“Great vacation” A very pleasant experience. The house is spacious with a full kitchen. The pool is very clean and nice. Place is great - most of popular attractions are located within 10-20 minutes. Owner was very hospitable and kind.

“It's Delightful, It's Delicious, It's De-lovely!” One would think that Cole Porter wrote those lyrics after visiting Ye Olde Manor House! The owners, Karen Fulbright-Anderson and John anderson, are a delightful, warm, welcoming couple. They are so friendly and engaging that you feel at home almost as soon as you arrive. And their home reminds me of an English Country Cottage with the many comfortable seating areas and nooks and crannies expected. There is also a beautiful green lawn with several flowering beds and many lovely spots for sitting. But the piece de resistance of the public areas is the year-round indoor/outdoor pool, with a depth of no more than 5 feet, which makes it perfect for swimmers and non-swimmers (me) alike. First, and most importantly, each guest room has it's own private bath stocked with lovely smelling potions and lotions, big, soft, fluffy bath towels and anything else that you might need. Second, the rooms are lovely. I stayed in the 'Oak Room', which is filled with antique oak furniture and is perfect for one person. There is a chair for reading, a beautiful antique trunk that you can sit on use for your luggage and antique lamps, doilies and trinkets. There were two other guest rooms nearby, but I slept like a baby and never heard anyone else! The breakfast that John and Karen offer negates the need for lunch! You have a choice of Vegan, Vegetarian or the Meat and Dairy eaters breakfast, and everything they prepare is delicious! Finally, there are plenty of other things to do nearby-walking around the Lake, hiking, visiting the quaint Town of Elkhorn, attending concerts and, my favorite, antique fairs!! My long weekend at Ye Olde Manor House was so enjoyable and relaxing that it left me feeling as though I'd spent a week at a spa. Writing about it is making me feel the same way all over again. I can't wait to visit again!!!

“Great base for Florida Holiday” The house and location were great. The heated pool was perfect for our children who would have spent the entire holiday in it if we had let them. The service was great and communication from the owner just right. We would stay here again if we returned to the area.

“Superb orlando villa - fantastic family home away from home” This was our first ever booking with HomeAway/VRBO and we were immediately drawn by the description, photos and other reviews on the site for Lakeview House. We decided to go for it (a family of 3 adults, 2 children) and the booking process was seamless - Derek, the owner, was in constant touch and with very useful information ahead of arrival. Although our flight from the UK had a bit of a glitch (meaning we arrived in the dead of night) we found the place without issue. There is always a nagging doubt with 'owner direct' type sites that pictures can be taken to flatter, or camera angles used to conceal. However, this is completely without warrant in this case and I can categorically guarantee that what you see in the pictures is absolutely what you get in real life! Think that wonderful vista over the lake behind Mickey and Minnie framing the fountain is an illusion? Absolutely not, it's that fantastic. Think the pictures of the pool and spa look too good to be true? Well believe it, we enjoyed them to the full. Games room really that capable? Oh yes, my son and I enjoyed the pool table and the air hockey immensely. This villa was perfect, and as travellers a long way from home, it was a joy to stay in. Location was excellent - to the west end of the '192' so great for driving to the parks and in a quiet and tidy residential street. As there is no-one immediately to the right of this villa (there's a small 'inlet' from the lake) there is a 'semi-detached' feel to it which adds to the sense of open-ness and space when out the back. Facilities were superb, kitchen well appointed, TVs everywhere. Missing 'ice hockey' pucks were spotted before we arrived and dealt with proactively - this villa is clearly well managed and Derek gave us a ring mid-stay to check everything was ok. Beds were comfy and air con and fans meant the villa was always a welcome and refreshing haven at the end of tough day in the parks. It was an intense two weeks for us as a family, as we were doing the Disney and Universal 'thing' to the max but the villa was everything we hoped for and more. We whole-heartedly recommend this villa either as a base for doing the Orlando 'Madness' or simply as somewhere to stay 24/7 and soak up the sun quietly. We will certainly return, God-willing, and if you're reading this and tempted to book, go ahead and bon vacances! Thanks you Derek and Julie for sharing your home with us. “Fantastic” We could not speak more highly of this beautiful and well positioned villa. The managing agents are brilliant and nothing is too much trouble. The pool was always warm and inviting. We had the best holiday, largely due to the fact that out accommodation was worry free and great for the quiet days. Thanks to all involved and will definitely be coming again. The Whole are is perfect Oct a getaway, things to do places To shop,eat or just cuddle in with a fire. We will Definetly be returning as soon as we can.:)))

“Fantastic holiday villa” Communication with owners was fantastic from enquiry to booking and return home. The villa was luxurious and we had a fantastic family stay, from relaxing at the villa in the pool to visiting local theme parks, location was great , quiet estate and handy for local amenities!!! We would definitely visit again, very spacious, excellent facilities including washing machine, dishwasher, plenty of storage and bedrooms were fantastic. Games room was a real hit with the kids along with the pool. We all really enjoyed the villa.

