Description
Villa Golf y Mar is in a quiet location on the prestigious Fuerteventura Golf Resort near Caleta de fuste, and enjoys fabulous views across the Golf Course to the sea beyond. The beaches of Caleta are within walking distance, as are a large selection of shops and restaurants.
The light and airy villa has 3 bedrooms and two bathrooms. The master bedroom located on the first floor has a kingsize and a single bed, fitted wardrobes and chest of drawers and a roomy East facing terrace with bistro set, perfect for that morning cup of coffee. Bedroom 2 (twin beds) is also on the first floor and it too has a fitted wardrobe, chest of drawers and a further spacious West facing terrace with bistro set for your sundowner. The family bathroom located on the first floor boasts a bath with shower over, toilet, bidet and large marble set basin.
Bedroom 3 (twin) is located on the ground floor and has wardrobes, chest of drawers and is adjacent to the 2nd bathroom with shower and toilet.
All bedrooms have fans.
The spacious living room on the ground floor hosts a large Plasma TV with UK and Sky TV channels, CD/DVD player (library of DVDs provided), IPOD dock and Wi-Fi, double doors the width of the room lead onto a large shaded terrace with dining table for up to 6, and a bbq and is perfect for al fresco dining. The large secluded plot has a landscaped private garden and has gates which are lockable from the inside and outside so are very secure for little ones. There is also a large sunny sunbathing area with 4 sun-beds.
The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering, with all the cooking implements required for a holiday in the sun. Appliances on offer include a washing machine, dishwasher, fridge, separate freezer, microwave, kettle, coffee machine and smoothie maker. There is also a dining room off the kitchen for those rare occasions when outside dining isn't feasible.
Guests have access to the private children’s and adults swimming pool, situated 75m from the villa, which is exclusive to fellow Villa owners and guests. Access to the pool area is gained via card fob which will be found at the villa on arrival.

Spacious lounge furnished in contemporary style enjoying two large sofas , storage units and coffee table with SKY HD TV,DVD player,CD and Ipod dock. Double patio doors lead the to alfresco dining area on terrace where you can enjoy the balmy evenings.
The kitchen is fully fitted with dark oak units with high gloss worktops. Fully integrated appliances oven, grill, hob, fridge and freezer , washing machine, dish washer. Also provided is microwave, kettle, toaster , smoothie maker and blender.
Master bedroom (on 1st floor) also spacious, large balcony with sea and golf course views.Bedroom two (1st floor) with twin beds, large balcony ,mountain views. Bedroom three (ground floor) twin beds. All bedrooms have fitted wardrobes with built in draw space and room fans are provided.Bathroom 1 upstairs very spacious with bath/shower, marble basin unit, toilet and bidet. Large mirror and ceramic tiled floor. Bathroom 2 downstairs has a shower, marble basin unit, mirror and toilet.
The house has a large terrace (facing East/South/West) with seating for 6 plus barbecue - ideal for enjoying the spectacular Canarian weather, and listening to the clink of golf ball on driver from the 18th tee. A further flat terraced area provides a lovely spot in which to sunbathe and soak up the sun, with sunbeds.

Villa Golf y Mar is adjacent to to the 17th tee of The Fuerteventura Golf Course and is just a 5 minute stroll from the Club House located in the luxurious 5* Elba Palace Golf Hotel which boasts luxurious facilities such as bars, restuarants, gym (fee payable), tennis (fee payable). . The Course,which was home to the Spanish Open Championship in 2004, welcomes visiting golfers and tee times can be booked in advance if required although availability is generally good.
A 10 minute stroll takes you to the Atlantico Centre with a large variety of shops a large supermarket with a fabulous offering of fresh meat, fish and vegetables, and an array of bars of restaurants.

“Lovely villa”
Great wee villa would make it 5 only just needs a maintenance update 1 showerhead loose 2 sockets loose in kitchen 3 double bed upgrade in master room more like a camp bed 4 oven needs more shelves 5 mirrors in rooms 6 Garden could with a revamp This still did not put us off would definitely rebook. Sheilgah was fantastic, if there was any issues she was there asap. Lovely place. View amazing. Pool fantastic. Great wee place.

