Mithna tal-Patrun farmhouse welcomes you with a very large arched living room, complete with cable T.V. and bamboo furniture. On the ground floor, you find the kitchen, dining room, bathroom and a bedroom with a double bed and single bed. A back yard enjoying country views with private swimming pool, sun bathing terrace, shower and barbecue area.On the first floor you can find two bedrooms; one with three single beds (shower en suite), and another with a double bed and a single bed (shower en suite).

“Not as described - really only a 2 bedroom property”
The converted building is lovely and the pool and pool area is very pleasant but we were very disappointed to find that the bedrooms were not as described. In the property description it is described as: "On the ground floor, you find the kitchen, dining room, bathroom and a bedroom with a double bed and single bed. On the first floor you can find two bedrooms; one with three single beds (shower en suite), and another with a double bed and a single bed (shower en suite)." This is not correctly described. There are only 2 bedrooms, both on the first floor and accessible via outside steps. One is a double bedroom with cot and the other has three single beds. The third bedroom is not a room at all. It is a double bed on a sort of mezzanine level above the living room. It is accessed via a rather difficult set of wooden steps, not much better than a ladder. This third bedroom is very low (you can't stand up properly in it) and it has no doors or windows. There is no way to get privacy or to efficiently cool it with the air conditioning. To cool it you would have to cool the entire living/dining area of the villa. Not good when you are paying for the air con on a coin operated meter. This villa was lovely but definitely not 3 proper bedrooms. As two couples with two children, the sleeping arrangements were very difficult. One couple had to be separated with one adult sleeping alone in the makeshift room they call a third bedroom. If we had known this we would not have booked this villa. It spoilt our week somewhat and I feel the description of the bedrooms is very very misleading. I would not recommend this property for this reason, unless you are one couple with older children who can sleep in the room next door and you don't need the third 'bedroom'. On a lesser note, some of the facilities in the villa could do with a little TLC. Some power sockets were loose in the walls, one of the sun loungers was broken and unusable, we had to ask for new batteries for the remote controls, the air con meter stopped working because it hadn't been emptied by the owner, the fridge light didn't work and the fridge needed to be defrosted or replaced as everything near the back froze. I would also say bring your own pillows for the beds as they are the worst I have ever tried to sleep on.