“Great location. Wonderful plce for a family gathering.” Our family of 11 stayed through the New Year's holiday. What a wonderful place. There was plenty of room and the house is so big that there were little nooks to get away from the crowd if someone wanted quiet reading time. The location is perfect, just 1/2 block from the Main Street in Lake Placid. We walked down to the bottom of the hill to go on a dogsled ride and cross country ski on the lake. The home is 5 minutes from the Olympic Center and 15 from Whiteface Mountain. There is so much to do in Lake Placid. We ran out of time before running out of things to do. Grocery stores were conveniently located and on one of the frigid evenings we picked up the most wonderful Italian meals from a take out place just down the street. This location had it all!

“Worth It!!!” Our family stayed at Westgate Lakes for one week during Spring Break. We had a four bedroom condo and the space was fabulous!!! We were more than impressed with the resort staff and all the ammenities. The location was also very excellent and so easy to find and so close to the attractions we wanted to visited. The resort was very clean in all areas and very safe and secure for our family.

“Thoroughly Impressed” My stay at Casa Ceiba was simply relaxing, fun, and adventurous. The house is brand new, very clean, and well designed with 3 bedrooms, each with their own porch, a nice living room, and gourmet kitchen. The house has tile floors throughout and a wooden ceiling design that catches your eye as soon as you walk in. We enjoyed a spectacular view while hanging out in the pool and hot tub. Pool and house were cleaned every day, no issues! We were greeted each morning by a charming woman who took great care of us during our stay, cooking us gourmet breakfasts and dinners and treating us so very kindly. Nearby town of La Fortuna was quaint and plentiful of our needs and included a coffee house for which we went to a few times and enjoyed the best cup of coffee I ever had. Our Zip Lining adventure was quite exhilarating and within 10 minutes of the house. Our hike up the very well maintained Cerro Chato Volcano in nearby La Fortuna was the most challenging hike ever but I enjoyed every minute! We also visited one of the many hot springs which are located nearby and just enjoyed a great afternoon of relaxation and beautiful atmosphere. While we drove by many other rental properties in the area, I think our rental was in the best area, with the best view, and offered the most amenities. I highly recommend this rental and I plan to revisit next year.

“Great property. Highly recommended.” This property is even nicer than it appears in the photographs. The house is clean, comfortable, open and airy. The kitchen is contemporary and well appointed. The master bedroom is a tranquil retreat with its high ceilings, plush bed, solarium and beautiful en-suite bathroom. The living room/dining area are bright and have nice views of the adjoining golf course. The pool area is nicely landscaped and is a great place to enjoy coffee in the morning or dinner in the evening. The neighborhood is quiet and safe. My family and I had a terrific stay here.

“Wow! You'll love the Red Sunset!” Are you looking for a luxury guesthouse near Lake Arenal and Arenal Volcano? If so, look no further and book yourself into the Red Sunset. My husband and I, along with six friends, spent a week in March there. We are so glad we did! We found the accommodations to be everything they were advertised and more. The views are amazing and the house, pool house and grounds will give you plenty of opportunities to relax and explore. While the guesthouse is excellent, the very best feature is the owner/operator Patrick. Patrick met with us each day to help us plan activities and make reservations with the best tour operators. His local knowledge and recommendations were spot on each day, and his help was invaluable. The breakfast provided each morning was a highlight unto itself. Come prepared to eat well – you won’t be disappointed. We’ve never had meals of this quality at similar style lodgings. We also took advantage of the optional evening Chef services. While there were several great places to eat in the Lake Arenal area, all of which were recommended to us by Patrick, you won’t beat the meals prepared by Patrick and his wife. Our favorite was the Chicken Parmesan – sorry, Mom, but it was the best we’ve had anywhere! The Red Sunset was the perfect place for our Costa Rica vacation. We arrived as guests and soon felt like family. We’re glad we chose the Red Sunset!

“A very welcoming home.” Our second stay and as great as the first time. A decorated Christmas tree greeted us, which was very nice. There was a bottle of wine to celebrate the New Year. The heated pool and hot tub were great. The home was near shopping and it didn't take us long to drive to the attractions. All in all we all enjoyed our stay in this very comfortable home. “Fantastic facility with equally wonderful hospitality” The facility was rustically beautiful, clean, spacious and charming. Both Dan and Loraine were kind and met every one of our needs. The kitchen was filled with every conceivable appliance in perfect condition. We could not have had a better facility for the days we stayed. The beauty of the Wisconsin countryside was visible from every room. Also Dan was very gracious to show some of our relatives his farm and the deer.
