DAR SIENNA - COSY ARTIST'S HOUSE IN FEZ ANCIENT MEDINA - YOUR HOME is a small, cosy artist's house in a truly inspirational and exceptional location near Place Nejjarine. English owner, and super English/French speaking staff. Fab location for guests wishing to experience authentic medina life, the souks (markets) and craft workshops. Sleeps up to 6 guests. Families with children welcome. Ideal for a honeymoon....seriously romantic. Our legendary breakfasts are included in the rates. Plenty to set you up for a day's exploration of the exciting medina.
You are only a 5 minute walk from the nearest car park and taxis at R'Cif. All the major sights are close by, not to mention a myriad of workshops, making babouches (Moroccan slippers), saddles for fantasias, jewellery and weaving carpets and cloth. And of course there are local cafes and fabulous market at R'Cif for fresh fruit and vegetables too. You will feel like you are LIVING here, not as a tourist, because Fez medina is still a fully residential and functional city.
THE HOUSE
DAR SIENNA is a beautifully proportioned traditional Moroccan townhouse (known as a dar) with 3 bedrooms, one per floor, each with a private bathroom. The bedrooms overlook the covered central courtyard salon. The courtyard has a table, sofa and pouffes, and is a lovely area to relax and have mint-tea.
2 private roof terraces, and a shaded patio with breathtaking 360 degree view over the ancient medina rooftops.
CHAMBRE CELESTE: Double bed, Rooftop bedroom with divine medina views, small ensuite shower and toilet.
CHAMBRE SEFFARINE: Double bed. Mid-level with lovely medina view and huge family bathroom.
CHAMBRE TAGORE/ MOROCCAN SALON: This room is on the courtyard and kitchen level. It can be arranged as either a twin bed, or 2 single beds, or if only needing 2 bedrooms. This bedroom can be used as an additional sitting area, depending on your requirements and group size. In case of a large group of young persons, we can provide an additional fold-away single mattress for this room.There is an additonal small shower/toilet/washbasin one floor below. We also have a baby cot.

STAFF: Our lovely, and caring staff, Ahmed, the House Manager, and Saba our sweet Housekeeper will welcome you with Moroccan hospitality and take care of you like family. Ahmed and Saba are non-resident, but live close by, so you will have plenty of privacy.Ahmed speaks English/French/Arabic and will ensure help you maximize your stay in Fez. He is a font of knowledge and loves meeting guests. Saba prepares our legendary breakfasts, which are served from 9.00am (whenever you are ready!) on the terraces or in the courtyard salon. and takes care of the housekeeping.

“Eine tolles Zuhause”
Dar Sienna ist wirklich mehr als ein Unterkunft. Sie kann ein echtes Zuhause sein für alle, die einige Tage in Fes leben wollen. Die Zimmer und die Wohnung sind liebevoll und geschmackvoll eingerichtet, alles ist sehr sauber. Die Dachterasse ist ein Traum. “comfortable riad - good value”
This riad is a great value and the staff go out of their way to make you comfortable. The beds are extremely comfortable and the view from the roof is unbeatable. I especially recommend the second story room with the large exterior bathroom - it is like a private hamam. The owners seem to love Fes, and do all they can to help their guests have a great experience. Each room has a binder with a map of the old city, a list of Arabic words and some information on local culture. A staff member picked us up from the train with a clearly marked sign. The breakfast was great. I look forward to staying here again. I especially recommend this to couples - or friends who don't mind sharing a bed.
