“It's the best beach in Florida!” If you want to stay at a plush yet reasonably priced condo on the water, Vistas on the Gulf is the place for you! Very clean facility with pool, hot tub, exercise room and oh what a view! The staff is great too. We've stayed one week and most recently last fall two weeks...I didn't want to go home...this was it!

“Comfort and Convenience” We only stayed for 2 nights, but would not hesitate to rent here again. The location on St. Pete Beach was perfect. Even though there was temporary beach dredging going on in front of the condo this did not ruin our stay. The access to the beach was very convenient and there were less people and more room at this end, away from the larger hotels. The accomodations were just as pictured. Beautifully updated - everything clean as could be. All the conveniences were there and in working order. We look forward to the next time we can book a visit.

“Great location, clean, lots of room and had everything we needed.” The location is right across the street from the beach, and right next store from the great restaurants & bars. The property was well maintained, the pool area was nice clean. Overall a very good stay, and would do it again.

St Pete Beach was St Petersburg Beach until 1957 when it was joined with three others to form St Petersburg City. In 1994, it became St Pete Beach. The north beach area is called Pass-A-Grille after Cuban fishermen who sat and grilled fish there. It was also here, back at the turn of the century, that residents first set up home in the area. It became an official town in 1911 and three years later electricity arrived.
What to do in St Pete Beach
Get the boat shuttle from Merry Pier to Shell Key where you can go beach combing, snorkeling and bird watching. Another fine snorkeling destination is the ruins at Egmont Key.
Drive 15 minutes to Fort Desoto Park for some kayaking, bike riding or even to fish on the pier.
Go and take a look around the gorgeous Art Deco style Don CeSar Hotel - the only one of its kind on the entire Gulf of Mexico.
Visit the Historic Corey Avenue Shopping District for some extensive retail therapy.
Swim with the fishes at the RunFish Grill by snorkeling in the giant 33,500-gallon tank. There you could touch fins with a nurse shark, green moray eel, cobia, snook and other fish with names you've never heard of before.
Head to the Gulf Beaches Historical Museum which this year (2017) celebrates its centenary. It's located in Pass-A-Grille's first church and archives the island's colorful history.

If you're hiring a car, it's worth remembering the main street here is a four-lane road with many traffic lights.
Some of the bars and restaurants can be pretty noisy at night, particularly on the main Gulf Boulevard.
Don't miss the tiny - and quiet - Pass-A-Grille Beach with its beautiful sands and historic legacy.
Get around on the Suncoast Beach Trolley - you can get it as far along as Clearwater Beach and jump on and off when you feel like it. There's a trolley every 30 minutes from 5.05am to 10.10pm daily and until midnight on Friday and Saturday.
