Review #4627412 Fantastic Villa Our family spent two unforgettable weeks in late July and early august at Calicaribe, celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary, We can't say enough about Calicaribe. We loved the villa -- its layout and tasteful decor. The views of St Thomas, other islands, and Cruz Bay from the property, especially the guest house and the pool area, are breathtaking. Although the heat and humidity were high during the peak hours of each day, temperatures and humidity lowered late in the afternoon so that we could enjoy wine and cheese and the view, including spectacular sunsets, on the patio and dinner on the verandah. Pictures of the property on various websites don't do it justice. Calicaribe is much better than we expected. It is clean and very well maintained. Calicaribe is blessed with an excellent local property manager, Steve Black, who has lived in Cruz Bay for 25 years and is a constructive civic activist. Whenever we needed anything, Steve was prompt in his response. St John is truly paradise. We were fortunate to have a rental jeep to get around the island and to have our daughter and her partner do all the driving. The roads are challenging because the island is very hilly and the roads have very sharp turns, which means that one does not need to worry about exceeding the 20 mph speed limit. Opportunities for snorkeling and scuba diving abound. The beaches (St John has 39 of them) are beautiful. We swam at four of them: Trunk Bay, Little Lameshur Bay, Hawksnest Bay, and Maho Bay. We ate out only three times because my daughter's partner loves to cook, and having dinner on the verandah was a pleasant experience. The Fish Trap and Zozo's are excellent restaurants in Cruz Bay, although the latter may be too expensive for some folks. We highly recommend a sojourn at Calicaribe. You'll get plenty of bang for your bucks.

“Even better the pictures/videos portrayed.” Sanda,Steve and the staff were very helpful from start to finish. We absolutely loved the house and would not hesitate to recommend it to friends. It is a beautiful Colonial home, decorated to a high standard and offers total privacy. This was our first visit to Mexico and were unsure what to expect. Merida is a fascinating, safe and friendly City and we will return soon, When we do we will return to Casablanca Living for sure. “A little paradise!” I stayed at Sophie's house in Merida twice with some friends. The house is very beautiful, and huge! The two rooms are really far apart, and both have toilets, which is perfect for privacy. The kitchen has everything you need to cook, and there's a nice dinning room. But the real highlight of the house is the backward. There's a part of it that has a ceiling and hammocs, which is perfect to relax when the sun is too hot, and even when it rains. And to pool is amazing too! Apart from that, the house is well-located and you can easily walk to the center and the shops and markets to buy some food. I had a great time there both times and wouldn't hesitate to go back anytime!

“Zen Like Dream...” We did not actually stay at the property, but rather took a tour to see it before our next vacation in Aruba. On the simplest level, the place looks amazing -- very spacious, beautiful simple furnishings... it just feels relaxing. Feels like the perfect space to connect with family and friends -- modern hip inner city hotel meets beach front property. It has 5 bedrooms and 1 room that you can make into a 6th. Unreal views -- I can't wait have some icy cold Amstel Brites on the Veranda and watch the sunset. Things I am looking forward to: 1) The views 2) My wife is amped that there are two stainless frig/freezers and a large contemp kitchen 3) The swim up bar at the pool 4) Flat screen TVs everywhere 5) Wifi so I can stay connected to the unfortunate ones who won't be with us. 6) The awesome dinning room (why can't my dining room look like this?) 7) Bathrooms were spacious, clean and "Spa Like" 8) OK, the list is getting too long -- but I can't wait. All prior trips to Aruba for 20 years I have stayed in hotels -- I think staying in this place will really notch it up a level.

“Exceptional Unique Experience” February / March 2013 Just spent a fabulous two weeks at the penthouse. We had been searching for unique accommodations in the PV area and the penthouse delivered beyond our expectations! It is super chill...The combination of its location, privacy, security and serenity was exactly what we were looking for. Many days we had a hard time leaving the rooftop to go do anything else. Being located in the Nuevo Vallarta area you are well situated to visit other locales north such as Bucerias, Sayulita and San Pancho as well as being a convenient bus ride south into downtown PV. As we had friends staying both north and south it proved to be a perfect HQ for our visit. The 270 degree view was an added bonus as there was always something to see from our perch on the rooftop. Dana was an absolutely fabulous host, his thoughtful and personal attention during our stay went far beyond the "call of duty". He was an incredible resource for information about the area and a fun person to spend time time. We definitely feel we have made a new friend. We would love to return as we think we have discovered the perfect spot in the PV area and would highly recommend the penthouse to anyone looking for a truly special experience. “Sandos Playacar is Amazing!” My family - me, my husband and two kids - just returned from an amazing week at the Sandos Playacar in Playa Del Carmen. We had such a fantastic time and LOVED Sandos. Everything was great - the food, the staff, the facilities, the entertainment and more! Sandos is a truly beautiful resort - the hacienda was spacious, clean and had all the amenities we needed. The food at the al a carte restaurants was especially good, although we enjoyed the buffet breakfasts very much. The staff bent over backwards to help us with everything. The beach section was beautiful with plenty of comfortable lounge chairs, beds and hammocks to relax in. A short walk down the beach-2 minutes- brought us to a snorkeling area that was filled with tropical fish. The evening entertainment was top notch! All of our plans were booked through Georgette Flamm who provided detailed information and assistance every step of the way. She provided tons of info about the rooms and the resort, reserved transportation from the airport and gave us other valuable tips about our visit to Sandos. She responded to all of my questions immediately - I really was impressed how easy she made it! I would absolutely recommend Georgette Flamm and Sandos to anyone!!