I was hoping that the Community meeting held 3 days before your arrival would have instructed repairs to be done as they had someone available to start a 2 day job the very next day but sadly my co -owners did not agree to this. As a result I ensured that you had access to another pool which was very close by and it is regrettable that you feel that you did not have the experience at villa golf y mar which you had paid for. I have taken on board your comments, and If you would like to return again in the future I will personally ensure that your experience lives up to your expectations. Jan

Response from the owner Hello Keith, I am very disappointed with your review. You made no mention of any problem whilst at the villa hence giving me no opportunity to address the issues you allege. You were given reimbursement by Tripadvisor for the alleged problems you experienced whilst at the villa. I shall address your review in the detail you have provided: 1. The photos of the villa were taken 6 months ago. 2. Yes there are steps up to the villa front door and these are clearly shown in the photos. The villa is child friendly as the gates to the outside are lockable from inside. I do not advertise the villa as being suitable for the less able. 3.You did not complain about the TV not working until the 5th day of your stay. The TV system is a streaming system and it appears that you failed to use the wifi code which is provided in the Welcome Book. 4.You made no mention of any issues with the hot water until the 4th communication with myself/Tripadvisor. I've had up to 8 guests (4 adults, 2 children and 2 babies in cots) staying at the villa and no one has ever complained about the heat of the water or the amount thereof. 5.It was unfortunate that the pool had to close 2 days before your arrival and I arranged for my local Manager to give you a key to another pool which was less than 2minutes walk from the villa. She was however unable to contact you by mobile phone to arrange to pass the key to you as whenever you contacted her you with held your number. 6.I cannot be held responsible for the behaviour of guests in adjoining properties. May I politely suggest that next time you look to book a property you look for a detached apartment so that you can try to ensure a greater degree of peace and quiet. 7.There is ample parking outside along the road outside the villa for several cars. 8.I am not aware of any issues with the bedding but have asked my local manager to look into this. “Lovely bolthole”
Our villa stay was a great success. Shelagh was brilliant. She picked us up at the airport & took us (me!) to the supermarket immediately. She also transferred us back to the airport at the end of our stay. All for 25 Euros. The upstairs accommodation is lovely; except for the bed in the main bedroom, which was to be changed after we left. The view is as the photos show from the upstairs balcony. The downstairs twin room is more suitable for children than adults. A little bit of TLC could see this villa classed as luxurious - all beds, bedding, towels, a full length mirror for the vain! a thorough clean, esp. of the fridge, the balcony furniture, the walkway & please oil the front gates. It sounded like a smoke alarm chirping for a new battery! Taxis are really cheap - 3.5 - 4.5 euros. We got into a routine of me walking down to either the commercial centre to the right or Caleta itself to the left - as you look from the villa - about 20 minutes - doing the daily shop & returning by taxi. (The bananas are better in the supermarket in Caleta!). NB Put "00" in front of phone numbers for both Shelagh & the taxi firms from mobiles. We ate out in various places. Would recommend the steak place at the end of the underpass, opposite where the market (non food) is held on Tuesdays & Saturdays. Also the 60s cafe in Caleta for cheap English breakfasts,perfect coffee & a loo. A jug of Pina Colada was 12 euros & was great fun!!! - but very mild! The Scottish steak restaurant - Aberdeen? was good value, if predictable.I think the best steak restaurant is the Fado, but we were on a budget. A good value trip if you don't want to jet ski or snorkel, is the trip across to Playa Blanca on Lanzarote, from Correlajo, for 33 euros. Coach to Correlajo, across on the ferry about 11.00 am & back at 5.30. Playa Blanca is the best resort on Lanzarote. Market on Wednesday at the marina. A whole day to wander round the beautiful little town. Agent in Caleta much more helpful than the one in the commercial centre. She did not even mention this trip! However, the piece de resistance must be the pool. Absolutely stunning & under used. Proper toilets & shower facilities with comfortable plentiful loungers. Only for the residents from the surrounding villas. The weather in early June was perfect for us - warm wind with intermittent cloud cover & around 24 degrees made it pleasant to wander about.

“nice location”
perfect location for our golf trip, nice neighbours on both sides, villa clean, pillows very flat, would definitely stay again and plan to book a return visit soon.ps we ate in a restaurant four nights only five mins from the villa where the food was outstanding.

“Perfect retreat !!!”
Shelagh,the agent looking after us was amazing!!! On second day of our visit we had major boiler problem after one phone call to Shelagh, it was sorted same day! Location was good for us. We were two couples and each had a balcony off our bedrooms upstairs. There was also a smaller twin room which we didn't use so great space. Don't like to be living next door to bars and noise etc so was perfect! Only 4 euros to Atlantica centre for shopping and beach etc, most days we would walk down and get taxi back. Loved the Villa the space was great inside and out! Pool was practically on doorstep, though we liked the breeze along with sun on the beach! Definitely would go back tomorrow, Had no problems getting answers to any Questions from owner Jan G and was a great first time experience using trip advisor! Highly recommend!
