Overview

Kikili House is owned and run by Henri Tatham and Kokila Harindra. Together this dynamic duo has launched 'Kikili House'. An innovative, creative, colourful, calm, Home Stay in the heritage town of Galle, just outside the fort in southern Sri Lanka.

Henri moved to Sri Lanka in 2002, from London, to manage The Taprobane Collection – including the well known Sun House hotel, boasting to be the first Boutique hotel in the south of the island.

'The difference is in the detail' was her motto and the personal touches that worked she then transformed to a luxury bed & breakfast, run smoothly with care and assistance to each of her guests.

Koki was born and raised in Galle giving him unrivalled knowledge of the area and country assuring the trips and tours he can arrange will be tailor made to suit all the guests desires.


What do you get at Kikili House:

• Kikili House is excellent value, with all the extras you receive without asking. A retreat with a tropical garden for drinks with friends, a spacious verandah perfect for morning yoga and meditation and a warm, welcoming vibe.

• Kikili House is brilliant for partners looking for romance, families looking for fun and solo travellers looking for adventure - especially solo women, everyone feels safe and at home.

• If arriving on a late flight not only can we provide transport from the airport but there will always be something to eat and drink on arrival. The larder is always well stocked!

• Or, of course if arriving early Breakfast is available. Homemade muesli and locally sourced jams and fresh produce are on offer, fresh juices, king coconut or traditional western or sri lankan breakfasts to accompany good coffee.

• Wifi is complimentary, energy is solar. A well stocked honesty bar, cinema screenings and hosting of informal dinners for friends and family make this Bed and Breakfast different from the others.

• The house has 5 double bedrooms, all with a/c and modern en-suite bathrooms. Quality mattresses and toppers with top of the range pillows and linen ensure you feel like you have been wrapped in a cloud ready to send you into a deep sleep.

• Plymouth Rock has a private balcony where you can sit and watch the monkeys jump from tree to tree in the morning.

• Silky Bantum is the smallest of the rooms absolutely perfect for solo travellers and being at the back of the house ensures minimum outside noise, both these rooms are offered at a lower rate per night.

• Favorelle, Wali Kukula and Orpington all have private, small, luscious gardens and slightly larger bathrooms and are at a higher rate than the other two.

• Hen has thought of everything supplying each room with it's own hairdryer, beach basket parasol, beach towels, sun hats, night torches, cotton dressing gowns, plenty of hanging and storage space, mosquito nets, unique indian bed throws and personal touches that are mirrored throughout the house.


Children Pets

We welcome children over the age of 12 as we are an adult orientated home and less suited to young children and toddlers.
We have two in house dogs, Manuella and Bob – well trained and good company.

Nothing is too much trouble here.
The house has 3 in-house push bikes, 2 mopeds to hire, an in house tuk tuk and their own car for airport pick ups and local trips or further afield.


Koki's specialist and detailed knowledge combined with Hen's enthusiasm and love of life make them perfect hosts for your time in Sri Lanka.

Amazing colorful hotel, just alive with colors, offers healthy and tasty breakfast, each room has great library! Bit away from Galle fort, 20 min walking distance to Fort.
