We live in Arlington, VA. Our family has vacationed at this special place on Deep Hole Creek for almost half a century. For a long time, we camped out in a charming, but incredibly rustic, 100+ year-old clam house right on the water. 2003, we built Epiphany, and were delighted when the unique charm of place was still there in a modern home. (The second, clam-house replacement - Eureka! - followed in 2009.)
The photo in the profile shows our family in front of the old clam house- taken in 2005. We take personal care & pride in managing our homes. We hope that everyone who stays here enjoys it as much as we have. We have a local manager handle cleaning and emergencies. We've been fortunate to have the same dedicated cleaning crew for years. They pride themselves on doing a fabulous job and consistently get rave comments from guests. I sleep better knowing they are on the job. We ask each guest how we can make the house "more perfect". One Memorial Day a guest said: "A hammock" Voila: a ground-level deck under the gazebo with hammock! by mid June.
