After a 2 year break we are pleased to once again offer our beautiful, modern and private Apartment for holiday rental.
The perfect place to relax and unwind, Casita Alicia is the newly renovated top floor of a charming old Andalucian farmhouse, set in the middle of the countryside surrounded by mountains. Originally housing goats and chickens, it has now been transformed into a luxury one bedroom apartment with open plan living area and a wonderfully secluded private courtyard with a covered dining area and gas barbeque/oven plus a larger than average plunge pool.
The ideal place for birdwatching and walking and in the cooler months, cycling. Unleash your inner Eric Clapton and enjoy playing one of the host´s acoustic guitars. There are many books and games to wile away the hours and a portable easel for those artists amongst you. Or just simply relax, soak up the sun and spend romantic evenings stargazing and with very little light pollution the heavens look wonderful (a 4" aperture telescope is available for your use).
Casita Alicia is a 15 minute drive from Riogordo and the historical Moorish village of Comares, both with numerous bars, shops, banks and medical centres, yet only a 45 minute drive through mango, avocado and lemon groves to the coast. We are ideally placed for day trips to most of the Andalucian cities which are served by excellent motorways.
Venture to one of our local bars where you will be warmly welcomed and enjoy delicious home cooked Spanish food. Please don´t be surprised if half the clientele arrive on mule or horseback!
With only goats and the occasional tractor causing traffic jams, this is the perfect rural retreat.
If you require any washing to be done, please feel free to ask.
You will receive a warm welcome from your friendly hosts who take the greatest pleasure in ensuring your stay here is memorable.
Please note we do not object to people smoking on the terraces but we respectfully ask guests to refrain from smoking inside.

“Perfect holiday retreat”
1st class apartment, spotless and the attention to detail is remarkable. Everything has been thought of and even the fridge is stocked with essentials so there is no need to rush off to the supermarket the minute you arrive. Nestled in the mountains but easily accessable by car and with your own parking spot. Beautiful views, lovely walks and not far from the nearest village (15-20mins by car) where you can get everything you need. Emma and Ron are so helpful and welcoming, perfect hosts. The bedroom is double aspect so with windows open at night there is no need for aircon (July) and two fans are provided. No need to take a book either, there is an excellent selection to choose from. This really is the place to get away from it all and relax and like everyone else who has been, we too would like to return!
