sharing your home with us. “Amazing Horse Property 10 Min from Beach” I traveled to the Ranch by The Sea with my family. We had a large group with age range from age 5 to 75 years of age. This is the perfect destination for any age. Bob the owner was a terrific host. He showed us everything we needed to know about how to use everything on the property. He also gave us suggestions of restaurants, bars, and best places to go to the beach which was very helpful since we were not familiar with the area. Anything we needed we just had to text or call him and he was available. There is plenty to do on the property no matter what age you are. There are many private rooms with tvs if you are just looking to relax and have some quite time. There are also many common areas to have fun with others to play pool, arcade games, ping pong etc and not disturb anyone else. There is a large patio with a fantastic view overlooking the pool and San Diego. Every evening around sunset you would see hot air balloons in the sky that would take off around Del Mar Race Track. There are also great sunsets to the west that fill the sky with vibrant orange and pink colors that everyone loved! Both the kids and adults loved the pool and hot tub. There is a shallow end and a diving board so a little bit for everyone. There is plenty of seating by the pool to watch the kids or just lounge and kick back and sun tan. If you are a horse lover this property is a must. There are horses on property with a large riding arena. The owner gave both kids and adults very fun and informative riding lessons. He is very knowledgeable about horses and riding. He is fun but informative and safe all at the same time. So whether you are an experienced rider or first timer everyone can have a great time. The house is very large with many different bedrooms. It is great because you can have a large group but everyone can have piece and quite and their own space which we all thought was great. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a great place to stay in the San Diego area. We definitely didn't want to leave and will be coming back soon to do it again.

“Awesome vacation.” We were very impressed with this home. We had all the comforts of home. Spacious area, quite neighborhood. We enjoyed the hot tub and pool. It was a short drive without much traffic to Disney. We would recommend this home to others.

“Just perfect for our large (and growing) family!” This home was absolutely exceptional for our family vacation! There was plenty of room for our children and grandchildren! This home is close to Universal Studios/Harry Potter Land. However, there was really no need to leave. The pool/hot tub was enjoyed by everyone. The larger pool on the grounds was a favorite of our littlest granddaughter! The home was well-equipped with everything we needed, from plenty of towels, to pots/pans/slow cooker...We have rented vacation homes many times. This was one of our favorites!

“Budget friendly, spacious home” We loved staying only a few short miles from Disney in a home that could accommodate our large family. Parking was very tight, but we managed. The home offered plenty towels, bedding, dishes, flatware, etc. for our large crew. I was, however, glad I packed some cookware as it would have taken a much longer time to feed a large group with the small cookware provided. I was impressed with how no one had to take cold showers as the hot water heater was able to keep up with everyone taking showers for church on Sunday morning. The air conditioning worked perfectly & the owner had recently purchased a brand new grill. We did have difficulty getting some of the electric outlets to work and one of the overhead lights did not work at all in one of the bedrooms. There were a few issues with ants and roaches when we first arrived, but we purchased bait plus the exterminator came on her regularly monthly visit while we were there & took care of the issue. I guess the biggest inconvenience was that there were no shelves on the refrigerator door. The house would have been perfect had refrigerator had those shelves or there had been a second refrigerator in the garage/game room. It was inconvenient to have to go grocery shopping every 2-3 days because the refrigerator would not hold enough food for a large group. The washer & dryer, however, were huge & plenty big! There were a few other minor issues, but we decided we would rather live with them than have to stay at the house & wait for the management company to come & deal with them. Overall, I would recommend this home to anyone. The owner is obviously trying to keep the house up.
