“Great Location” My family just spent 8 days in Nassau at Ocean Paradise. It was a fantastic location for a relaxing beach vacation. We swam in the ocean every day and enjoyed the fabulous views/ The house was in good shape and very well suited to families.I have used Vrob for many years and Catherine was a great hostess. We will definitely book this house again.

“Relaxing - Fantastic location- Great waves!” Great location on beach access road. Large individual units are great for either renting individually or together with large group. The units are nearly identical, and both are large enough to easily hold 6 people. Each unit is two bedrooms and two full bathrooms plus the living room furniture quickly converts to beds. The kitchen was well stocked. There is an outdoor charcoal & wood grill. In the early am I liked to take a short walk or go to the roof top to listen and watch the howler monkeys and all of the birds. The pool area always became a relaxing lunch hideaway in the afternoon heat. There is a very large table where we could take our time eating having drinks, and relaxing while keeping an eye on the kids floating in the pool. There is also a very nice outdoor beach restaurant and bar right at the end of the road on the beach. We had so much fun surfing, boogieboarding, snorkeling, & exploring. The perfect riding waves at this spot were endless. Even when it looked fairly flat, eventually a nice set would roll in. I recommend bringing flip flops for walking the beach road as you can go barefoot but the sand near the top of the beach gets very hot in the afternoon sun. We have stayed at a few places in the area, but will definitely be returning to Sandy Bottoms!

“Most enjoyable tropical get away” We stayed in the Cranford's Toucan Suite. Our friends stayed in the upper level suite. The house sits on pristine jungle - the sound and sight of rare birds is a daily occurrence. We could easily walk to the river, explore the grounds which abound with exotic plants.Toucan Suite is the larger of the two units and is fully equipped with linens, kitchen utensils. We were able to borrow and exchange with our upstairs companions for the items that we needed (juicer, coffee grinder, garlic press) but it would be nice to have both kitchens equally stocked. The stove and refrigerator worked well. The issues that we had with staying at the Toucan Suite would be that the fans need to be upgraded. There are two ceiling fans that function well, although the "blue bedroom" fan makes too much noise to sleep through. There were two portable fans; one of them was okay but the other one barely moved the blades and eventually went comatose. Fortunately our friends in the upper unit had powerful ceiling fans and two super powerful portable fans and they lent us one which saved us! I strongly suggest the Cranfords upgrade the fans in the Toucan Suite. The lovely wooden doors that lead from the main floor to the porch area need to be fixed. They are off their track so we were unable to close them when the hot eastern sun shone through. The house would be much cooler if these functioned well. Blondie and Michael have a sign asking that we remove our shoes before entering and I complied with this request the first night. I found the floor really dirty and in the evening the ants, frogs and other insects would come in so we kept our shoes on. The house could use a good cleaning and some general upkeep. The upstairs suite seemed cleaner and because of the fans, cooler. The views from the upstairs suite are to die for. As the Cranfords note, the Internet seldom works consistently. Overall, we enjoyed our stay very much and highly recommend the Toucan Suite.

“Sandos Playacar is Amazing!” My family - me, my husband and two kids - just returned from an amazing week at the Sandos Playacar in Playa Del Carmen. We had such a fantastic time and LOVED Sandos. Everything was great - the food, the staff, the facilities, the entertainment and more! Sandos is a truly beautiful resort - the hacienda was spacious, clean and had all the amenities we needed. The food at the al a carte restaurants was especially good, although we enjoyed the buffet breakfasts very much. The staff bent over backwards to help us with everything. The beach section was beautiful with plenty of comfortable lounge chairs, beds and hammocks to relax in. A short walk down the beach-2 minutes- brought us to a snorkeling area that was filled with tropical fish. The evening entertainment was top notch! All of our plans were booked through Georgette Flamm who provided detailed information and assistance every step of the way. She provided tons of info about the rooms and the resort, reserved transportation from the airport and gave us other valuable tips about our visit to Sandos. She responded to all of my questions immediately - I really was impressed how easy she made it! I would absolutely recommend Georgette Flamm and Sandos to anyone!!

“Quiet relaxation” We absolutely loved our stay! The condo is on the third floor, so there’s great views of the grounds, and a walking path to the ocean and pier. The Plantation was extremely quiet, and the people we did come across were welcoming and friendly. The condo was clean, cozy, stocked with necessary kitchen and even toiletries for the bathroom! That was a pleasant surprise. We spent most of our time sitting on the screened porch listening to the fountains and birds. The owner is very responsive to texts and emails. We definitely recommend this as a vacation spot, and will be back.

“This is a gorgeous and spacious lake home with plenty of amentities for adults and child. 5 Stars!!!!” This property is on a gorgeous location on top of a small hill. The view of the lake from the house is breathtaking. Our group enjoyed our stay thoroughly and we took full advantage of the amenities in the property like out door fire pit, hammock, boats/kayak allowed by the home-owner to be used by us. The house has enough space--we were a group of 9 people and the space was ample however there is only one shower so that might be a limitation. the kitchen was very spacious and had all the stuff needed for cooking. It would have been nice if there was a functional grill for using outdoors--the one that was there was kind of old and did not work very well. There was some strange odor in the dishwasher but that might be because of its limited usage. Overall, this place is highly recommended for vacation stay. The owners were really nice and friendly and the view and location is absolutely spectacular! My Response Thank you for your kind words. I do want to say that we have replaced the outdoor grill. I'm sorry you had trouble with it. I checked the dishwater also but could not smell or see anything in the trap. We disconnected the plumbing to examine and clean. Whatever the odor was, it's gone. “Great Tradition” We just returned from our third college retreat at Moose Hollow Lodge and could not ask for a better experience. The location is convenient yet secluded and serene. The lodge itself is comfortable and provides so much for entertainment, that several of our group never ventured out of the cabin- who needs go carts when you have Ms. Pacman! Not only was the lodge wonderful, but the staff was great and understanding. I recommend Moose Hollow to groups and will definitely be returning next winter.
