The Space
Comfortable & Clean without luxuries this home exudes old world charm. It's ideal for a couple, a group or small family with young kids that want some privacy.
Do your own cooking or walk to the nearby restaurants. There is also a caretaker upon request during the day. She can clean and assist with the washing & cooking. She is an expert on local cuisine.
Relax in the afternoon with a book in the garden and let the birds serenade you or be entertained by the antics of the local monkeys.
The house has two separate entrances one leads to an annex comprising 1 bedroom , kitchenette, toilet & sitting room. The other has two bedrooms with a shared toilet, dining/lounge and kitchen equipped with a microwave & fridge.
Use this as a base to explore Sri lanka's Cultural triangle & the Central Highlands. There's entertainment and other amenities within easy reach. Pallekele Cricket stadium is only a 20 minute drive by car or tuk tuk. Public transport is almost at your doorstep.
All of Kandy's major attractions including the Temple of the tooth are within 10 minute walking distance. Botanic gardens is a 15 minute drive away.

“City centre is 15 minutes walk - Perfect to see Temple of Tooth and Perehera”
We had a great time there as Pushpa the housekeeper could cook authentic Sri Lankan food. The Suisse hotel is nearby so you can have a swim in their pool, book a massage or have evening dinner complete with drinks and you have not far to walk back - less than two minutes. We enjoyed walking around the lake and seeing the Kandy Perehera, the market and the Temple of the Tooth. As a photographer and nature lover, I loved watching the birds in the morning and was always out with my camera seeing Kingfishers, Cormorants, monkeys tortoises near the lake which was about a minutes walk. The monkeys were entertaining to watch seeing father, mother and baby monkeys go up and down the telephone wire near the house.
