“Paradise Found in Downtown Sarasota” Absolutely charming, fully redone/ upgraded bungalow close to everything Sarasota has to offer. This was the third year running my wife & I have stayed at the wonderful home located minutes from Sarasota's best beaches, restaurants & shopping. We fully intend to return again next year! The two bedroom home is in pristine condition. Beautifully decorated, lovely hardwood flooring throughout with a fully stocked (appliances, crockery, pots/pans, cutlery, etc...) kitchen & renovated bathroom. Everything you need is provided, just arrive & settle-in. A huge projection screen in the living room, should you want to have an at-home movie night (rental Dvd's a 5-minute walk away @ Publix). There's also a regular flat-screen TV in the living room, as well as a wall-mounted TV in the bedroom. The backyard is, personally, my favourite part of the home. A screen-in lanai to eat in & a beautifully manicured backyard to relax in under the tiki hut or under the palm trees. There are a few seating areas throughout the backyard. Find the space you like the best, sit-back & relax with a cool cocktail- very civilized & very beautiful. You'll feel like you're in the Caribbean, not Florida in this backyard. Maureen & Pat, your hosts who, very conveniently, live right next door have provided everything you need, including all the beach chairs, umbrellas, beach towels, etc...to take along with you to Sarasota's beautiful beaches. Maureen has also provided tons of literature about the area in the house- restaurant menus, local mags, maps- everything. Maureen & Pat are always happy to suggest restaurants, beaches, shopping, golf, etc. They know Sarasota well, are friendly & happy to help in any way they can to ensure you have a wonderful stay. My wife & I can honestly say we love this property, have encountered no negatives about the place in three years of week-long stays & look-forward to our time there each year. We recommend this lovely home to everyone.

“Great location. Walk out your door on to the beach.” We like to stay in private homes rather than condos. This one was perfect. Quiet and very private. Could use a few updates but was very welcoming and spotless.

“A nice quiet holiday stay.” The place was perfect for our needs, a nice quiet holiday house in a friendly neighbourhood. A short drive to several very nice beaches and restaurants as well as having a nice little pool in the complex and a small back yard made our stay with 3 small children very fun and restful. Cathy was very responsive to any questions or issues we had and usually responded within hours to our emails. She made use feel very welcome and that she really wanted our stay to be the best possible. We will defiantly consider returning again in the future.

“Great Place to stay !!!!!!!!!!!!” We were impressed with the nice house ! The pool and lanai were a big hit with the kids. The kitchen is very nice. The only thing we didn't like, was somebody stole one of our bikes from the carport. But we would highly recommend this rental home.

“Accommodations were very agreeable.” We were in Florida as a pre-anniversary trip and a nostalgia one having visited the Clearwater area for 13 years with our last trip being in 2013. Our main form of entertainment was to attend three spring training baseball games.

“Traveling grandmother, with grandchildren, enjoyed stay” When I choose a place to stay, I have five basic requirements. I want to feel secure and safe. The location has to be convenient to the airport and local attractions, or places we plan to visit. It also has to be clean, comfortable and affordable. This Songbird Property had all this and many extras, including a new toothbrush for my grandson after he conveniently forgot to pack his. My grandchildren and I enjoyed our stay in Tampa!

“Awsome Home Away From Home” Just can't say enough good things about this rental. This is the second year that I've stayed here and I lengthened my stay. Will be coming back next year and staying a bit longer again as well. Will probably continue at that length for as long as I am able. The house is wonderful with all the amenities necessary for either a short or an extended stay. Owners have gone out of their way to make everything enjoyable and I now count them as some of my very best friends in the St Pete area. Location is excellent with a relatively short driving (or biking) distance to the beach or many other points of interest. It is situated in a wonderful, quiet and extremely friendly neighborhood. The worst part of staying here is leaving.

“The house was perfect!” Upon arriving at Stsrfish we were so pleased with Heike and Reinhardt. They answered all of our questions and gave us great advice on the area and things to see and do. I had to call them late one evening because the smoke detector battery was dying and therefore beeping every 10 seconds or so. They came right over to replace battery and therefore fix the problem. The home was fabulous. We loved everything about it. The only negative - We would have enjoyed the use of a boat as we own one at home. For us, the location was too quiet. We did travel to the Dek bar and Matlashe (spelling?), but we would have enjoyed closer nightlife. Best - the house in general. Pool was awesome! And Heike and Reinhardt. Least - the location.

“Beautiful condo, close proximity to beach, relaxing and lovely stay!!” We had such a lovely time at the condo. The owners are incredibly wonderful to communicate with and so gracious and attentive to needs. The place was spotless and beautifully decorated. It truly felt at home and was very convenient access to the beach area. Only less than 10 minutes drive. We had a wonderful stay, everything was in wonderful condition and we were extremely comfortable! The pool was lovely and a perfect temperature. And the condo was decorated in a beautiful way and was very lovely to stay in. Pamela and Kevin have truly made it a gorgeous and homey feel and we were so lovely to interact with and we had everything we could possibly need!! Thank you for a wonderful stay :)

“Great location and great hosts!” We had to be in Tampa on and off for 3 months last year for medical reasons. My husband and I were traveling with an infant and comfort, location, and safety were huge priorities for us. Mohawk manor was all of the above and more. It became our home away from home. The hosts (sweet family) were just a text a way if we needed something but were extremely respectful of our privacy. The neighborhood is great for taking walks and is right around the corner from Starbucks and also literally right off of I75 so you can get anywhere you need to go quickly. We love Tampa and love Mohawk manor and are were so thankful for our time there. There is a park a short walk away...we loved Goody Goody burger in Hyde Park less than 10 minutes drive. The taco bar is also delicious in Hyde Park. There is also a ramen place right around the corner for the house (delicious) not good for infants though! We could write a book on Tampa. We stayed in multiple rentals and areas and this was by far the best. Stay here!
