Description
The 'Art and Bike' is a very stylish downtown studio flat with easy access to public transport facilities. The apartment serves as a painter's studio and the walls are adorned with the most recent paintings of the artist. The apartment is highly recommended to guests who appreciate a place with a truly unique appearance and feel. Suitable for 4 people (2 + 2). You can use the free bicycles!
The apartment:
This fully renovated air-conditioned apartment is situated on the 3rd floor of a classic (100 year old) building. The flat boasts a fully equipped open kitchen with a sizable granite counter in the middle. The living room layout is very easily customizable thanks to the fold-out furniture. The living room opens to a cozy bedroom (with double bed) with a balcony with street views.
The apartment has a fully equipped bathroom with shower, separate toilet and a laundry room.
Transportation:
Very easy access (walking distance) to various public transport options to choose from. The apartment is two minutes away from the subways (Line 3) and 4-5 minutes away from the Danube boat stops (allowing for leisurely travel on the river Danube between North and South). In the immediate vicinity of the building is a bus stop as well. (Trolley No. 75) On foot, it is a 25 minute pleasant walk to get to the city center (all along the river Danube).
Upon request bikes can be provided. By bike it takes about 6-8 minutes to get to the city center (bicycle routes nearby).
Location & amenities:
A restaurant can be found on the ground level of the building, so for fine lunch or dinner all you need to do is to walk down the stairs. In the vicinity there are several food stores some of which are open 24 Hours a day. As mentioned earlier the apartment is just minutes from the river Danube along which run a pedestrian-only walking path and and bicycle routes. Easy access to the famous Margaret Island just across the river. Margaret Island boasts lush parks, a public swimming pool, restaurants and bars an open-air theatre and running tracks (all around the Island) for sport enthusiasts. In addition there is safe playground for young children in the park just next to the building.

“terrific apartment and host”
the apt. was very clean and spacious. Peter greeted us with wine and other treats and showed us all the features of the place. Washing machine a real treat too. Good location, close to the Metro. Restaurant downstairs very good too. Our only issue was getting in as I kept pressing "del" after the apt. code, thinking, mistakenly, that it meant "deliver". It meant "delete". Great grocery store right down the street too.

“Absolutely Amazing”
This was my first time in Budapest. What can I say, the trip was excellent! I didn't just book an apartment, I booked an entire holiday. Peter is the most down to earth guy I have met in the world. For a small sum he even does airport pickup, which I recommend. I arrived at the airport bewildered because I don't normally fly into Eastern Europe, but I was met by Peter who took my bags and drove me to the apartment, which is located in Pest, close to West End shopping centre. He gave clear advice on how to set the alarm, where to go at night and what tourist traps to avoid. He also took us to the local Chinese takeaway and we had some food together. The apartment is just amazing. The kitchen is designer and everything from the toaster and kettle are also designer too. There are lots of pieces of Art in the apartment which have been painted by Peter. In short, I would say, I would say, if there are 2 of you and you are staying in Budapest, this apartment is a must

“Beautiful apartment and helpful owner”
The owner is very helpful and knowledgeable about the City! The apartment has good connections to transport, is close to a supermarket, convenience stores and a few restaurants. There were some great guide books and maps provided in the apartment, the kitchen had everything you could need including basic things like tea and cooking oil. We may come back!

“The best city in Europe!”
Had an amazing time and really enjoyed the city. The location of the apartemt is a little out of the downtown area of Budapest but still close enough to enjoy the amazing views, sights and scenery.
