Description

Soga Lounge Hosteria (Hostal) offers private accommodation in rustic bamboo rooms with private bathrooms and near the beach.

We have an onsite bar and restaurant serving ecuadorians meals as well as kitchen facilities and BBQ (on request), for those who want to make their own food.

A free breakfast (eggs, fruit, bread and a hot drink) is included in the price of your room, if you need something more robust, we are happy to accommodate at a small cost.

Free wifi is available in all areas of the property from your room to the bar and hammocks.

Soga Hostal is the perfect spot if you want to take a break from the hustle and bustle of travel to relax and socialise. As well as being near a beach, we have a pool right next to the bar, hammocks, a large communal TV area and a Ping Pong table.

We are an easy pick up ride ($1 USD) or taxi ($10-$15 USD) ride from the city of Manta, which boasts an international airport and flights from Quito. There are also regular buses coming into Manta from towns such as Quito, Montanita, Guayaquil etc... If you give enough advance notice, we can organise a pickup from the airport or bus terminal for $10 USD.

As we are located outside of the city, we have a very safe community feeling here and all the neighbours know each other:) There are some small supermarkets within walking distance, as well as the local fruit lady. You can walk along the beach in the morning and watch the local fisherman come in with their catch or search with the locals as they scour the low tide exposed rocks for octopus.

If you like to kite surf or want to give it a go, this is a spot where you can enjoy some kiting with a local business offering rental and classes. Feel free to ask our hostal manager to set this up for you.
