Villa sleeps up to 6 (maximum 4 adults) and is ideal for families or couples looking for a relaxed, comfortable holiday in the sun. Private sun terrace with sun loungers and patio furniture. Children's pool and large attractive swimming pool just outside your patio! Safe sandy beach and seawater lagoon a few minutes walk. Pool bar with tasty snacks beside heated swimming pool.

The complex also has a comprehensive supermarket, gym (at an extra cost), restaurants and bars! If you wish to go further within 10 minutes walk you have a huge choice of attractive shops,well priced restaurants and friendly bars.

“Lovely but in desperate need of updating”

Beautiful apartment on a lovely complex although the complex is looking very tired - still exactly the same as it was when it was timeshare some 20 years ago. Beautiful location - perfect for families as can leave apartment open while sitting around the pool - baby pool is ideal for the younger members of the family - nice and warm. Big pool although slightly chilly has not stopped people from staying in it - in fact it has been “full” the whole time we have been here (never over crowded due to the other 6 pools on site). The apartment, while lovely is in need of some renovations. This hasn’t changed a huge amount in 20 years - new sofa but everything else looks the same. In my honest opinion, new mattresses/beds are needed - and a new bathtub most definitely needed as is extremely rusty at one end plus new patio doors as they do not open easily and bang with the slightest draft. Information is given saying that you can hire a safe - this is no longer possible meaning there is no safe within the apartment unfortunately. It is a family apartment not one of many on someone’s books which does mean there are fantastic extras in the apartment such as boules, buckets etc although these extras make it very hard to store your own possessions as there are very few empty spaces for clothes/ hand luggage items etc. As the apartment is privately owned and not one on sands’ inventory we as guests are treated very differently unfortunately - we have to pay for any of the activities (10 euros a person per activity), parking down the side of the complex (50 euros per week) although we parked at the front for free, sun beds around the lagoon (11euros) and the same around the mai tai with the heated pool. We also are not allowed to use the 25 m training pool at all as we do not have the wrist bands on which identify you as sands customers - this is an on going issue between the hotel and the owners although it makes you feel very inferior being told that you cannot use a part of the resort. All in all we have had a lovely time and would definitely return but would hope to see/hear of some changes first.

“What a Wonderful Holiday”

It was our first time at Sands Beach Resort, so therefore our first time at 5, Amarillo I would just like to say what a wonderful place it is. The complex itself was absolutely spotless and the villa too was very clean and spacious. We cooked a lot of our own meals and everything we wanted was there. There is also a washing machine which meant we didn't have to take as many clothes with us. You are only minutes away from the beach and you have a swimming pool outside your door there is also a separate children's pool. There are plenty of shops, bars and restaurants all within 10 minutes walking distance. Just opposite the hotel there is Hammond's Bar who have a nice variety of meals all at reasonable prices. There is a nice Indian restaurant just a 10 minute walk away and many more. If anyone likes coffee I would suggest that you take your own in a zipbag (as we did) which will lie flat in your case and weigh nothing, coffee is expensive to buy in Lanzarote. We hope to go back again next year. Thank you Keith for helping us to have a fantastic holiday.

“A FANTASTIC HOLIDAY”

this is the 3rd time i have stayed at num 5 Amarilla sands beach and have really enjoyed my stay every time .the apartment is bright and welcoming and very clean . it has everything to make it feel like home from home .it also has the advantage of a washing machine so that you don't need to pack loads as you can wash as you go.it is close to bars and restaurants for nights out ,but lovely to relax in the apartment with food and a glass of wine as well.i shall be returning in April 2017 with some friends because i enjoy it so much .would recommend it to all my family and friends . Thank you.
