“Well-kept, well-stocked, very cute cottage with excellent host” We rented for 4 people (myself, spouse, 2 adult daughters) to be near family for Thanksgiving and needed a place close to my relatives where I could also cook my "assigned dishes". Everything was as expected - cottage and on-line pix match. Décor is perfect cottage décor and things are nice/well-kept (up to date cottage styling, some eclectic art, etc). I brought items from home for cooking (eg mini food processor/some pots and pans) but didn't really need to - the cottage kitchen was well stocked with decent quality items. The host (Marta) was fantastic! Very flexible, fast response to all questions, left some really nice and unexpected amenities (snacks, coffee, bottle of wine) and instructions/support were outstanding. It was cold/rainy the whole time and this wasn't intended to be a "beach" vacation, but if you're looking for lakefront/walk out onto the beach, this isn't a lakefront property per se. The cottage faces the lake (you can see it), but to get there you'd have to walk through the yard, cross North Shore street, cross the small park lawn area (which seemed to be on a bit of a bluff), etc.

“A wonderful place for renewal” Olga and Pat's home in South Haven is exactly that..a haven of lovely peace and quiet, but with wonderful options nearby. Their home is decorated by Olga with her incredible sense of taste and practicality, fully stocked with every amenity that one could wish, plus super comfy beds. I love the reading nook adjacent to the master bedroom, a cozy spot on rainy days. Location is perfect; two short blocks to the lake and beaches; also close to town and nearby restaurants and markets. The property is exquisitely landscaped, with a backyard that offers a variety of activities. Olga and Pat are a down-to-earth couple, friendly and very accommodating. We absolutely loved Sabina's Sandcastle and hope to return soon.
