The Neighbourhood
Bangsar offers a great potpourri of expensive and also affordable cuisines, with restaurants serving Malay, Indian and Chinese local cuisines to also Italian, Mexican, Western cuisines. You could find meals as cheap as RM 4.50/USD1.50 at the local restaurants. Within Bangsar, you will find two of the best banana leaf restaurants, Devi's Corner and Nirwana and an average meal costs about USD 2, consisting of rice, three types of vegetables and chicken.
If you have a great appetite and cash to spare, you could enjoy their fish head curry and other mouth watering delicacies including crabs and prawns. Bangsar and Mont Kiara offer vibrant nightlife with pubs, bars and cafes, drawing fun seekers of all age groups, nationalities and background.

Getting around
A shopping mall is just within 10 minutes of walk from the guest house, is the upmarket Bangsar Shopping Center and a 10 minutes from there are the Bangsar Village 1 & 11. The popular, one-time largest shopping mall in Asia, is the Midvalley MegaMall and its new brother, The Gardens, is located just about 10 minutes by car. On the other end are the Tropicana Mall, Paradigm Mall, One Utama Shopping Center, IKEA and Ikano, all within 15 minutes drive from the guest house.

Being in central of Klang Valley, you have access to Kuala Lumpur, Mont Kiara and also Petaling Jaya, all of which boast of interesting landmarks and tourist destinations. We look forward to the completion of MRT in 2015 which will be just behind Cotton Fields. You could also take the feeder bus to the Bangsar LRT Station that takes you to both ends of KL and PJ. KLCC, Twin Towers and the Golden Triangle are just about 15 minutes from the station going north, and Midvalley Megamall, Sunway Lagoon, I-City are between 5 minutes to 30 minutes from Bangsar LRT going south.

If you have a vehicle, the world is in your hands. You could get on to the highway just behind the guest house, that connects you to other highways going towards Penang, Langkawi, Cameron Highland, Genting Highlands, and other great destinations.

You can take the Public Bus (U87) from Bangsar Shopping Center, just about 10 minutes walk from our guest house. The bus takes you to the Bangsar LRT Station, KL Sentral (walking distance to Little India, ERL to KLIA), Central Market (Pasar Seni), where China Town, the Maha Mariamman Temple, the ubiquitous Merdeka Square, St. John's Church are all located. The line also connects you to KLCC, and the former Little India, known as Masjid India (where you could go shopping for gold ornaments, sarees, and rich Indian spices)

Also, from KL Sentral, you could hop on the monorail to get to Bukit Bintang (Golden Triangle), where you could go shopping at StarHill, Lot 10, Sungei Wang Plaza, Bukit Bintang Plaza, or landmarks such as KL Tower, KLCC, etc.

Access to International Schools/Colleges:
Cotton Fields is close to universities, colleges, and international schools such as Garden International School, Mont Kiara International School, HELP, Monash University, KDU, University Malaya, Inti College.

Access to Private Medical Centers:
Cotton Fields if close to the Pantai Medical Center, Tropicana Medical Center, and Damansara Specialist Center. The Ayur Center which is the most popular center for Ayurvedic treatment, is just about 10 minutes from Cotton Fields.

Access to Golf Courses:
Cotton Fields is just about 5 minutes from KLGCC, a popular venue for PGA Golf Tour and European Golf Tour. About 30 minutes away is the Tropicana Golf Course.

Other Great Destinations Nearby:
Little India of Malaysia is located in Brickfields just about 15 minutes from Cotton Fields. You will get to visit popular Indian Temples and also the Buddhist Maha Vihara. The Thai Buddhist Chetawan Temple is an amazing structure and is brilliantly lit up especially during Wesak.
